Above and beyond. My boyfriend and I were driving from Tempe, AZ to Yuma , AZ and had to go through the town of Mauricio's. It was 8:15 at night and we both wanted coffee for the road. We stopped at Bashas and they were closer and sent us to Frys. When we arrived Fry's Starbucks was closing also! Oh no. The lady behind the counter asked what we needed and if she hadn't cleaned it yet she would make it. This woman, Theresa Reeder, went above and beyond customer service and made our drinks with a smile. We were so grateful. I got my tummy warm peppermint mocha and my bf got his iced white mocha. We tried to tip her and she refused! Wouldn't let us! So I am writing this review to let you all know that her small act of patience and kindness made my night and she really knows how to provide great customer service! This store has certainly changed a lot in the past year or so. Not for the better. Ever since the new manager took over, the place is not the same. Very few associates are familiar faces, no one has time to initiate cordial greetings and the place is always a madhouse. There is one associate in seafood, Matt, who is the rudest person I have ever encountered in a retail establishment. He has absolutely no people skills and always seems angry when you ask for assistance. Complaining via their surveys does no good; all I received was the standard, "sorry for your experience, thanks for sharing with us, and we'll pass it on to the store." I have now become a regular at Bashas'. There the associates always have time for you, are happy you are in their store and thank you for coming in. I work hard for my money and enjoy spending it where I am a welcomed guest. read more

So irritated that this is such a small town and the options are SO limited!!! I cannot understand that their deli is SO consistently busy & they NEVER seem to staff enough people!!! There were about 20 people waiting, 1 lady working, cutting a large order of meats, 1 lady was doing EVERYTHING she could to avoid helping people, she was stirring all the side dishes, moving around the trays of chicken, anything but help this huge line! At one point I asked if they were closing because she was removing all of the trays of chicken, she said "no I'm getting if ready for the people who do close." ....what? FINALLY after waiting 20 minutes, and after several people left, a young man came out and helped, he was so apologetic, saying he was in the back and had no idea the line was so long, apologizing that no one came to get him to assist. This kid (Brandon) is top notch!!! I hope Fry's sees what an asset he is to the department and to the store!!!! Having an extensive background in retail management, Brandon demonstrated that the customer comes first....maybe his work ethic will rub off on the lady avoiding her first and most basic job duty. read more

Have always loved shopping here! But this new manager Alan is terrible!!! He was yelling at my wife in front of all the customers and my kids. Had her in tears. At one point he was even shaking his name tag in her face telling her to call in on him!! Never herd or seen anything like this in any store before!! Absolutely crazy! I am certain that The Kroger Company has spent millions, if not billions of dollars on various customers service training programs over it's 135+ years of being in business. However the concept of politely assisting a customer and adhering to the basics of customer service was not apparent in my 8:28 AM, June 27, 2020 interaction with Laura on the Front End at the Fry's Marketplace in Maricopa, Arizona. After handing my grocery totes to the Bagger, Laura stated that the Bagger could not bag the groceries in my totes but that I could bag the groceries myself. Understanding the COVID-19 connection, I stated that I would bag my own groceries, at which the bagger walked away and Laura rolled her eyes. I waited at the credit card terminal until all the groceries had been scanned and completed the transaction. I immediately started to bag the purchased items into the totes which may have taken me three to five minutes to completely pack the 46 item order. While bagging, Laura began repeatedly apologizing to the next customer in line about the delay. Needless to say that my bread and chips arrived home without being crushed or damaged. Granted that it was 8:30AM on a Saturday morning with only two registers and self checkout open; and the store remodel/reset happening but that is not a valid excuse for Laura to disrespectfully eye roll and be condescending towards a valued customer. Respect should be the cornerstone of customer service. It should be the one concept that is emphasized throughout corporate ranks from C level management all the way down to frontline employees like Laura. The Maricopa Fry's Marketplace has once again missed this concept and has permanently lost another customer. read more

This is a mixed review because I really like Frys in general- I grew up in Scottsdale choosing Frys over the other groceries because it never let me down and they go above and beyond to make grocery shopping easy. But this Frys makes my previous experiences feel bad. I almost feel like I'm in Walmart when I come here. The bathrooms are never cleaned properly- and constantly out of service in some way or another. Apparently people are wrecking these bathrooms and someone isn't doing their job. The stalls are always broken, the toilet paper dispensers are broken, and always empty! As well as the sanitary tissue, and paper towels. The store cleanliness follows through out the store- the front aisles are grimy and the lines are terribly long- walked in at 9:00 this evening and the self checkout lines went back into the soda aisles, and 1 cashier was open with a painfully long line. The products are out of stock or damaged, and no one takes the time to toss the spoiled or damaged items on the shelves out. The natural food section has empty shelves every evening. The Starbucks is at a higher quality that the rest of the store should catch on to. I feel sorry for the associates that work here, they obviously are not being treated right and it falls back o the customers. read more

I was a loyal long term frys customer here in Maricopa until April 2 2017. I went in to get 1 item before work. I tripped and fell on an empty end cap display that was not marked with any warnings to catch ones attention. The empty end cap was the same color as the floor. I have a fractured knee and other complications. I was not offered an ambulance by anyone including the store manager but delivered to my suv in the electric cart and then i drove myself to the er. 2 of the 3 witnesses were frys employees and I never got the 3 rd witnesses name. Missing work, medical bills living on credit cards. I called requesting store video to be preserved. I am sure it was destroyed. Frys denied my claim as " I wasent watching where I was going." Frys does not care about their customers clearly. Beware of hazards shoppers when you go to your neighborhood frys out here in Maricopa. read more

Go to Frys and Donnie (great customer service) comes out with everything and done 15 minutes of grocery shopping WOW! Loved it !! Selection of products is good, staff is friendly, prices are reasonable and the store is clean. This should be a five star review, but their their employees use an area near the south entrance as a smoking area. I suspect that there is enough separation between this smoking area and the front door to meet applicable laws, however, the putrid stench of the burning tobacco fills the area where the shopping carts are stored. Customers who choose to use the south entrance have to smell the disgusting odor and are subjected to the health hazards associated with secondhand smoke. Even those who don't obtain a shopping cart still have to endure the nastiness and health risks just by walking through that common area. read more

Ok, I love Fry's because they have great deals. But the management at this location is an absolute joke. It always seems to be understaffed. I waited 30 minutes in the customer service line just to cash in a lottery ticket. The poor girl behind the counter, I think her name is "Star", was extremely friendly and patient while she was the ONLY person behind the counter. Multiple times I saw a manager walk into the little office back there and offer no help. Someone eventually called on the intercom for "Nancy" to help at the customer service desk to which Nancy replied, "on aisle 3". The checkout lines were only 1-2 customers deep. I eventually finished with the customer service line and proceeded to shop. I just got a few items, one being wine for my wife since it is a Friday night. Lo and behold, I end up in Nancy's line. I finally get ready to pay and she refuses to sell me the adult beverages. I have a temporary ID that the DMV the other day (while I wait for my new one to come in the mail) along with my old ID and 7 other forms of identification. The temporary ID states that it is an Official Document and is to be used as regular one. Nancy decided she wanted a power trip and claims, "It's just Arizona, come back when you get your ID in the mail". Sorry Nancy, you have no idea what you are talking about. Next time help out the 16-year-old drowning in customers. read more

The grocery stores in Maricopa are SO subpar, but this one is the "best.". I like that they have natural and organic stuff, but more than once I've seen on the shelf or purchased expired products. Wtf? Can't your employees do their job and check the dates on produce? So gross. I only shop in town when I'm desperate because I can't trust a store that can't even check their shelves often enough to clear out expired products. read more

I have lived in Maricopa for more than 10 years. I always shop at Fry's for their "great prices" and legendary customer service. Today must be full moon. This cashier Angela does not belong at a customer service job. I hardly complain much, but golly, this cashier was throwing my food all over the counter after scanning each item! I tried putting myself in her shoes, but I'm still in disbelief. I noticed that almost all of the registers are open and there aren't any baggers around. The customer before me has been bagging her own stuff, but me, nope! Not today! I'm sick! I just came from a long day at work. I was too sick that my manager told me to stay home tomorrow. I'm surprised that my eggs didn't break and bread didn't get flat! What is wrong with this lady who obviously hates her job. I understand that Fry's tries to make waiting in line shorter, but in return, you get your food thrown around. I didn't even do or say anything to fuel her attitude. I understand that it's not easy dealing with the public. Her job is hard, but I've had better service in Walmart! The design of the counter isn't great either. While I was going around trying to reach my bags and put them in my cart, this Angela even rushes me and tells me that the keypad "is asking another question". I'm doing her job then, she rushes me?! I'm not your friend or family, cashier! Don't feel too comfortable! She gave me my receipt and said, "here you go!" What was that?! Is that her first day?! I couldn't wait to come home to do the survey from the receipt. But on the way to my car, I still felt hurt. I'm a customer, helped Fry's gain more revenue by shopping there, and I get treated poorly just like that! I couldn't help it, so I called and spoke with one of the managers. I'm impress how the manager responded to my complaint. He said he would put her aside and speak with her. He didn't seem surprised by her attitude. I hope she doesn't lose her job if that's her desire to make a living. If not, I wish she better herself so she can find a better job that she can be happy about. PHARMACY is incompetent!!!!! Never have the medications that is needed. Managing pharmacist is only one who does ordering & he does not communicate with staff or other pharmacists to see what is needed. Staff gives inaccurate information. Inaccurate information was given to me NOT ONCE NOT TWICE BUT THREE TIMES!!!!! They stated on a prescription " too early to refill will refill March 4th Thursday 2014." March 4th was a Tuesday. Do you want a pharmacy to fill a prescription that can not even get a date right. I DON'T & I won't EVER again!!!!!!!! read more

I'm not usually the person to provide a bad review but this store is frustrating. I dropped off a prescription at the pharmacist on March 18th at 4:30pm. The pharmacist was friendly at first stating he would be happy to get my pain medication filled for me by the end of the day and to come back in a couple of hours to pick it up. He apologized for such the long wait, and further explained it was a busy day. I understood and didn't argue. I left happy and waited anxiously to get my pain medication for my aching tooth. I came back around 7:30 pm that same day to pick up the medication. When I got there the pharmacist said they were unable to fill my prescription due to them not being able to read the signature of the Doctor on my prescription sheets, and that they needed the name of my doctor to confirm that it was a real prescription. I would have understood if they would have called me a couple of hours before asking for this information and not wait 3 hours later to tell me this. By this time it was too late to call my dentistry office. All the pharmacist said was sorry and oh well. I felt like they didn't want to help me at all. I believe it wasn't that they couldn't read the signature, I believe they forgot about me and use that as an excuse. read more

Don't shop here, we purchased Chobani yogurt and tried to return it because it had a different taste, we were told all yogurt taste like that. When the recall came out I again called Fry's customer service and they told me that the problem was with the manufacturer and not them. read more

The two stars are for the pharmacy. I love the store (it deserves 5 stars), and have a lot of success shopping there. The store staff is wonderful and helpful. I've even got my mother her Christmas present there! Their home section has some great stuff. The pharmacy....well....go to Walgreens. The pharmacy is very inconsistent in getting orders right. Our doctor would call a prescription in, and hours later we'd call with them saying, "oh. We won't have that until tomorrow..." I don't mind waiting, but there is no/little communication from the pharmacy staff. Our most recent visit in picking something up was frustrating. We waited quite a few minutes for someone to even acknowledge us. When they did, I found out I was in the wrong line, and instead of just helping me right then and there (there was no on but me waiting), they referred me to another spot, to wait some more. They're really inconsistent there, it's really frustrating. You'll get your prescription, but it may be a hassle. read more

On April 17, I placed an order for a bouquet to be delivered to my home for my mother, who is visiting from out of state. This order was to be delivered on May 9. May 9th came and went, and no flowers. On May 10th, I called the number provided on my confirmation receipt and was told, "they attempted to deliver and no one was home, so they left a note." We were home ALL day and there was no note left on my door. This was a lie. I was then told, "they're out for delivery," at 9am on May 10th. At 3:30pm I called again and asked about the flowers. Again I was told, "they're out for delivery. They have until 7pm to be delivered." 7PM came and went, still no flowers. For the past 24 years, my father has gifted my mother flowers for their anniversary. Now, on their special 25th anniversary, we have no flowers. I am so disappointed in the way this has been handled. First, I was told they attempted the delivery, and then I was told, "we have had a lot of orders for Mother's Day." For the past two days we have been here so that someone could answer the door for the flowers. Now, I am struggling to get a refund for this. As a regular customer at Fry's, I am truly disgusted that I shop each and every week at this store and have been treated in such a way. I trust that Fry's will eventually make this right, but my trust is fading. I will never order flowers from Fry's again, and I am questioning shopping there as well. read more

If I could leave no stars I would.Deli Department experience not what you should want in your store. I and three other people were standing in line at the deli department to get chicken. The very rude and obviously annoyed person working in the deli ignored us to go and call number that the rarely use to help someone who had just walked up to the counter. Every time I have been to the deli they never call the numbers they simple help the next person. I was standing there for five minutes holding a ten pound bag of dog food waiting patiently for my turn. This store needs to get it together and get all the employees on the same page. That deli clerk made my dinner chose for me I went to another store to get my dinner. I will be shopping someplace else as will my husband. read more

Im waiting in line to pay for my groceries and im next when someone cuts me in line. I tell the the cashier, APRIL KAPP, that i was next in line and im in a bit of a hurry. She said she couldn't help and "YOU PEOPLE" belong in the back of the line anyways. I was shocked. Finally when it was just me I asked to see a manager. The deli at this frys is by far the worst I've ever experienced. The lady waiting on us was so rude,pretty sure she hates her job, never cracked a smile... Our chicken was cold and the tenders were hard and dry. The two sides, mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese were given to us cold. After getting home and heating up our sides it was extremely disappointing that the main course was hard and cold. Never get food from there,what a waste of money. What a disappointment!!! read more
