Well for starters, their service is terrible. It goes out at least once a week. Their techs have disconnected my internet while outside connecting a neighbors then drove off without connecting mine back into the tap. I called frontier and they said it would be a week before someone could plug it back in. Not sure why he couldn't just turn around for that! Then out of the blue I see my bill is $207. I call and ask for an explanation and they didn't have one so the lady said she will try to get a credit on my account to fix it. She submitted the request and the higher ups denied it! I call back. They said they're not going to approve it because they accidentally gave me credit over the last few months and want me to pay it back. I asked how this was my fault and why I have to pay for it they said it wasn't but it was out of their hands. I have this set up on autopay so they just took the money as they pleased. Had a new install on a Thursday then the service went out not 24 hrs later on Friday. I called the help line and they diagnosed that it had to be a hardware issue outside the house. I would not recommend frontier. Their equipment kept messing up and they wouldn't fix it despite numerous attempts. (An apt downstairs from me had a flyer from them where they wrote I was here to fix your equipment). I got sick and tired of asking. They need to stop LYING. The installation included three wifi 6 Eero routers that provide more than adequate service throughout the house. Unfortunately, they have lots of extended outages, even during good weather. Today I was charged $49 for my first months service which was supposed to be $0.00. I contacted customer support via chat and the customer service person essentially told me I was a liar for 50 minutes and they was not such promo. I kept asking for a manager and offered over and over again to send promo to Mark, but he would or could not provide one and would not connect me to a manager. Finally after an hour of him telling me no such promo was available he came back and told me I was not eligible because service has to be installed between June7th and July 30th. Mine was installed on June 5th and the promo makes no mention of a start date only an end date of June 30th (today). Best he would provide is a 'sorry' after wasting an hour of my time. I upgraded my WiFi and removed the TV package I'm 5/3/23. The "Contractor" from Frontier FIOS, didn't migrate to system to the X Pon for the upgraded internet. The internet went out 48 hours later. Frontier still uses "Contractors" not Frontier FIOS trained Technicians, Very similar to "Cable Guy Installers", thus was the problem with the upgrade. I work remote, there wasn't any help from the overseas customer service call center. The earliest Technician was on 5/8/23. I didn't have internet to do my work, no empathy from Frontier whatsoever. As it turns out the Frontier canceled the technician without notifying me. They there was an outage in the area! I checked the website for Frontier outages and there were none! They wouldn't send out a technician until 5/11/23. I am without internet for 6 days!! The FIOS Technician showed up on the 5/11/23 and fixed the problem. He said that the "Contractor" did a poor job and didn't do the work required to upgrade the system. I contacted Frontier, Area Service and said I wanted credit and explained the situation of poor customer treatment. They apologized, worked up a credit for over $218, said it had to approved. I was sent a text later that evening saying it was not approved!! I called again and the best they could do is to over $31 credit for the down time. They shunted me around through their voice response system because their agents have no ability to actually help customers After waiting an extended time, I got sick of it, dropped the call and set up service with another ISP. Unfortunately, that still meant that I had to wait in their interminable phone queue to cancel my Frontier service because they do not have an efficient way to cancel (and because said agents have ZERO ability to actually assist customers on the first contact). I called Frontier to inquire about getting internet service. During the discussion, I asked the sales person how long the price lock would be in effect for the quoted price. She informed me that the price of my service would never change. I told her that I had never heard of such a deal from an internet provider, and that I would like to get that agreement in writing. She said that I would get it after we finished the sign up process. Of course, there was nothing in the terms and conditions that I received about permanent pricing or a service term. I got on their online chat, and they told me that I was misinformed during the call, and that they could not tell me anything about when the price of my service would change. The only thing they could tell me was that I would be informed a month before it changed, whenever they decided for that to happen. So I told them that I would like to cancel my service set up order since I had been misinformed and they could tell me how long my service price would be in effect. The chat service person said that he would transfer me to a Loyalty Perusal department on chat. Then I got messages for about 30 minutes on chat that informed me that they were experiencing a higher than expected volume of service requests. Then the chat stopped updating with those repetitive advisories so after about 10 minutes, I didn't know if it was still working or what. It seemed frozen. So I decided to try calling Frontier, and the voice menu steered me to a call queue, once again informing me that they were experiencing a higher than expected volume of callers. I've been waiting for over an hour so far, and I am starting to suspect that they are never going to put a person on the phone.
