I found Fudenjuice recently while in Grass Valley. It was scorching outside, and I wasn't feeling great so I thought some fresh, cold juice packed with nutrients could do the trick for me. I asked the folks at Fudenjuice what they recommend, and they setup me up with the Immune Enhancer. They informed me it had raw garlic in it, so I was expecting it to be less than tasty. It turned out to be pretty good as vegetable juices go, with the garlic and ginger adding just a touch of zip and spice to it. I felt better fairly soon after, and found I wasn't hungry for the rest of the afternoon. I'm inspired to do some of my own juicing after visiting. read more

Expensive. Not worth it. Waited forever for the food, which had zero flavor. Asked for 2 iced lattes, one with UNSWEETENED hemp. Got two hot lattes, both with SWEETENED hemp and didn't realize after I drank what was supposed to be the cow milk one that it was hemp when I can't have hemp. Took back the one with hemp and got rude remarks from one of the females working who didn't want to make a new one but finally did. Was told the wraps could be gluten free, then not, then they made the wrap into a salad but wanted to remove the rice without us asking for it to even be removed. Also ordered a mango smoothie and asked for ginger. The entire thing was overpowered by ginger, which wasn't peeled either. My wrap was half cold, half warm. Fiancé enjoyed her expensive salad. More of a juice bar than anything else. Last time my wife and I were there we almost starved before our order was delivered -- and it wasn't at a heavy lunch hour. I came here last summer for the smoothies which are phenomenonal. Every combination with add in shots of bee pollen and wheatgrass. But jus recently ive been coming for the food as well. Most of it is vegan and all ofnit vegetarian. Ive tried stuff with tempeh and other vegetarian meat options and my only advice is TRY SOMETHING NEW! IT will always be good. read more

I love the idea of this place.. And that's about it. I pretty much only go for juice and smoothies (because food is severely lacking in my opinion) ... But I never get out of there in less than 20min (for a drink.. Ridiculous) ... And this past time was inexcusable. I ordered a milkshake..Which came out slightly cool and milk-like. When I brought it back (because clearly I'm unhappy) they "fix" it by adding ice.. Now I've made plenty of milkshakes in my day. And I never add ice. It's ice cream! I couldn't even drink it. I can't believe that's how you're gonna "fix" it. I'm in the industry. I know shit gets fucked up.. It's how you address the situation and what you do to fix it that counts. Okay, so they offer organic vegan food which is great. BUT the flavor is lacking, at best, with dry bagels and no salt seemingly used. The smoothies are watery and the only redeeming quality is the aforementioned vegan and organic. Aside from flavor, they are EXTREMELY inefficient with perhaps the worst customer service in town. First I have to note how many people talk about this being "healthy." This is kind of a moot point, but tortillas and rice really aren't healthy. WIth that said, there are "healthier" options when eating these foods and this place seems to offer them. I decided to stop in for a bite to eat this summer. I had been wanting to go and it just didn't work out that anybody could go with me. So eventually I caved and went alone. Let me first say, don't go alone! It's SO much food. I couldn't finish it. I got the greek wrap and it was gigantic. I had a hard time even eating half of it and then I had to throw the rest out because I wasn't going home for many hours and rice really shouldn't be left out at all. It was tasty though. I enjoyed it and the variety on the menu is awesome. The only reasons I'm even deducting a star is because I found the guys working there to be kind of rude. I was sort of made to feel like I didn't belong there I guess. And granted, I don't look the part (hemp clothing and dreads), but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy food that is made from local/clean ingredients. I wouldn't have really noticed, except the girl that was behind me (who did look the part) got a very different vibe from them. The other reason was already mentioned. Too much rice. I understand that the rice is the cheapest item in the wrap, but I'd rather pay an extra dollar and half half the rice but more artichokes or something. It was a bit overwhelming. I had to knock a bit of it out to really enjoy the other tastes. Despite my two issues, I recommend this place to anybody. It doesn't have that typical taste that you get at a lot of vegan places. A taste that I like, but I know a lot of my meat eating friends seem put off by it. You can happily take anybody here and I feel confident they'd find something like liked. First, this place sustains life in Nevada City. Chuck and Robert (the owners) do an awesome job making the best food in the world! They have so much to choose from, use local and fresh ingredients from UNFI and other sources. I've never written a review except for the LA parking nazis, but this place is so awesome it deserves a serious guide and shout out to the would be flatlander passer-by. That and I'm sitting here, miles away, thinking about how much I miss their awesome food... so here you go: 1) Smoothies - ammmmmmmazing deal! They put so much fruit in them I honestly don't think I can make things like the Razz-n-Blue, the tropical sunrise, the blueberry C monster, or the hangover helper (seriously saved me a few times!). 2) Shakes - Dairyless Date and Bugs' Favorite. Nuff said 3) Healthiest - Kichari (mung beans, rice, spinach, carrots and lots of other stuff)- It's amazing. Considered the most complete food by Ayurvedic practitioners, this dish has some cancer mitigating herbs in it (Asophetida (sp?) and mustard seed), and It tastes amazing. I've tried to make this type of dish before and nothing compares to how good theirs tastes. Try with and egg or avocado on top and add Braggs. 4) Healthier - The salads are amazing. All of them. 5) Best damn quesedilla you will ever have. I don't know why I said damn, but DAMN! They make a literally the BEST quesedilla I've ever had! Avacdo, rice, beans, tons of cheese, and all in a spinach tortilla. Soooo good. Order the mini unless you've been working outside all day and could eat a 3 pounds worth of food. 6) Wraps and soup - The Greek is my favorite with amazing wild rice miso soup. 7) Bowls - Happy Fun - what can't be good about that? 8) Adventuresome - PB BAP - They've sold probably 12 of these ever. I've ordered 2 and I know who ordered the other 10. They're really good despite the ingredient combo, but be prepared to run a marathon with the energy you'll have after. Final Tip: Everything is seriously amazing. Order mini size if you're by yourself. Final Note: This place would have all 5 starts from everyone in Nevada County if it weren't for fast food loving bitchy people (Patrice G). It's not a hippieville, and numerous folks have business meetings here during the day. Their clientele ranges everything from hippie to professional business person. Hmmmm, sounds exactly like the demographics of Nevada County. What they do have in common is that they are all very healthy and appreciate amazing food with quantities that meet any budget, so if you feel intimidated then don't. you're in for a real treat. Sit on the patio and enjoy the beautiful mural and waterfall instead of judging the clientele (this is Yelp, so everyone does. I will too in a moment ;) ). On a side note, to the bitchy lady that complained about Minnow to the State Health Agency - Go to Carmel where dogs are all over the place on the patio. Minnow is a staple at this place, a mascot if you will, and now she's not there any more. People like you should do us all a favor and lock yourselves in a fast food restaurant in Valencia and never leave (the more mild mannered of my suggestions....) Also, they support the local community by employing local teenagers instead of... well... other folks. It's so important for teenagers to have work, and we're outsourcing all of our lower paying work to folks who don't even speak the language. I'm not racist, but you'll notice the difference. Check out the atmosphere when you're in here and you're sure to appreciate what they're doing for the community in so many ways (they also work with Divine Spark). They've created a space where preparing nourishing food for people is an honorable and desirable job, and there aren't many places that can say that. So, there you go. Enjoy! read more

Great find! Tons of choices of different juices and smoothies, as well as some food items. I was looking for a place to grab a healthy smoothie and definitely found it here. The deduction in one star is because the wait was abnormally long considering there weren't many people waiting and I believe wait time is important because this particular venue is outside with no shelter if it is raining or cold. This is my new favorite restaurant and I am so sad that I live 6 hours away. I was completely overwhelmed by the menu when I walked up to the window of this quaint, little place. I had tacos made with a thick pesto sauce, which I was leery about, as who has ever heard of Taco's with Pesto? The pesto was so incredible, I wanted to lick the plate. Also, I feel that I have a fairly refined palate and I found myself tasting the salad dressing like a forensics investigator. I still have no idea what was in their "green goddess" dressing but I'm guessing something from another planet??? I love, love, love this place and cannot wait to return. There is a hippie vibe to the place, and the people were fairly friendly, though I wouldn't necessarily say it was a warm environment. There is outdoor seating and a little space inside.
