What a sweet diner - food was excellent & cooked perfectly ... even down to requested extra crispy bacon. Waitress was super and on top of all our needs. This place is a Warrenton gem.

Visiting Virginia for a few days and this place popped up in my search for breakfast food. VERY glad we stopped in. Clean, good ventilation and fast friendly service. Coffee was fresh and PERFECT. Food was delicious, huge portions, and reasonably priced. Very authentic diner experience. Open 24/7. Cash only. ATM on site.

Chicken fried steak with home fries and onion rings. Blueberry pancakes, bacon, and eggs

Cute, little classic diner. The menu was what you'd expect from a diner, extensive, but this wasn't overwhelming. Prices seemed very reasonable. I was going to try the hot, open-face roast beef, but they were out so I went with the chicken fried steak with home fries and onion rings. Home fries and onion rings were perfect! The chicken fried steak was fine, probably a quick deep fry and like a chopped steak. My wife had the blueberry pancakes, bacon, and eggs. What's funny is I like a thin pancake, so these looked right up my alley, but she tends to prefer the fluffier version.

The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, however; there was a table available so we seated ourselves. Our server came right over with menus and took our drink order. BEWARE: do not order drinks before looking at the menu because breakfast meals come with coffee or hot tea. They give a very meager discount if you do not order coffee or hot tea. Rather than just charge the 50 cent difference they charge for the iced tea. The server was a bit rude but did an ok job. I ordered the "Abigail Special." The food came quickly. The omelet was hot, but the "home fries" were luke warm. The potatoes were not fried, but tasted as if they were baked then cut up into chunks. A bit of catsup helped with the dryness of the potatoes. The omelet tasted great. The sweet tea was good. The table was cluttered with all kinds of items. (see photo) Not sure if we will return.

There are fans and shade on hot, sunny days. Since we didn't talk about the food during the visit, i don't know specifically what they thought of their meals this visit, but they did recommend the restaurant, so, there's that. I ordered a spinach salad and the poppers. I really loved the salad and my husband enjoyed several bites of greens, bacon, egg, and delicious. The server had to tell me that my poppers had "popped" in the fryer and were not serve-able. I remembered grilled cheeses on the menu and asked for one of those--i didn't care which. He described each to me and recommended one... i don't remember the name now, but it was the one with the apple and paired perfectly with my hard cider. My husband got the chick-fil-a sandwich: a patty that was thick, fat, and juicy just like chick-fil-a-- only better (lighter and crispier) and thicker. The veg and sauces were well balanced and complementary; the bread had a slight, pleasant chew without being too heavy. I am looking forward to eating here again.

But by the time we left, the outdoor seating was almost packed, so be safe and make reservations, if you can. The menu is amazing, so many options that all looked appetizing. I can say that everything we got was nicely made and tasted great! Their burger is definitely really good, you can taste the freshness of the locally raised beef. The bun and everything about it was really nicely done. Right now, they have a seasonal starter of pumpkin beignets which we got... they didn't resemble the form, nor texture of any beignets we've ever gotten, but they sure did taste really good! (We did have to wait quite a while for plates from our server so we could share them though) Their onion rings and fries are both amazing. The dip that comes with the onion rings is so very tasty! Sitting outside is beautiful, right on the pond and they have heaters to help take the cool off when it's chilly. We'll definitely return!

The minute we walked in we were seated early and the staff was so friendly and welcoming immediately and the ambiance is very warm and chic. Multiple employees gave us friendly greetings. The Chef's tasting was tastefully prepared and there were some additional items not on the menu. The Japanese milk bread was delicious too! I really loved the rockfish and the Braised short rib. Each course was beautifully presented and the seasoning and flavors were perfectly balanced. We were really impressed. The chef came out to introduce himself and it was nice to be able to compliment him in person. He's been there just over a month, I think, and he is doing a phenomenal job! This is such a welcome experience out west in the south. I highly recommend checking it out. It was about as good as Clarity in Vienna or 2941 in Falls Church. Dress was business casual and definitely a nicer place for more of a date night or special occasion. We wouldn't bring our children here. We were full at the end but not stuffed. Comfortably satisfied in our bellies for sure!

The price point (145/165) is not deserved for what is served. I didn't want to leave a bad review but I didn't want people that actually go to fine dining establishments to waist their money. To be a little more specific on the food, everything was either too salty, disproportioned, frozen(deserts) , stale( bruschetta and the tuna tartar cone) or just not cooked well. I wish this place well, I will not be back. And I just want the young servers to know that their customer service was great, they were very polite and friendly.

I really appreciate the nice furniture which can be an underrated detail at a restaurant. This place is designed to accommodate a quality experience for patrons and does not come across as rushed or prioritizing money over quality or community. As to be expected by the name, I ordered an omelette, and it was very nice. I ordered a plain drip coffee, but was surprised to see that they also have lattes and cappuccinos. I'm looking forward to visiting this place again next time I'm in the area.

OK, I have now tried this place twice. Both orders were "to go"…read more On my first visit, I ordered the club Sandwich with a side of fruit and was given french fries and no fruit. I didn't discover the issue until I left with my food and I didn't have time to go back. The sandwich was good. They didn't ask what kind of bread I wanted, but I asked them my choices and I switched from White to Rye. There were no napkins provided in my go bag. On my second visit, I ordered the chicken and waffles. I checked the bag for my napkin before I drove off. The chicken was delicious. It was well prepared, juicy and very flavorful. The pancakes were good. I do have a problem with food service low level pancake/waffle syrup that is mostly caramel color and high fructose corn syrup. They can give people choices if they want real maple syrup or just pancake syrup. Some people may prefer the pancake syrup. I'm fine with saying we give you one packet of syrup, but you have to pay for additional if they get the good stuff- real maple syrup. The biggest problem is the rookie move of putting freshly fried chicken directly into Styrofoam. Unbeknownst to me, under the chicken was a gaping hole where all of the maple syrup drained into my lap requiring me to drive 40 minutes back home and change clothes. Although the chicken on top was delicious, I avoided the one on the bottom that melted the Styrofoam into it. I really appreciate them cooking my chicken fresh, but thoughts into their takeout container must be considered. I have not eaten inside the restaurant, so I cannot speak about service while dining in. The ambience is OK for a breakfast place but I think it could be so much more. The food is really good here so I think the ambience could step up to match the food. I really want this place to be successful. It's great to have other options for takeout other than the typical fast food restaurants on this part of the road. I'm not sure if I will go back.
