Came in a few months ago with some friends and ordered soup. The place wasn't busy as usual -- maybe 10-15 customers where there the whole time I was. I've been in countless times and haven't had any bad experience until now. My friends ordered coffee (which is fine by the way) and I waited on my soup for well over an hour while others in behind me in line and customers that came in well after me had been served. Eventually, after asking a few times, my soup was finally delivered. It was cold and the soup itself (even if it were hot) wasn't too great. No apologies or offers to even warm up the soup. Pretty disappointing trip to Frothy and waste of my money -- haven't been back since. read more

Amazing coffee! The turmeric latte is my favorite. Lots of gluten free options! Staff was very nice and helpful.

Waited in line for 30 minutes only to get to the front of the line to learn there is a 30 minute wait for food. They built a big restaurant lots of seating but the smallest kitchen working very slowly. Had to settle with coffee and a muffin. Save your money the banana nut muffin had no flavor, we dry and gross. My friends stayed and got to eat but it took forever and the food was ok. Such a bummer. read more

The only reason why I am giving this place three stars is because the wait time to not only be seated but for our food was a little ridiculous. We were quoted a two hour wait for a restaurant with no seating reservations and there were plenty of seats available. The food took over an hour and a half to come out of the kitchen and once we got our food it was delivered in togo boxes. Our orders were very simple as well, eggs on top of toast, and a bagel. The kitchen staff has no system to completing tickets. Asked for clean plates and they brought over soaking wet plates with some of them having particles of food on them. They informed us that someone will come and talk to us but no one came to talk about our issues. It seems as if their manager does not care to keep the customers happy, poor management skills. The drinks were good and the food was decent. I unfortunately wanted to love this place but I am extremely disappointed. read more

Drinks and food OK, but the gender neutral bathrooms is a deal breaker for me. Won't patronize establishments where I have to use the same toilets as men. Any man can attest, including my husband, that men are pigs is public bathrooms and that men's bathrooms are disgusting... So why bring men into the women's bathroom?? As it happened there was urine all over the seat and all over the floor. I don't understand why they can't separate the bathrooms, one male and one female. It's really not nice. read more

Everything was absolutely perfect. The mocha monkey espresso drink was smooth with a light banana aftertaste. The farm breakfast was tasty- 2 eggs, meat (I got ham), potatoes were exceptional, sourdough bread with the best strawberry jam ever. The Larry sandwich was also phenomenal. Juicy and flavorful roast beef, tangy and wholesome honey mustard. So obviously farm fresh food. I'd love to go back to Nashville just to come back here. I stopped at The Frothy Monkey because it looked so cute from the pictures! And it was, indeed, cute! I ordered the quesadilla with no mushrooms and my boyfriend ordered a sandwich without avocados. They left off the avocados, but in doing so, they left off my guacamole. My food was good, I just felt like it was missing that one thing. And I didn't really feel like I could go back up to the counter to order it on the side. But like I said, the food was great otherwise. I bet I would give it four stars if I had just gotten coffee! read more

Walked in off the street after work with no expectations besides wanting something tasty. The service was great and I was guided through the menu. I chose the Salmon burger and apple upside down cake for dessert. The salmon burger was great. It came with fried red potatoes. The potatoes were average. One star means, "Eek! Me Thinks Not" on Yelp... and that is what I have to say. The review is for the Fatherland location, which is a tiny bakery in East Nashville, but that location is not available to review on Yelp. Here it goes: My boyfriend's sandwich was the salami arugula. It came on 5 inches of baguette, no oil, mayo or pesto. Three pieces of salami, two shaves of parmesan and as he calls it, "some Trader Joe's arugula." "It's gonna be $9." WAIT, WHATTTTT. I should've said, "Hold up, wait a minute, let me get some meat in it" or something along those lines.... but we caved at the "too-busy-for-good-customer-service" scoffs that we just ignored this pathetic sandwich and left. AND! we said thank you and goodbye, and not ONE person(there were 6 working) said anything to us. read more

The waitress was good/friendly, and I ordered the Tortellini. the pasta was way, way, over cooked - the consistency of oatmeal, and the white sauce was very, very thin, clinging to nothing. this would have been a fail at home, but sad at a restaurant. i'd go back to try a sandwich, but that would be the last try. read more

Stopped in here as a last resort because the popular brunch places were too long of a wait. We were able to get in here in pretty short order and wasn't a terribly long wait for food. The lattes were okay. And they kind of have to hunt for you in order to deliver your food/drinks which seems inefficient. But, order the biscuits and gravy and you will not be disappointed! We went for tea and coffee around lunch time and loved the tea, so we asked how they made it. On the menu it had 3 ingredients listed. Turns out it was sugar water with some ginger and thyme in it, when your diabetic this is very bad; especially if your on your second one! Next we went for dinner. Good portion size. The hubby had chicken and Knochi ( no sauce ) and way too much butter but he liked it, I had salmon and quinoa which seemed to be smothered in oil! I told the waiter and he said "thanks for letting me know", that's it. I ate about 1/4 of the dinner and my stomach hurt so bad I was clenching it and having the worst sharp pains. Clearly noticeable! Also we were charged $0.50 for extra mushrooms, there was deff not extra mushrooms on it. My husband got a Jameson and sprite, very very small drink and they charged him $9. The service was aweful all he did was bring us the drink, food, and check. We had to get up and ask someone else for boxes. Food poisoning, extra charges, terrible service, and a lot of anger. I would like for the owner to reach out and explain why this happened and give us a refund. I had very high hopes especially going back over again and reading reviews of this place. read more

Stopped here for a coffee one morning and was impressed the the food menu so also ordered a lunch to go. The latte was perfectly prepared with solid coffee beans. When I had the Turkey and avocado sandwich later I also thought it was very well done. The service was also very quick. Overall this is one of my favorite spots in the area for mornings. read more

First time in Nashville and saw this place as I was walking around my first day. Went for breakfast this morning and honestly was a little disappointed. I checked ratings and they were pretty good. The atmosphere was great and the staff were pleasant. The coffee was good but the half and half pitcher did not pour half and half. Likely low fat milk. The food was cold, and the bacon extremely greasy. Since the bacon was placed over the eggs it made them greasy as well. The food seemed very overpriced for the amount and quality of the food. After all, it is only 2 scrambled eggs, 2 bacon strips and 1 slice of toast with a cup of regular coffee, not worth over $13 with tip. Unfortunately, the entire time I was there the door alarm kept going off and they could not get it to stop although on of the staff stood by it to stop it every time it went off. Staff was very courteous and the coffee was good. The staff informed us upon arrival of a 40-minute wait time for food once our order had been placed. It was the lunch hour, but we only ordered bagel sandwiches so the long wait seemed a little odd and it took almost exactly 40 minutes. You can't get appetizers delivered ahead of the rest of your meal either. Portion sizes are smaller than expected but the food was decent. Not somewhere I would rush back to for a second try. read more
