I have been calling Tod for all our AC concerns and maintenance for the last four years. I took a while to write a review because I always have a hard time recommending someone. However, for the past four years, we have received outstanding service and honest work. Tod has been to my house in a couple of instances in which a fuse was blown, or the breaker had popped and charged nothing, even after I insisted on getting him some type of compensation for his time. On the hottest day last week, our AC decided to no longer work. We called our Insurance Co. that we have on our certain appliances and they told us they couldn't come out for 5 days.....??????????? I started surfing the internet for a repair company near us that did "emergency" repairs (usually emergency is only senior homes). I contacted western air through Yelp and I received a response within moments. The reason why I choose western air over others was not only was the service call the cheapest BUT when I asked for an estimate based on the information I provided I was given an honest number. Other companies had very expensive service call prices and would not give me a quote but rather said; "we have to come look first" which makes it very hard to see if the service call is even worth it. Western air came the following day and made the repair quickly. I asked for a call when they were on their way due to the large appointment window so that I could prepare for their visit which was also done. The price was a bit more than was quoted but was very close and reasonable as there were two things wrong with my air. I would highly recommend and would use in the future. Todd has been nothing less then a godsend. My property mgmt company told me they would put in a service order for my AC blowing hot air but couldn't get me an emergency service request for the same day. I had to take matters in my own hands..I called Todd told him my issue and he came out to my house with 45 minutes. He shared the issue. It needed a new capacitor and coil,etc. seems to running well before and after he left since the house was in record temps inside 90*and 120* out. He said it would take a few hours to cool down. A few hours later I realized it's not cooling down. I called him back after hours. He responded. Said it has to be the motor. He said if property management doesn't get back to me he'll come out and replace the motor for free. He offered this because it was so hot and I had already spent $811 out of my own pocket that the property management company affiliated should be taking care of. He ended up coming out putting in new motor.m for free which I greatly appreciated. Only problem is that the motor failed. He offered to come back and replace it hut affiliate ac company with property management came out today. Stated that it looked ok to him and if what he did doesn't work I'll need a new unit entirely. He drove off and ran stopped again . Todd reached back out to ask if he wanted me to come back out and replace the motor again. I told him no as they were putting in a new service order and hoped they would get it today with no avail. Now I'm rethinking my decision. It's record breaking numbers outside and this property management company standards for this customers are for the birds. However, Todd is awesome. He's called me or texted me several times a day to make sure we are ok, is there anything he can do, and does he need me to come out. He provides excellent customer service, stands behind his work, has work ethic and integrity. You can't ask for better service. Give him a call. He will do right by you and not price gouge. My A/C failed during the hottest week of June 2019. I called Todd for a service call and I was WOW'd. He showed up on time, and called ahead to let me know he was on his way. I had called other companies and they tried to sell me new units which Todd said was not necessary. Todd took the time to explain the issues he found with my unit and his prices were very reasonable. Todd answered the phone was very professional and showed up that day within an hour and a half, diagnosed the problem and gave me a fair quote. Also with no pressure or anything to make the sale where as most will do what they can to make the sale. I felt very comfortable dealing with. I called back and he was able to schedule me in very shortly. Showed up on time and was in constant contact. Turns out my unit was a little strange so he wasn't able to fix it, told me he could've tried but didn't want to risk breaking the unit and costing me more money. Appreciated the honesty and straightforwardness. Since he wasn't able to fix it he did not charge me for labor and when I asked if I could buy the parts from him so I had them for the next guy he was super great about it and actually gave me a deal because he felt bad he couldn't fix it. As a privately owned business, I was super impressed. Todd is very personable and honest. My AC unit is on the roof of a second story. Last time I called someone out they wouldn't even go up on the roof! They just told me my unit was old and I needed a new one. Todd not only went up on the roof like any home owner would expect, but took videos of what was happening with the unit before and after the maintenance he did. I called Todd with western air conditioning when my AC went out because he had great reviews on yelp. He said his next availability was in a couple days and I figured that was fine and I would wait for him. He said he would be at my house on Tuesday from 8 to 12. Tuesday came and I waited for him. He didn't show up by 12 and I figured he might just be running behind. At 2 o'clock in the afternoon I decided to call him. He told me he had been running behind and would be there later. I thought that was rude that he wouldn't call and let me know seeing as I was waiting for him all day. Finally at 3:30 he text me he was on his way. I texted him 20 minutes later and said let me know when you get here. He said he had left my house 15 minutes ago because nobody answered the door. He never tried to call me or text me that he was at my house, and I was in the backyard so I didn't hear the door. I texted him and all he said was i texted you. Then he said sorry and I asked if he could come back at another time and he ignored me. I called him and he forwarded my call. Todd is horrible at customer service!
