Had no idea we had froyo in the city, absolutely cried happy tears at the sight so had to fill up!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was a clean store, with lots of frozen yogurt and scooped ice cream flavors to choose from![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Perfect post-zoo dessert date spot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Easy self-service with a nice variety of options in both frozen yogurt and toppings. I personally enjoyed the Strawberry Lemonade mixed with Coconut frozen yogurt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One note is that there is very limited indoor seating, with one table for two inside--but there's ample seating outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cute how they themed the inside with panda wall art to reflect the nearby zoo residents.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Just what this hot day needed!

Fresh out of the Smithsonian National Zoo we stopped by for a cold treat on this beautiful day. Plenty of Frozen Yogurt options and lots of toppings. We decided on a couple of milkshakes. Appreciated the compassion the person working the counter had for some people in need.

Great service and delicious froyo!! We got froyo and a small panda stuffie and we were able to get free caramel/chocolate fudge and whipped cream!!

On the pricier end, their frozen yogurt does taste great with plenty of options and toppings. There are only 2 tables of seating inside, but they do have games of Jenga one can play! Outside, there are four tables to dine at. In terms of flavors, they have plenty of options with non-dairy sorbets as well (Watermelon and Mango) and one of the coolest topping bars with an angled mirror showing all the toppings from above. Its proximity to the Smithsonian Zoo is quite helpful, especially on warm summer days.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great location across from the Zoo.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love the various toppings here. They had two options for sorbet--watermelon and mango. Two ice creams--vanilla and chocolate. Eleven options for frozen yogurt.

    Closed early no idea why

VEGAN REVIEW Always appreciate a fro yo place with vegan options! This one had 3 sorbets. Could use additional vegan toppings besides fruit, but a solid dessert option when you are over by the zoo. Person working was very friendly. Clean space & the toppings bar was well maintained

It's right across from the zoo so it can get incredibly busy in the summer and Zoo Lights.

I've tried other DDL lattes from other coffee shops around the city and this one is by far the best. It's good hot and iced. The seasonal strawberry matcha is also very good. This place is great for the seasonal drinks and gelato flavors using local ingredients. My absolute favorite seasonal flavor is the Blackberries and Cream gelato. I ate it so much last summer that I could see the color of the gelato get darker as the season progressed and as the berries reached their peak. I got a few hand packed pints to keep in the freezer but they didn't last long. The mascarpone & berries is my favorite classic flavor. I've been to every Dolcezza location in DC and my favorite is the DuPont location. The baristas are chill and somehow their drinks taste better than the other locations. Not sure how that's possible but I notice a difference. I think it has something to do with how the drink order is entered at the register. At another location, I noticed my DDL latte was entered as a latte with DDL syrup and it was noticeably off. Not sweet at all. When I asked the barista he said there was no DDL button but at DuPont the drink is perfect every time. I'm not usually focused on nitpicking but if I'm paying $10 for a coffee, I expect the taste to be consistent regardless of location. Back to DuPont. This location has decent seating but definitely isn't appropriate for longer study sessions during busy times. There's a large communal table and bar style seating along the front window that is great for people watching (or construction watching). It's conveniently located, about a 10 minute walk away from the DuPont metro. Is Dolcezza expensive? Yes. Will I continue to use my discretionary income on $10 coffee and gelato. Yes, because it makes me happy and it's an act of self care.

Staff is great and will ask if you want to try and flavors. Gelato is fresh and you can taste the quality. It's almost rich, the taste is definitely better than other local chains. Writing a review to express my immense gratitude to the staff in this store…read more I was idling my car (SUV AWD) in the alley way across the street, right by the Ukrainian Embassy. Totally inexperienced with ice and snow, I thought it would be ok. Ended up getting stuck there - tried hacking at the ice under the tires to get some traction for 30 minutes but still couldn't make it up the hill. Google search said putting some sand / salt / cat litter under the tires could help and I walked into Amorino hoping to get some salt and try that. The 2 staff who were in there were glad to help, I got about 4 cups of salt from them and spread it under the front tires, and was finally freed from my predicament. THANK YOU so much! Definitely will come back and get gelato with my friends when it gets warm.

It's kind of on the edge of the stretch, not the highest foot traffic area, but definitely one of the worst car traffic spots. They have a set of ordering kiosks, and will call you out when they're ready for your order, including the selection of flavors. I got a crepe with gelato; although it said two flavors were included they offered me three small scoops for some reason, which still wasn't a ton. Honestly just getting the basic gelato in a cone with or without a chocolate or a macaron is better. The location has two floors, and you won't hear the honking so much upstairs. Service left something to be desired; I don't begrudge anyone who works for a living but it was not as high-caliber of an experience as I've had at other Amorinos. It also matters that this isn't the best ice cream in DC or even in Georgetown, and we have local gelato as well.
