We ordered two noodle soup, one steak Soba, one steak Udon. First, they give us two Udon, then they said they got it wrong, and changed one to Soba. I think this noodle is not Soba, it's like Ramen in Walmart. I had Soba before at other restaurants, never seen this kind of Soba. The soup tastes like no flavor. My friend and I stopped in here after a day of shopping. Being from Toronto, we weren't really expecting much - pseudo sushi at best. We ended up ordering (for takeout) a Phoenix Roll and a Rainbow Roll. Oh my goodness, can I just say that it was the best sushi I've eaten in a very long time. This place is consistently great. We went here and had a California roll sushi for an appetizer and I had the Hibachi entrée of Filet Mignon and chicken combo. The food presentation is always just right. The service is always fast and friendly. Some people may not know but you do not have to eat at the Hibachi tables. The full dining experience! The hibachi chef was over the top in trying to impress us which was quite amusing and enjoyable. Appetizers: edamame portion was nice, but the calamari was like 8 pieces which was seriously a disappointment. Entree: fried rice with vegetables with scallop and medium rare steak. Everything turned out well, just a little salty for my taste but still edible and pleasant. Hibachi is hard to screw up. Scallops were cooked just long enough and steak as well. Dessert: none because they didn't offer any yet provide a very interesting selection. The check was handed to us before we could order. They were great about accommodating a large group reservation. Server was very good as well. Kept up with refilling our drinks and was also happy to separate checks which is uncommon with large parties. Food was delicious. Everyone had a hibachi meal. My absolute favorite place to eat in the falls. The manager (possibly owner?) always remembers his customers, and is so warm and welcoming. Plus, it pays to be a "regular". We are often surprised with free appetizers, once free drinks. The food itself is delicious, I have yet to be disappointed. I have had better, but only in places with a highly populated Japanese community right on the Pacific coast. Sushi: always delicious and fresh, though the presentation varies from a 3-9 depending on who is working. The food itself makes up for the (rarely) "poor" presentation Hibatchi: so so so good. For those that haven't had hibatchi though, be prepared for long waits and (most likely) saki on your shirt. The chefs are as ostentatious as one would hope, the show is impossible to watch without laughing, and the finished product is heaven. Again: Be prepared to wait up to an hour for your main course. Hibatchi tables are filled by chair. If you go in with only 1-2 in your party, you will have to wait for 4-6 more people to come in before the meal starts being prepared. The appetizers, sushi, soup/salad, and drinks are served in a timely fashion as you wait though. Regular menu: just as satisfying as everything else! My husband has said many times that he would happily live off of their stir-fry chicken udon, and I feel the same about their chicken teriyaki. This is not one of the best places that I have gone for hibachi. Even though the owner of the place is very nice and is trying to keep is business alive I feel that there is so much work to do in this place. The waitress are not good at understanding and comprehending what you tell them. The spicy crap was good not the best I repeat since I have had spicy crab from a couple places and compared to the other ones it isn't on their level. The volcano roll I didn't like what so ever and I read the description it did sounded like something that could have been good but I also got it confuse with a different picture of a different sushi on the menu so when I got it I was kind of confuse and not sure I it was what I order when then later a realize that I looked at the wrong picture that the picture I looked at and though was the sushi I was getting was a different one and I feel that could have an influence on how I though that it was going to taste so I do take that in consideration I feel that maybe someone who knew what they were getting maybe would have been ok with the taste but me personally I didn't like it. I ate two and I could have had no more of it so that is where I tried to get my point across to the waitress and the response and feed back I got back was totally no good. I didn't feel comfortable bringing the up even though I did kept bringing it up until the end when my friend went to pay and I asked that I could speak to the owner to see if he could do something about it because my friend and I felt like it wasn't fair for her to pay for something that I didn't even ate and when the owner came he was nice and went ahead and took it off the total. I feel like the restaurant needs a lot of improvement even though the food is good the people that I interacted with that works there could do a better job. I do will exclude the guy who cooked the hibachi because he was very fun and he was also the one that cooked my friends food which I though was very good. I'm not sure why I cannot comment on my original post, or respond to the response from "Fuji grill," but their response back to me was untrue. First of all, I heard the other people at my table order "steak," and I watched (with my own eyes) the cook mix the steak and filet together. I then tasted my dinner, which I could clearly tell the difference in taste between steak and filet, because quite frankly, I think the plain steak tastes like dog food. But, apparently fuji grill themselves would like to tell me that I am wrong. I guess they cannot take credit for any mistakes they made. Also, they don't seem to mention anywhere in their response that they are sorry for ignoring my attempts to speak to them directly, or refusing to get back to me when they said they would. Second, they respond that each sushi roll comes with 8 pieces, always. If that's true, then why did I get ten all of the other times I was there? Also, if you're going to say that I got less this time merely because of the way it was cut, then why didn't my roll include the two end pieces this time? They definitely weren't in my container..... Generally, there are 8 pieces of sliced sushi, and the two end pieces, thus making 10 pieces. But, again, I'm wrong...? Finally, the mochi. Why did it cost me the same price for 2 pieces as it did for 3 in the past? I guess a yelp review is the only way to get a response from the manager, because they definitely avoid your concerns if you call to talk to them directly. read more

Would have rated it 5 stars but the front area was pretty hectic and we had to just kind of stand around in a crowd for 25 minutes to be seated. Would be nice if they had a more orderly way for people to wait for tables. The food is great though. We didn't sit at a hibachi table but those looked fun. Sit down folks and let me tell you a story. A story about how AWESOME this place is. My girlfriend and I came here for her birthday. We are from out of town. We were the only two at our table and this awesome place didn't make us wait a half hour until the table was fully seated, like most Hibachi places. Not only that but the cook and the service was AWESOME and the atmosphere was great. It was my girlfriend's birthday and they gave her a free bowl of deliciousness that you have to try to believe. We were sharing a table with a couple that had a young daughter (maybe 3 years old tops?), but that didn't stop the "chef" from pressuring us all to allow him to shoot sake down our throats all the while making disgusting, lewd sounds (both vocally and by repeatedly banging the counter with a spoon). My previous review focused on the great hibachi experience. That review still stands. This review focuses on table service and food off the menu. First, the sushi (spicy crab and California rolls) were great. Timbits were overdone. Waitress didn't bring salads and rushed us through apps as our entrees were ready. This to me is the worst. When salads were brought up she was not as apologetic as I would have hoped. My chicken curry dish was too heavy on the coconut milk and not enough on the spice. Chicken was "cardboardy" way over dry. Husband had the beef rolls. Funky tasting and for the coup de grace, had the good saver bag dill wrapped in the beef roll. Totally gross. First time here. Definitely a place for a date or special occasion. They have a large selection of sushi, and the hibachi grill is fun to watch. I had the Nagoya pineapple fried rice $13 and ice tea 2.25 the others had the steak and chicken hibachi $23. You don't get a lot, but like I said you're paying for the environment. Ps. The music playing this Sunday afternoon was very awkward and I don't normally here such " advisory" rap music in public, but it was oddly refreshing in a weird way. The positive reviews about this place must be absolutely fake. I was allured by the reviews and seeing this restaurant have a 4 out of 5 rating. The chef rushed through cooking the food and a lot of it wasn't cooked through. He also put the uncooked chicken and uncooked salmon next to each other which is a HUGE NO NO! That is CROSS CONTAMINATION!! This place is not big on cleanliness!! Beware!! You will get incredibly sick! This place is filthy and not clean. The chef then doused every single food item in teriyaki sauce. Mind you, it doesn't say on the menu that they do this. The chef was already angry and upset when he got to our table. When we asked if he could not do this, he didn't listen and mumbled words in his language hardly under his breath. You could tell from his tone he was being rude. After we told the waiter, he said that dousing all of the food in teriyaki sauce is what they do. Then why isn't that mentioned on the menu? What about people who are allergic to it? What about people who can't eat that due to a specific diet? Very inconsiderate. I asked for the manager and told her I can't eat anything on this plate. None of my friends could. This place should not exist. Not until they have properly trained chefs and staff who understand what proper customer service is. At least abide by basic health codes! We paid and left all of the food right there on the table. This is a huge warning to everyone...avoid this place. I have been to multiple hibachi places and this kind of service and food is not how it's supposed to be cooked.
