Clockwise from top: Ham and Brie Toast, Potato Tostones and Longanisa Sando
    Han W.

Very crispy potato tostones. Longanisa Sando was pretty good too. A large assortment of different butter mochi flavors and other pastries. Overall a fun and inspired menu with a matching cute and homey decor. Would come back to try other menu items. One nit is the back near the water station and restroom could use some renovation. There was a slight odor, etc.

Date: Friday, March 27th, 2026 Meal: Lunch Delivery Ordered Thru: DoorDash DashPass Time Placed: around 2:15pm Arrived: about an hour later Neighborhood Delivered: Evergreen *Japanese Egg Salad ($15.50) *Hashbrown ($4.50) *Long Distance Fee ($2.99) *Service Fee ($1.99) *Tax ($1.31) *Discount (-$6) I've been meaning to try Milk Belly for quite some time. I adore a good egg sandwich. Especially a soft fluffy japanese style one. Since I was home alone, I decided to just go for it. Plus, I believe it was during DD's happy hour, so I got a discount. I enjoyed the hash brown. It fulfilled that McD breakfast / tater tot potato craving. I wanted to like the sando since this place gets great reviews. Unfortunately I found their bread dry. And the filling to bread ratio was off for me. It needed more egg salad to balance out the drier bread. Maybe their bread is normally lighter and fluffier and this was an off day. But I wasn't impressed with their egg salad sando. REVIEW #4039

Everything was delicious We arrived right at opening in the morning. There was already a line. We did get yelled at for blocking the entrance but that's okay, it's a fire hazard so they had to be firm and tell us. Lots of seating and bar seating. I liked the decor and merch they had to look at while waiting in line. For food, we got the Hong Kong toast, salmon toast, longanisa sandwich and the smash burger sandwich. The Hong Kong toast was so so good! The bread holds up really well with the condensed milk and Nutella's. Portion is big for us so we saved half for later. I had the salmon toast on like a sesame bread I think it was and it was good. I thought it came with avocado but that's me not reading the description well. I did get a lot of salmon and pickled leeks. The leeks were different but hey it was season. My son liked the lifnanisa sandwich but he felt that it he meat dint hold the traditional Filipino flavors. Drinks were good. My son liked the cinemas iced coffee and my daughter liked the matcha cloud. We were here visiting for fanimecon over the Memorial Day weekend but next time I'm back in San Jose I'll pick up a loft of bread. You won't be disappointed!

Breakfast sando, spam and ham sando, and potatoes

First time trying Milk Belly again after they opened up their storefront! Their potato tostones were just as delicious as I remembered. I first experienced Milk Belly when they were a ghost kitchen in Ruff Dr. (and I was a repeat customer), so it's pretty cool to see them have their own shop serving unique Asian-inspired baked goods and sandos. This spot is located near San Pedro Square, around the Mini Boss and F1rst Cafe area, next to Pastelaria Adega. Parking is either lot parking or street parking due to the nature of being downtown. When I got here, there was no line. However, I will say they were slammed with pickup orders. When you order your food, it goes into the same queue as pickup orders, even if you ask for it "for here," just as a heads up. Because of that, it took quite a while for my partner and me to receive our food. When we were here, I ordered their Dirty Hojicha Latte and man, this drink blew my mind. I was not expecting to be so wowed by it. This might have been the best cream top I've ever had. The peanut butter flavor paired so well with the hojicha. For food, we ordered the Spam and Egg Sando, the Breakfast Sando, and the Potato Tostones. For the sandos, I really enjoyed the fluffiness of their shokupan. It worked really well together and wasn't so soft that the sandwiches felt soggy. Each sando had its own unique sauce that I enjoyed. The sauce on the Spam and Egg had a nice Kewpie and sriracha flavor going on, whereas the Breakfast Sando was citrusy and cilantro-forward. Our favorite dish was the potatoes, though. There were loads of baby potatoes, fried and coated with fatty olive oil. It was so good. Additionally, I have picked up their Black Sesame Sourdough before and enjoyed it thoroughly. I would say the black sesame flavor didn't come through as much as I would have liked, but it still had a nice chew. Overall, this is a really good and unique spot! I don't think there is anything else in DTSJ quite like it :)

Small adorable space with cute decor and some retail! Delicious and unique food items / pastries. Loving the chocolate chip cookie and the hojicha banana bread. They make their milk bread in house and it looks so fresh! Their egg sandwich and fruit sandwich is to die forrrr

I like the typical shokupan you can find in Japan (I guess they're called milk bread in US) so I've been wanting to check this place out and I finally got a chance to try it out. I got the longanisa sando. The bread was just like the typical shokupan you can find in japan. Fluffy, with a hint of sweetness. The sando's meat worked very well with the sandwich. The egg was a very nice combination too. My only complaint is that the egg could've also been fluffier, more soft and raw where egg here was pretty hard and firm. Also, it would've been good to have egg flavored with dashi or more butter, but that's all just my personal preference. The cheese really bind the meat and the egg well. What I have to mention is the habanero sauce (Or I think it was? You can see in the pic the label was kinda washed out so I'm not sure exactly what the sauce was). Perfect amount of spicy kick and a sweetness combined. Using the sauce really took up the sandwich by a notch but it might not be for everyone since it is rather spicy. The staff were very friendly and the inside had a good chill vibe with good back ground music. I'd definitely want to be back to try out more!

Got the lemongrass chicken salad sandwich to split with a friend on our first visit here. The bread was soft, light and fluffy and had a great texture. We both enjoyed the sandwich and the veggies and herbs that gave it a light and multi dimension flavor. Delightful summer sandwich- will be back to try other menu items!

Not cheap here, but good impression so far. You can feel it in the spacious interior with good vibes and positive staff members. It's a modern place to grab your small breakfast fix or matcha beverage and definitely a great place to chill. Public restroom is available. Pour your own water in back and toss your own trash. It's a popular spot, so long lines in the morning are expected. Good music playing in the background too. Smoked Salmon Toast $18 and Citrus Yuzu Lemon Tea $8. Yes, I dined inside for a good half hour. The salmon toast turned out much smaller in sourdough size and portions than expected. It was the smallest and finest thin toast I've ever had, but the flavors are very good for smoked salmon with the house vinaigrette and pickled veggie bits. It was unique. It's nothing like what you would have expected for a good smoked salmon toast. Food presentation was perfect. The lemon tea was also unique in basil flavors. It turned out to be one of the best citrus yuzu beverages I've ever had. Nice. This is worth revisiting again. I'm looking forward to trying out the sandos and matcha beverages in the future.

This place is cute as hell and the staff is super kind. We had a variety of the sandwiches and was surprised that the 4yo loved the lemongrass chicken the most! Bread is soooooft and drinks are amazing! 10/10 recommended and don't skip the potato tostones (smashed potatoes with so much flavor).

This place is so good. I came twice during my conference. My favorite items were definitely the breakfast sandwich and pandan butter mochi. Like I can't speak highly enough about this spot and wished they had a location down in the SGV or LA. Parking looks to be on the street. Service was quick and friendly. Would absolutely be back if i'm in town.

10/10 food and 10/10 service!!! I remember getting milk belly back when it was in a ghost kitchen so I'm sooo happy they have their own store front now! I bigbacked with my housemate and we got three sandwiches (two savory and one sweet), ube scone, and a slice of egg tart. Always get the spam egg cheese sandwich with hashbrown add on! And steak one which was a seasonal one I think was sooo good that I hope it stays!!! And ugh the dessert... so so good if I wasn't worried about my carb intake I would come back every week

    Viet coffee

Went with a friend and overall the food was good. The vibes are casual, pretty self service for the most part besides ordering your food. I would not recommend the viet coffee, it's nothing like the typical flavor profile/ strength of a viet coffee. It tasted like a regular milky latte. The sandwiches were good overall, my favorite was definitely the smash sando (I'm not sure why this is on their special menu, I feel like this should be a staple menu item). They gave enough where it definitely made me full so in that respect it's worth the $13-15 price range. I personally wouldn't go out of my way to order from here again, nothing particularly wow'd me about this place and although they were good they were still just sandwiches.

Japanese Egg Salad and Longaniza Sando

it's so fluffy stopped by this place for a quick lunch/snack. this place is a cute little cafe. order at the counter and find yourself a table. their menu is very simple: sandwiches and toast. we tried their japanese egg salad which was simple yet delicious. egg salad with a whole egg in the center. my favorite was their longanisa sando, which is basically a egg and cheese sandwich. the sausage had a mild sweetness, which I found quite pleasant. the bread on this one was toasted, which provided a nice contrasted to the egg salad sandwich. the bread is def the star of the show - fresh and majestically fluffy. the sandwiches were surprisingly filling, perfect for lunch. my only qualm would be the price. it is slightly pricey for san jose, but given the relative novelty of it, it makes sense.

They had some Fanime specials for the con (katsu and egg salad sandwiches, spam musubi), seasonal drinks, of course coffees and teas, and non caffeinated drinks, as well as some food too (heated up pastries, both sweet and savory). There's a restroom with a code and a couple seats and tables with outlets to charge your devices. Service was welcoming and efficient especially after the crowds started to pick up. I got the: 1) Egg Salad Sando: -You can tell these were handmade in store. They had cute washi tape to hold the packaging together. -Solid egg salad sandwich. Slightly sweet white bread and generous amount of egg salad inside the sandwich. Creamy mayo taste that isn't too sour or tart, lots of egg in it. Perfect for an anime con next door. 2) Cappuccino: -I got this no sugar and sugar free and it came out with some pretty latte art. I thought it was mostly ok and boyfriend thought so too, but after several sips and when it was too late since we really had to get to the con, it just became too disgustingly sweet for him and he had to throw it away. 3) Yuzu Fresh Fruit Sparkler: -Yuzu puree with sparkling soda water. -Refreshing and not bad, but even after mixing this was a bit sweeter than what I would have liked and again, in our rush to leave, we couldn't really get this adjusted. I ended up pouring most of it in a water bottle to enjoy later and put in my bag. But ended up not finishing it in the end. Maybe next year I'll try again or just stick to the food stuffs.

When walking, we missed the restaurant initially because this place is clearly, a hidden gem, especially being hidden along the nightclub strip. We were blown away by the curated vibes. From the thoughtful decor to The Office being projected on the wall. It felt hip, fresh and refined. We decided to craft our own drinks - Arnold Palmers, his favorite. But they only had sparkling lemonade, which actually made it even better. We shared a salad that had some cooked pears and squash alongside the greens, walnuts, cranberries and blue cheese. I do feel like the cooked sweet elements overpowered the salad with their sweetness and textures a bit. Wondering if a refreshing pear for crunch or more dressing could have brightened it up and provided a salty, sweet balance. I ordered the Short Ribs with a parsnip purée and roasted carrots and it did not disappoint. Everything paired beautifully together, perfectly salted and cooked. I finished the entire plate. Dad got the Pork Chop and while it was overcooked, he loved the flavors happening in the dish and was pleasantly surprised by the refreshing treatment of the kale. Hey there party People…read more Decided to venture into Willow Glen today on the hunt for something new to try. Boy howdy did we hit the Mother Load with "The Table". We hit the Brunch hour and the place was rocking. We were able to sit right down amazingly. There is a fabulous patio to people watch and enjoy the California weather. Our server Charles was really great. He walked us through the menu giving us the 911 on watch to order. Most of the plates were perfect shareable bites. Making it easy to try multiple plates and really get your inner Foodie on. We started with the Seasonal Banana Pancakes with crushed walnuts and cinnamon maple syrup. Inside the pancakes were fresh bananas and the walnuts were crushed very small but added a great texture. Moving on to the Chicago Steak sandwich don't get confused but in Chicago they refer to Roast Beef as steak. The Au Jus dip was very flavorful without being a salt bomb. Loved the potato roll they used all round a killer sandwich. Going a little outside the box we tried the Jerk Chicken Sandwich. The pineapple slaw with this amazing peppery chutney type sauce played so well with the acid of the pineapple. Another must have sandwich. I ask you how can you go to a new restaurant and not have some dessert. With everything else being so good our expectations were pretty high and we were not disappointed. The Giant Profiterole is exactly that GIANT and stuffed with White Chocolate Gelato and Hot Chocolate Sauce that you can drizzle over the top. To fricken die for good. If you are in Willow Glen and you don't stop here you are missing out on something wonderful. Be kind to one another

The Table was a really big miss for me. The outside of the restaurant was very cute, and the inside…read morehad nice vibes. From the start, the waitstaff was standoffish and not very friendly. When we were seated, we were given a list of items that were not available. I originally wanted to try the pancakes but ended up ordering the chicken sandwich instead. This was genuinely one of the worst chicken sandwiches I have ever had. It was extremely gristly, fatty, and made with dark meat, which felt like an odd choice for a chicken sandwich. I'm not sure why this cut of chicken was used. The fries were alright, but they did not come with the sandwich and cost an additional $5. Our total came to almost $90 for three entrees with no beverages. I was especially frustrated because my sandwich was inedible. For the price and quality, I will not be returning and would not recommend this place.
