Ate here for the first time after someone recommended it to my husband and I. We got chili cheese fries & tots , a patty melt , and a cowtown burger, it was delicious. We were very impressed 10/10. We also got desert the cheese cake and key lime pie, both good but the cheese cake was great ! Will definitely be back lots more in the future. The bun on the burgers alone is enough of a reason to eat here, but if that doesn't do it for you, the cheese corona and burger varieties will. A great hole-in-wall restaurant that I would have overlooked except for the numerous reviews praising the food and service. On my first visit I got the special burger of the day. It was perfect melding of flavors without being overly spicy. A few weeks later I came back for the seared tuna sandwich. The tuna was cooked to absolute perfection. The jalapeño mayonnaise added zing without being too hot. On both visits, the owner was attentive and gracious. You could tell that he loves pleasing his customers. The food is excellent, and before the recent price hike was above average in value compared to similar establishments. The food is still great, but at nearly double the price, the value is pretty far below average in Fort Worth. The same cheeseburger that was $7 before is now $12+. Add some fries, a drink, and ranch dressing for dipping, and your lunch will now push $30. I loved this place, but am driven to better values. I'm worried the price hike might kill the business. 5 stars for the food, 1 star for the value. 3 stars would have been the middle, but I felt it fair to give the food quality more rating weight than the low value. I'll check the online menu from time to time, to see if there is a retraction or significant reduction in prices, but if that doesn't happen, I will miss the old (decent value) Fuego Burger. read more

Let's do this!!!! Ok. The results are in... I was Underwhelmed. I waited all morning to go. I finally arrived at 12:30. Peak time. The place was packed. I asked for the American Cheeseburger. All the way. MUSTARD on both sides. Please. Add fries $2.00. To go. I waited for a while (maybe 10 min?). I got the box home and was disappointed like I didn't want to be. The bun was thick and sticky. MAYONNAISE was on both sides. The fries were not $2.00 fries. They were maybe a free side size. And poisoned with Lawery's seasoned salt . I finished what I could and threw it away. I look forward to my next burger trip to Kinkaid's on Camp Bowie. I am sooooo glad my wife wasn't with me. She wld have beat me up with my own stick. Ordered Togo during Covid. They came to my car to deliver and were super friendly. I got home to realize I was missing my Fuego burger. I called them to let them know and they are making me one and driving it out here! I'm 15 minutes from the place and it's their lunch rush! Fu-e-go Bur-ger deserve s a jingle...as well as a better location. Still, if you are into volcano-sized burgers oozing a lava-flow of bacon and cheese, you've come to the right place. If that's not your thing, try the Bacon Bleu Cheese with carmalized onions and mushrooms. Both great, big, half-pound burgers. Still, I can't give it the extra star, because despite the wide array of varying opinions, I just think they are good not great. Personally, we prefer think sliced crispy bacon and slightly less greasy burger patties. This bacon has the limp texture of ham or pork belly and the burgers are practically drenching the bunch with burger fat. If they could ease back on both those points and keep the price point down, I would eat there more. I think two burgers and one order of plain tots and two sodas was right at $30 before tip. I mean, I am shocked that's a single dollar mark on their Facebook page on the scale of 1-4 now. (Note: Yelp posts it as $$.)
