Food was decent. We ordered the surf and turf burrito and the surf and turf fries. The burrito lacked flavor. No fuss place. Small and quaint. Cashier was friendly. It's not a five star place for me. It's a normal local taco spot with decent pricing. I will not return.

I finally decided to try this restaurant after seeing the reviews. The restaurant is small but, clean and the cashier was really friendly. I ordered the Birria plate which comes with beans, rice, 3 corn tortillas, onion and cilantro plus the consome. My son ordered 2 Birria tacos with a side of consome. The beef was tender and had great flavor. The portion is also generous and the beans and rice were also delicious. Their Agua frescas were perfect and refreshing. I absolutely recommend you check them out.

Rene, the charismatic staff member who greeted me, guided me toward the Surf and Turf Fries--"one of our most popular dishes," he promised. I took the bait, and I'm glad I did. What arrived was a feast of contrasts and comfort: perfectly crisp fries buried beneath tender, char-grilled asada and crowned with plump, garlic-kissed shrimp. A verdant drizzle of creamy green salsa and a generous layer of melted cheese tied it all together into a bold, unapologetic bite of coastal street food indulgence. To wash it down? A large cup of Jamaica, refreshingly tart and vibrant, cutting through the richness like a breeze on a summer day. This is the kind of place you come back to--not just for the food, but for the soul it serves. Next visit, I have my sights set on the birria. If the fries are any indication, I'm in for something special.

I was looking for a breakfast place in Covina and checked Yelp, decided to give them a try. My son and I came in on a Saturday around 11am. There was only one table taken, very clean and you can either order on a tablet or at the counter. The lady who took out order was friendly and explained her most popular items. We choose the birria quesadilla with a small consomé, chilaquiles verdes con huevo, agua de horchata and an agua mitad de pepino y mitad piña as as she recommended. The service was fast, food taste fresh. The chilaquiles were too soggy for my liking. I prefer crunchy tortilla chips, the salsa was ok- not spicy and the egg wasn't scrambled as I asked for. Rice and beans were good. The birria quesadillas was decent, nothing out of this world. The horchata was not good, it tasted powdery - it kind of tasted like a gelatina. The agua de pepino mix was good. Refreshing and not too sweet. I don't think I would be coming back here. I wasn't very impressed.

I just found this place and I'm glad I did. The quesabirria tacos at Fuego Cravings Covina were really good -- crispy on the outside, cheesy, and packed with flavorful meat. Have been coming here for 1-2 years and usually always get the fuego fries with birria & a birria burrito ! Wasn't able to write a review yet because every time we go we pig out because it's so good! Fuego fries come with cheese and jalepeños, and your side of meat. 10/10 hits the spot for something snackish but also fills you up!

I feel bad abt writing this because Milady was suuuupeer great but unfortunately I usually write about the food so I can rememeber the places we'll go back to or not.. so here it is... We ordered: 1. Street taco plate (pick 3 meats) which consists of: A. Rice = undercooked and overcooked at the same time. Some were hard and some were super soft... tasted good but cook was inconsistent B. Beans = hubby liked it. Balanced taste and cooked well C. Chips = crunchy and fresh. Seasoned inconsistently but still good D. Chicken tacos = i liked it. Nothing extraordinary. Seasoned okay with hint of lemon, cooked evenly throughout. E. Al pastor = cooked evenly but lacked the usual pineapple taste / sweet taste. Decent. F. Asada = bland and tough. You'll see in the pic how it's pale looking.. 2. Shrimp tacos = hubby didn't like it.. I liked it coz it was salty and the sauce made it a bit sweet then fresh coz of cabbage. It was decent. 3. Birria in tostada = hubby was disappointed coz he said that birria is usually a bit red/orange and never bland.. the birria was pale and bland like boiled meat... I've read a bunch of reviews abt how great this place is, so hopefully today was just an off day.. but again, thank you Milady, ure so awesome!

I was looking for a place to meet up with my friend that was visiting her brother in Covina and saw that Fuego was pretty close to her. First thing that caught my eye when I walked in was the aguas frescas. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. I ordered quesa birria tacos, my daughter ordered birria ramen and my friend ordered a mulita de birria. The birria was so good, it had so much flavor. I got an agua de horchata and the size of the mason jar was pretty big. The guy at the counter was super friendly and kept asking if we were doing ok. The place has a few tables and they had the tv on playing a movie. I will be back to try the rest of the food on the menu. Hidden gem for sure.

Fuego!!! I love the surf and turf tacos. I also tried the quesabirria, birria taco, fish taco, surf and turf burrito, and Covina burrito. They were alright. My whole party agreed that the surf and turf tacos are the best. We are honestly not really birria fans but it seems that a lot of people like it and it's clearly popular here. Service was great. I got a few cups of water and borrowed a bottle of salsa. The place is nice and clean. The complex is not busy and the restaurant was not crowded, although I came around 8:00 PM on a Thursday and around 2:00 PM on a Friday so that may be different on a Friday or Saturday around 7 PM. My critiques would be: the "sour cream sauce" and "guacamole sauce" are a bit watery, and the Covina burrito had too much rice and beans. But the surf and turf tacos make up for that. I'd come back just for the surf and turf tacos. The prices and portions are good for me, especially compared to where I'm from - the San Francisco bay area.

I've been seeing this place on DoorDash and had it bookmarked for a while. I finally decided to give it a shot, but I don't understand the raving reviews? We ordered 2 green chilaquiles bowls (one w/ asada and the other w/ pastor) and the surf & turf fries - to go. The chilaquiles were soggy and flavorless. The description for the surf & turf fries stated that they were "crispy" and "seasoned." However, they fries were plain, soft and bland; no crisp whatsoever. Overall, after spending $45, we were super disappointed.

i eat birria like once a year because i crave so much and then become sooo full of it lol usually always order the birria taco with cheese but why not go big! with the birria pizza -- comes with 2 consume and packed with flavor. honestly rly good proportions of protein and cheese and the soup always yommy i can drink on its own ~ also the staff here is very friendly and helpful :-)

We were craving some birria and found this place with great reviews. We came in at around 5-6PM on a weekend on found it pretty empty, but was kindly introduced and told how to order with the wait staff. We got a total of 9 birria tacos with some consome along with a horchata drink to wash it all down. I personally mainly enjoyed the horchata, it was nicely sweetened without being overly powering and was a pleasure the drinks. The birria tacos to me were a bit dry (making the consome a must buy if you are ganna try these), and felt a bit smaller than I would expect for 5$ a taco, but otherwise they were a decent snack. Definitely loved the consome tho so would be interested in trying their other options like their ramen. Otherwise, was a nice small homey feel with decent food.

Came here on a hunch due to majority of so-called Mexican restaurants being so bad around the San Gabriel Valley. I ordered a Classic Burrito with Carne Asada. My nephew ordered some birria. Both lacked flavor, with a huge burst of salt. Not even the salsa and lemon helped. Atmosphere was calm. 2 star rating; second star is for the decent service. Will definitely not be back for lack of food quality. I truly don't understand how this place has a "4.6" rating. read more

we were craving birria tacos and so we decided to give this place a try since they supposedly have the best birria in town. we ordered the queso birria tacos and the enchilada which also contained birria and asada. they're most well known for their birria so we also got a birria quesadilla. all the items we tried were really flavorful and the meat was tender and juicy. we had to order the consommé too to go with our tacos. the prices are reasonable and it didn't take too long. they designed the interior nicely when we went near halloween time. i'll probably be coming again for the birria as it really hit the spot and satisfied our cravings. read more

There is lots of parking for this location, and right off Azusa Avenue! You must try any of their food here! Everything looks so wet and juicy when it comes out, you can tell they use fresh ingredients, nothing dry. And they are very generous, their items are really big and I usually only eat half and take the rest home. The service is really nice, polite, and a, it wasn't busy when I came on a Tuesday. read more

Just moved into town and saw this place while taking a trip to DD's! I love birra and ramen so honestly this place was a huge blessing. I mainly go there for the Birra Ramen, and its worth it. $12.99 (or about that price) for good birra and broth. They give you plenty of birra too! They do use foam containers so it isn't microwave friendly for leftovers in case you are like me and can't eat much in one sitting. And just a note that they do put everything together so it is best to eat ASAP if you get takeout, since the ramen will get soggy after a while. 10/10 recommend. Go try it! read more

The food was delicious! First time we ordered from here and we got the birria ramen, quesabirria and sopes (carnitas and al pastor). The overall flavor was good, and well seasoned. Customer service was excellent place my order over the phone and when I got there everything was ready to go. The food is outstanding !!! We work is a auto shop so getting good and fast service is key. We come here at least 2 times a week. I recommend the birria nachos they are fire and the el Diablo torta. customer service: great. lady at the counter was helpful and nice birria tacos: good serving of meat! consome: clean. and delish. not oily. i can drink this straight! quesabirra: good amount if cheese. kinda surprised and not crazy oozing out of taco enchiladas: good nothing special pineapple agua fresca is good they allow you to mix horchata and strawberry! esquite: not as spicy as i would like but i put their red sauce in it and it did the trick the green sauce good w the meals too chips n salsa order: need more salsa! i had left over chips! read more

We decided to try this place because of the reviews. We were craving tacos. When we arrived there was no one there to greet us. After a few minutes of us looking at the menu finally a lady comes out and takes our order. I ordered an asada taco, a fuego mulita (birria) but didn't come with consome and u need to buy it seperate. Also ordered a fuego torta and some asada nachos. I got the mulita 1st when she brought it to the table which was the same lady that took our order as she placed it at our table she advised that the utensils where on the counter and I would need to get them. Which wasn't a problem we could get them. Then she brought the carne asada taco I wanted to start with that one so I tried a peace if meat because it looked very pained as if it was not asada instead it looked like it was stir fried and when I did the meat was cold! That was a total disappointment. I put it on the side and then 5 minutes later or so the torta comes out. So we start eating the mulita taste decent,and my husband says the same about his burnt Milanesa torta. As we are 1/2 way done the nachos still haven't arrived so I got up and took the cashier/ server the asada taco back and tell her the meat is cold and bland so we want to change the meat on the nachos to birria. I don't get an apology at all! I go back to the table and finish my mulita and still no nachos! The taco I took back was changed to a birria taco and that came to the table and I start to eat it and share it with my husband. We finish the taco and the nachos aren't ready still. Finally when they arrive we got these soggy nachos with this white sauce that was super runny and some watered down green sauce and along with the nacho cheese! They were so nasty we seriously had only the chips that weren't sauggy and threw the rest away. I am not sure why people Talk so positive about this place but save yourself some money and bad customer service experience and instead go elsewhere! read more

I didn't love it the girl could not speak English at all. We couldn't communicate about anything as it was totally not happening. You can't serve customers in America without being able to ask for certain things. She brought me items that I didn't want. There is no interaction between the business due to kiosk. My surf and turf taco wasn't authentic at all very Americanized but huge and expensive but meat rubbery. The birria ramen was full of meat but No flavor or seasoning. Definitely not the best in town as advertised. The beverages were good. I don't get the good reviews but they got my $$$$ once. read more

Then came the best part of the entire meal - my hazelnut latte. The coffee was good and the cup is gigantic. My teen had the french toast, eggs (scrambled), and bacon plate. The one slice of french toast was okay but nothing special. The eggs were bland and lacking any seasoning including salt and pepper. The bacon, of which I got a side for myself, too, was absolutely disgusting. I also got a side of the breakfast (rosemary) potatoes, which I also ordered crispy and well done but arrived as a scoop of mush. They tasted okay but I saw crispy potatoes at numerous other tables. Don't know why they couldn't cook as ordered. I also had the dutch baby. I'm sorry but this is a dessert bread pudding and not a real dutch baby pancake. The inside should be airy and fluffy, not sopping wet. I'm not sure if the inside was undercooked and possibly raw dough or if they make it with some sweetened cream inside. It was not good, and it was way too sweet. Instant diabetes sweet. I will never go back. I strongly recommend that all people stay as far away as possible. The service was good - friendly and attentive, but what good is that when the food is so awful? I also had severe stabbing pains in my stomach for a couple hours after getting home. Avoid at all costs!

We had an amazing experience at Fuego Cravings--this place truly lives up to the hype! The street tacos were perfectly seasoned, loaded with flavor, and served on soft, warm tortillas that hit just right. The quesadilla de birria was next-level--oozing with cheese, packed with juicy birria, and paired with a rich consomé that had us dipping until the last bite. And don't even get me started on the torta de milanesa... crispy, tender, and stacked with all the right toppings. Every bite was a flavor bomb. But the real surprise? The aguas frescas. I can't say enough good things about Fuego Cravings! This place is a hidden gem for anyone who loves bold, flavorful tacos. I tried their Hot Cheeto Fuego Taco, and wow, iit was a game changer! The crunch and spice from the Hot Cheetos paired perfectly with the fresh, savory fillings. I also had the quesabirria, shrimp taco, and a street taco, and each one was absolutely delicious. The flavors were on point, and you can tell they use fresh, quality ingredients. The food made my Saturday afternoon so much better! Thank you, Fuego Cravings, for such an amazing meal. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend this spot for taco lovers! read more

We were really eager to give this place a shot after seeing all the positive Yelp reviews and tempting photos. However, we were a bit let down when we ordered the Covina burrito and received a surf and turf burrito instead. Despite being labeled as Covina, it contained shrimp and beef, which was definitely not what we expected. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark for us. On a brighter note, we did enjoy the fish taco. So, we're unsure if we'll give this place another try. read more

My coworker recommended this place that just opened they all have been going there apparently except me. I totally loved it they literally have the best Birria and I think it's the best tasting quick Mexican food I've ever tried in years! The service was excellent the guys were super nice there and fast! I got the Quesabirrias and the surf and turf burrito (biggest burrito ever) everything was delicious and great ambiance as well. The food and the service was fast I loved it I had ordered a ramen birria spicy and it was way too spicy for my taste so I asked Adrian in the front if I can get one that wasn't spicy and they gladly swapped it out for me amazing customer service!!! Definitely recommend read more
