Following my friend's suggestion, I came by earlier to try and catch their fresh beef curry around 11:30. Their small parking lot was already full so we parked in front of the store temporarily. The inside of the small store was also bustling with patrons. Everything smelled so good and watching them assemble the fruit cake was such a treat! We decided not to eat outside the store and went to the park in the back so by then the beef curry bread and bacon cheddar braid had cooled significantly. The cheddar cheese was so crispy and contrasted with the soft bread and bacon. The beef curry filling is just simply ground beef (no potatos which was a slight let down for my partner). The azuki Malasada was very very sweet (due to the sugar coating) and since it's such a thin layer of sweet red bean I couldn't taste it much other than the sugar. Definitely would come back again just for the ube malasada, once again our favorite! read more

I've been to Fuji Bakery a couple of times but I failed to find an item I really liked in my previous visits. This time, I found some I enjoyed. I had the matcha custard malasada and milk stick and both were great! The malasada had a nice amount of custard inside and was not too sweet. I'd definitely come back for the malasada. I also enjoyed the combination of sweet butter cream and the chewy bread of the milk stick. I also bought the cream puff which I've yet to devour. Looking forward to it! People working there were nice and seemed immune to morning grumpiness. I'm not so great at waking up early but I went in before 8am on a weekday and took a little too long to decide on what to buy, but the staff was patient and friendly. Mehhhh is review ! Heard through the online chatter this place was amazing, well I've had better. First off parking is a near death experience death challenge. Most parking is on street with cars cruising by so fast I'd be a bug smashed to a windshield if one hit me was the first issue. Second the treats didn't live up to hype. I saw this bakery on a YouTube channel I was watching and made this a stop. This was a perfect bakery to stop in after a 5 mile walk at centennial park. For me, no trip to Seattle is complete without a trip to Fuji Bakery. I'm incredibly envious of the locals who get to indulge on the sugary treats and the endless carbs that this place is known for. The variety is excellent, the vibe is extra chill and incredibly local. I would kill for something like this in my neck of the woods. Seating is is limited to a couple of two seaters outside, but that's really it. Parking is also a small lot to the side of the building, and my last two visits have been on the street along Elliot Ave. The latter is not generally recommended, but doable in a pinch. Their ube and matcha malasadas are excellent. The breading is light and the ube filling is perfect. Their danishes may look ordinary, but they're delightful and indulgent. The variety of croissants are impressive, but the butter and almond croissants stand out for their simplicity and addictive qualities. It might sound dramatic, but the sandos are so good that I'd come back just for those. The egg salad sando is an instant foodgasm and the chicken katsu is superb. The price is reflective of the quality (i.e. a tinge expensive) of the pastries and the staff is fairly good about recommendations and are quite good about moving the line along. Came here today since it was a bit closer than their CID location to where I was this morning. Their lilikoi was so so good! Had to get their creamy crunchy malasada again (i get it every time) and overall, it was amazing how they are able to hit the spot so consistently. Keep it up! Great service and efficient checkout process. Store has no seating space but that's fine, how good the food is makes up for it. Love Fuji to death! Fuji Bakery is an absolute gem! During peak times, you can see their parking lot and street spots are completely full, with a line coming out the door. They serve fresh, delicious pastries. Nothing I've gotten has disappointed me yet! I've tried the Japanese cheesecake, chocolate croissant, and blueberry danish. The blueberry danish wasn't bad, I tried it the day after I bought so that was probably on me. Flavors were bright and lemony, just wasn't my favorite. The chocolate croissant on the other hand was so good! Incredibly flaky, buttery, and filled with tons of chocolate. It tastes nutty like a ferrero Rocher in a croissant. Pretty decently sized too, I was stuffed after eating it. The Japanese cheesecake was a fan favorite for my boyfriend and I. Soft, creamy, melt-in-your mouth cheesecake covered in a delicious fruity glaze. If I remember correctly, it was apricot. The perfect blend of sweet and satisfying, yet light and refreshing. We sampled one of each Malasada - Crunchy Cream - Ube - Lilikoi (passion fruit) - Matcha - Strawberry The fillings were light and fresh tasting. They had a good amount of filling as well. I wish they had other options besides sugar tossed malasada's. I enjoy mine powdered or plain, which is probably why the crunchy cream was my most liked of them all. The beef curry had a slightly intense curry flavor. Borderline too intense for some, but for me it was quite enjoyable. I wasn't a fan of their hot dog bread. Maybe because there wasn't much hot dog. If it's going to be a hot dog themed baked good, I want hot dog in every bite please lol. I would definitely like to come back and try other items as they had a large assortment of baked goods. Pretty solid! We went on a Saturday morning and the place was packed! The parking is quite tricky so I recommend either getting there quite early or parking elsewhere. We parked in the taco time parking lot and had one person stay in the car. They had a good variety of pastries but things like the donuts were selling quite fast! Been wanting to try their treats for so long and it didn't disappoint! Their Jumbo Cream Puff was everything I was looking for in a dessert. We are in from out of town and staying up the hill from this place. I found it on the map and decided to walk to it. I am sure glad I did. They had such interesting pastries. One of them that I picked up was a beef curry doughnut! I also got a bacon and mustard braid, which was nice and chewy and had good flavor. Note that the parking lot is a little small and difficult to exit if other cars are coming in! At first I was very disappointed because I arrived 45 minutes before they closed, dreaming of an iced matcha, only to be told they were already done serving drinks for the day.
