Not my kind of place. Looks pretty beat and not well kept. I certainly wouldn't think twice about stopping if I were driving by. HOWEVER, my girl said it was good and she has an impeccable record. Let's give this place a shot, shall we? We dismount from the bicycles and are immediately subjugated to an unpleasant smell from one of the patrons ordering outside. There are some strange clientele. Do not be dissuaded though, it's part of the experience. Approaching the outside order window we scramble to decide what we want from the extensive menu of organic dishes, juices, and smoothies. I cave under the pressure and order what my girl suggested; Middle Eastern burrito with Green Goddess tahini dressing, falafels, and hummus. As well as a Green Monster smoothie which includes all sorts of delicious fruits. I take a sip of the smoothie... mmmmm! I gnaw on the burrito... hnnggggg! This place is legitimate. Fudenjuce may not look like much but the food that comes out of it is really fresh and really delicious. So good I wanted to go back the next day despite staying nowhere near it. I got a wrap that was super tasty and that garlic hot sauce they have on the tables is yum too! The only downside is that they really only have outdoor seating so on a super hot day it's a little uncomfortable to stay and eat. They do have misters by the window where you order/pick up your food, but they don't help much when you're seated. read more

I'll start by saying the food is wonderful and so are the shakes. I have absolutely no complaints about the quality of the ingredients. So why three stars? I called ahead to place my order since I was on a lunch break. They told me 15 minutes, but I gave them 25 to be safe. I got there 25 minutes later and my food hadn't even been started, nor had my smoothies been made. There was one other person there waiting for food, and four people in the kitchen. When I paid for my order the cashier was extremely rude and clearly didn't care about customer service. I had asked her how long my food would take since I was on lunch, and she replied "when it's ready". But, I gave her the benefit of the doubt, everybody has bad days. After I paid for my order, the total seemed off to me. I was charged for two 24 ounce smoothies instead of two 16oz. When I informed her I was charged the wrong amount, I was told they can't do refunds. Needless to say, I loved my food and smoothies and will give this place one more chance. But if the service is just as bad this next time around, especially when they aren't busy. I will not go again. read more

I've been hiking and visiting the Yuba River, Grass Valley, and Nevada City for years. Never knew about this place.We found it on yelp and decided to try it out. It's in a location that I would never guessed. Thanks Yelpers! When we got here I was surprised. It's a whole in the ground. I almost was going to leave and eat in town. Don't let the small shack deceive you. They put all the investment and effort into the food. They serve some of the best organic vegetarian options I have ever had. In particular the Vegan soups and wraps. This is easily the best healthy food place in the area. They also keep the place pretty clean. Excellent earth friendly food! I recently decided to turn vegetarian, and happened upon this place. My very non vegetarian family in a supportive bid joined me here. The kid who's used to in-n-out's reluctantly got the soy burger. The husband went for a spinach tortilla Cali wrap. I got the loaded falafel and hummus middle eastern wrap. We also ordered juices - the lime and lemon, beet and ginger, carrot and orange. Everything was simply fantastic! So fresh, tasty, my mouth was bursting with a garden of flavors. Husband was mostly satisfied but he's not a complainer. I tried his wrap, and felt it needed some salt, but again, it was fresh and flavorful too. We had a slice of the banana bread and I can't believe that it was vegan?! So yummy!! The biggest hallelujah was Ofcourse, when the son wiped off the burger. He even muttered that he enjoyed it and didn't need to harm an animal. Proud parent, here! Thank you, fudenjuce. Your recipes made our stomach full and our heart sing! I can't express to you how much I love this place. The peanut butter ecstasy smoothie makes me feel so good. Almost as good as actual ecstasy because it is so gash darn delicious. The food and smoothies are solid. This review is directed directly towards the owner. Let me start by stating I've been coming here for 10 years and still do. A few months ago I left a new rv across the street over night and when I came to pick it up, the owner came running across the street yelling at me for taking up a couple spaces on the street. First of all, I'm a semi regular customer... second of all just because you have a trailer that's turned into a restaurant does not make you the regulator and owner of the street. I also feel that some of your employees have a Headier then thou complex and for sure judges some of your customers which makes your website fairly laughable. I stopped in as I was driving through Nevada City. I found that there were quite a few healthy/vegan eatery options around, but I figured Fudenjuce would be the quickest. I ordered a greek wrap and a falafel plate and both were ready in about 10 minutes. The greek wrap was huge. I am really glad I split it, because I wasn't even able to finish half of it. It was filled with rice (lots of rice), artichoke hearts, olives, spinach, and avocado. There were a couple of tortilla choices, I had the garlicky one and it was really flavorful. The wrap was served grilled and hot. While the ingredients were all really yummy, it was just too heavy on the rice. It was at least 2/3 filled with white rice. My boyfriend agreed that although the wrap was tasty, the amount of rice in it was excessive. The falafel plate was really good and included a surprising quantity of food. It comes with one piece of falafel, but it's about the size of a really puffy veggie burger. The falafel was pretty dense, but good. It didn't seem too oily, so I would guess it wasn't deep fried. It came with carrot sticks and a choice of dressing. Overall, the food was really good, but could definitely be improved with more reasonable portion sizes and a better rice-to-other-filling wrap ratio. read more

I waited 40 minutes for a benevolent burger. My partner received her food in under 20 minutes so by 30 minutes i went up to the window and asked about my order. When i told them the name of the order the girl at the window looked for it then came back and said that "they are working on it now, sorry for the wait, we're a little backed up." Ok sure i understand but why did my partner receive her meal 10 minutes ago? And i had already heard a woman return to the counter to complain that she had seen others receive their food before her when she ordered first so i had to wonder.. After 40 minutes i had to assume that my meal had not been started when it should have, there is no reason that a burger should take 40 minutes when my partners tacos took only half of that time. My partner was done with her meal and since we had a long drive home i was ready to leave so i went up to the window and asked for my money back. The girl at the window said something like "oh are you sure? Its like done right now" as she looks back at the burger on the grill. I told her i had to leave and she apologized and gave me my money back. I really wish that instead of saying "theyre working on it now" they wouldve just been honest and told me that they hadnt even started my order yet so i didnt have to sit there wondering what in gods name is taking them so long.
