I came to this place while visiting Niagara Waterfalls. The 1st night i was there, ordered chicken teriyaki, coconut shrimp and scorpion Roll. The food was good. I was help by a gentleman who is wearing short and flip flop. Assuming he is the owner, since other server is wearing uniform and black shoes. (It was busy, and there is a little wait time) but the food came out fast and taste good. So we went back on the next day. Ordered Same chicken teriyaki, Scorpion roll and hibachi shrimp with lomien. The waitress took our drink order and never come back. While we wait for her to come back, a table next to us that come later got their drink, and other waitress took their order. Finally she came with our drinks, and took our order. Come here for the lunch hibachi from 11:30 to 3pm. The soup bowl I had was delicious and also gluten-free. Coming here on your birthday expecting to get spanked by a spatula on top of a hibachi grill. If you're into 'Fifty Shades of Hibachi ', I would recommend coming here. Ironically there were two birthdays there, where they played the drums and brought a birthday cake on a boat platter presentation. Overall the service and food is great but lacking spicy condiments in comparison to other Asian restaurants. Fridays and Saturdays are very busy so I would recommend reserving a spot at a time; if you are interested in having a family night come on Wednesday for a magic show and balloon art. read more

Food was awesome!!! Had two sushi rolls and they were delicious! The only complaint I have is the service... I sat in a booth near the sushi bar and could see my roll done sitting there for at least 13 minutes. There was one server who was running around the whole place .... I met some friends out for dinner that choose Fuji; my first time going... probably my last too. I dont care for the hibachi part of the restaurant, so we choose a booth and ordered from the kitchen. I'm not sure what my friends ordered, but they enjoyed their food, I do know that. I choose a Spicy Tuna Roll, the Chicken Shrimp Combo and a glass of chardonnay and my bill was $37, before tip. The Spicy Tuna Roll was a bit weird. It appeared to be minced tuna mixed with something with a crunch and white rice. I had a couple bites and let's just say I've had better street sushi. The Chicken Shrimp Combo included a small salad that consisted of iceberg lettuce and a very thin slice of tomato and enough dressing that the lettuce was hanging on for dear life. The dressing was a ginger something but it tasted a lot like a thousand island dressing. The chicken and the shrimp were nicely browned, but in a sesame soy sauce that was a bit too sweet. Steamed vegetables, and a quite plain lo main noodle that was pretty greasy. To say the least I wasnt impressed by the food at the slightest, but our waitress was GREAT! very spacious resturant with nice decor located 5 minutes from fashion outlet niagara falls this is my to go to resturant whenever i have guests from out of the country spending the day between niagara falls and the outlet mall All their rolls are very good.. ordered the Hibachi lunch so my visitor can enjoy the show.. the cooking was very entertaining.. be ready for some saki pouring and mouth catching food play..the chef was kind and lively.. made everyone happy that afternoon I ordered the chicken and Fillet mignon hibachi combo while my guest had the shrimp fillet mignon combo.. they did not allow for half rice half noodles per order but agreed on one order of rice and one order of noodles and the chef divided both between me and my guest.. eventually it worked out the hibachi meal comes with a soup and a salad.. not a bug fan of the soup but loved the salad and the sauce.. the meal also comes with 2 sauces, one is an aioli based and one is ginger based.. both were excellent huge portions and good amount of veggies to complement the dish, the fillet mignon was very tender and melty in my mouth, while the chicken was juicy and everything was seasoned and sauced up perfectly.. After taking a long drive this evening we ended up in Niagara Falls craving Japanese food. I had no idea this was a chain resteraunt since I didn't know anything about it upon entering (I've only lived in Buffalo for about 9 months), but after coming here I would actually go out of my way to eat at every possible location. The place itself looked very nice inside and catered to the hibachi crowd with roughly 8-10 separate stations (very impressive actually). We were seated in a booth that had it's own private entrance which was awesome. After looking over the menu I knew I needed to give the Emperor's Dinner of Filet Mignon and Chicken a try with a side of miso soup. I probably say this about 5 different places a year but this was some of the best miso soup I remember eating in the past few years, it was absolutely perfect. When the main entree came I dug right in and went for the Filet Mignon first and let me tell you, it was rare, juicy, and perfect. The chicken was just as tender and was some top notch teriyaki chicken. Even the rice exceeded my expectations and was the final touch to make this a 5 star rating experience. I will 100% be giving the other locations a try and coming back time and time again. read more

I was visiting Niagara Falls with some family from Italy and found Fuji Grill. What a great surprise! Service was amazing !!! The waiter was super friendly and extremely helpful. We didn't wait long at all for our food, but he insisted on giving us free edamame and spring rolls for the wait. Then we got free sake samples as well. First: the Filet was great, scallops were good too, however this place is not friendly for dietary restrictions. The down side: Our cook was launching pieces of broccoli, trying to get it in our table mates mouths, after 8 'bricks', he proceeded to my father (with Parkinson's), I told him no for him and for me too, and passed his attention down the line, looking and pointing to my right and I was struck in the Forehead with a piece of broccoli! I would NOT recommend Fuji for a group. We made reservations more than a month in advance for 2 seperate seatings. The first group was seated over a half hour late with the final group well offer an hour after our reserved time. The hostess and manager on duty were rude and blamed other patrons for causing the delay and implied that it was our fault for expecting such a large group to be accommodated. That was the point of the reservation, to allow them time to prepare to accommodate our large group. While my main dish was good, my table was not served the full meal we ordered. The soups and salads that are a part of the meal were not delivered and no accommodations were made to represent that error on our bill. At the other table where the high school students in our group were seated, several did not recieve their meals. After efforts to get their food served, a parent reordered from the sushi bar and paid separately so they could eat. The students still recieved bills for the meals they did not recieve and the staff expected to get paid for food not delivered. This was never resolved. One parent did recieve a $20 gift card which was used to pay the bill for the food not recieved however it did not cover the full amount and she paid the remaining amount out of pocket, again, for food not delivered. Bottom line, what I got was good but the experience as a whole was so terrible I will not return. If you can't manage reservations don't take them and remember the customer is always right. Had the staff been courteous and made any effort to right the wrongs, this review would look totally different. read more

We decided to go here for our wedding anniversary a few weeks ago. I hadn't been to a hibachi type restaurant in approximately four years since moving from downstate New York. Fuji Grill met our expectation and more. Great service and the food was excellent. The cook was very entertaining. We both decided to be economical :) and choose the chicken hibachi. It was cooked very well. One small annoyance was the cook continually attempting to squirt saki into our open mouth and sometimes all over our clothes. I've been here a few times and always had a great experience except when I went the other night. I had a reservation for 14 for 6pm. We got there at 5:50 and there was a reservation for 14 at 5:30 and they still hadn't been seated. I should have known that it would have been a while based on that. That party got seated right around 6pm and we didn't get seated until 6:30pm. I understand that you can't control how long people take to eat but you shouldn't have been continually accepting walk ins when you have two large parties with reservations to seat. A friend suggested this place a few weeks ago and so, we went. I had never been to this type of place and it sounded like fun. It was! I did not try any sushi (because I'm generally not a fan), but we sat at one of the hibachi grills and were entertained by the chef that prepares everything right there while you watch. Be prepared to be squirted with Sake and have broccoli tossed at you, all of which of you are supposed to catch in your mouth of course. We both had the steak and lobster which came with a side choice of either rice or noodles. I got the rice and my friend got the noodles so I got to try both. It's not always easy to have dinner in Niagara Falls without winding up someplace overly touristy, but I think my wife and I definitely succeeded in doing so when we visited Fuji Saturday Night (April 13th, 2013). Our waitress was a wonderful young lady named Vicky who was not only very fast, but very accurate. She got us our squid salad and seaweed salad in quick order, which was a good thing because it was, in my wife's words, "to die for." The entrees, mine being teriyaki tuna and hers being teriyaki salmon, were exquisite. The tuna was nice and succulent and the sauce which accompanied it complemented it perfectly, Between that and the lettuce leaves, our dinner was truly amazing, a great way to end our mini-vacation to Niagara. We travel all over doing Karate Tournaments. We always pick a Japanese Hibachi Steakhouse to eat at. On this trip we had 32 people, a birthday and tons of kids! Went here with Family on 7/5/2014, party of 9. Also 11/29/2014 with a party of 8. We had reservations for the hibachi both times. What a great time! I believe I've eaten here 4 times total. Let me say this: if you're going to the hibachi, prepare to have sake squirted in your mouth (or lemonade if someone is underage in your party and they want to play along) and try to catch some veggies in your mouth, and possibly miss them. lol The staff was very welcoming. Just like every other hibachi restaurant I've ever been to, you can say no to the sake/lemonade...but why not just go along with the fun? If you don't like sake, ask for the non-alcohol version lemonade. The veggies they try to get in your mouth have never left any residue on my clothes when I missed...so again, go for it! If you want to sit at the hibachi you do need to have at least two hibachi orders in your party. I've been happy with the meals and the staff every time I've been here. The only complaint I can think of is getting short changed on the rice from the hibachi once because we had a non-hibachi member of the party and the cook didn't remember and portioned it out to her as well. Also, it says on the menu that the hibachi comes with soup and salad...but the last two times (maybe every time) I've absoluetly only gotten salad with no option of soup presented. I wouldn't say 5 stars, but I would go up to 4.5 if I could. read more

This place is so much fun! They have the best hibachi chefs in the area. They're very generous with squirting sake into people's mouths. They will throw food at you and you're going to have to try to catch it in your mouth. A piece of broccoli hit me in the center of my forehead. Luckily after that, the guy knew I was over displaying my poor depth perception. They won't force you to do anything embarrassing but they will try. Once they had a stranger spank my friend. Pretty hard, actually. The food's decent. I usually stick to sushi or appetizers. The last time we went, the server forgot 3 of our dishes. Niagara Falls really needed a place like this - not only sushi/Japanese food, but also just a nice restaurant with a great atmosphere and good service. My friend and I each had the Sushi Deluxe, shared an order of edamame, and bowls of miso soup. Everything was delicious - even the wasabi seemed extra good, very fresh and spicy. To top it off, we split the Exotic Bomba for dessert and it was the perfect thing to end the meal, a fruity, creamy palate cleanser. The atmosphere was just right - any past complaints about the lighting must have been addressed. I found it to be not too dark, not too bright and the decor was lovely and made me feel cozy and comfortable. Finally, our server, Connie, was so nice and attentive! Tasty! I wanted something different and, well, the Niagara area isn't super diverse. So I stopped by on a rainy afternoon as I was craving miso soup. The restaurant is really nicely decorated, with lots of hibachi tables in the center and more intimate booths on the perimeter. I sat in a booth, but could see the families enjoying the hibachi experience. My miso soup was quite tasty and I also enjoyed a couple of the house rolls. For the less adventurous lots of the fish is cooked, but I really loved that the rolls with raw fish were equally well prepared. Service was kind of slow for me, but I'm pretty sure it was just my server. Stop in! read more

Typical hibachi place; the steak was AMAZING, the chicken (that my husband got) was pretty good, too. I took some business guests here. The service was terrible. Extremely slow and forgot the orders. This was a Wednesday with only about 10 patrons. They hardly returned to check on us. The chef took 30 minutes to come to the hibachi table. During our 30 minute wait we had the opportunity to enjoy the strong ammonia smell from the cleaning taking place 10 feet from the table. I am not in the habit of walking out of a restaurant but they were begging me to do it with the the series of mistakes, slowness, and general uncaring attitude. If it wasn't for my quests I would have left. I strongly recommend staying away from this little gem. read more
