I confess, I only read the reviews on this place *after* I'd already finished my meal and wow, I couldn't disagree more (in a good way). We came here on a packed Saturday night when RIT's Nova group was hosting a fundraiser, so we got discounted AYCE and we knew a portion of proceeds were going to their organization. The wait was about 50 minutes at peak dinner time, so that was fair. I was very impressed with how clean and efficient everything was, including the cart at the end of the table for used dishes. Our food came out fairly quickly as we ordered on the tablet, and it was the kind of quality you always hope to get at a sushi joint: nice sized portions, very fresh tasting, lovely presentation. I appreciated that you could also help yourself to the rotating belt options for no extra charge. The only things we paid extra for were fountain drinks, and even those included refills (or so we were told - we only had one). The staff was professional, friendly and helpful. I hope whatever issues people experienced here in the past have been resolved because it sure felt like a top tier experience at an affordable price to me! My one beef is that the menu was missing a mackerel option but I'll be back another day to see if they have it read more

Came here super late around 8 they close at 9:30. Food is always moving so you're not hungry as you can see by my picture we couldn't wait. They seated us promptly after a short wait and the service was super quick. As an all you can eat sushi place they were great enjoyed the different rolls and the train was cool on the top track. Overall a really cute place, the atmosphere is very quaint and the place is very clean. The interior is decently large but the booths aren't really set up for groups larger than 4 so if you have more than that this might not be the best place for your group The location is right off the main road with an accessible parking lot so easy to get to Food is pretty good, all really fresh and keeps coming out. One thing to keep in mind is depending on where you are sitting is how many options you'll get. I was lucky to be closer to the output from the kitchen so I got a lot of options but the people at the other end had a more limited selection. There were lulls in the rate at which things came out but I didn't mind to much as it gave me a chance to digest and chat with my friends. As for overall sushi options they were pretty generic so they could suit most people however if you are looking for something really fancy this probably isn't the best option of sushi establishments . I did the all you can eat option which was $32.99, it was a little expensive in my opinion for what I got but I know my guy friends got theirs moneys worth so it probably depends on the person. They have a combo of conveyor belt items and special items you can order free or charge (for dinner mostly) via the app and the little train comes to your stop! That was my favorite part! Cool experience for All you can eat Sushi. We came here Friday around 5:45pm. The restaurant was almost half full. They had lots of cool anime decorations. We got our table quickly and got right into picking food. There were some cool sushi and snack, and the rest were quite typical sushi rolls. Most of the food was good. Sushi rice was soft. There were some things I didn't enjoy: octopus salad was dried and didn't feel fresh. Tango roll was missing on the bell and Spicy tuna roll wasn't filled in long time. We had to wait for a while to get see another round of spicy tuna roll shows up. Food that ordered from the online menu was served quickly and sashimi was fresh. We were looking for a revolving sushi place, since our usual is not open on Tuesdays. This place turned out to be an all you can eat one. It is $33.99 per person. The table was small for four of us, with the plates and lids, there were no room at all. They didn't come take them, so we put them on the next table. The food was ok, mostly maki, some nigiri. There are things you can order from the iPad, sone are included, sone with extra charges. I felt the selection was just ok. The cost is comparable to the other place with a la carte charges. I'm surprised at the mixed reviews, we had a great time. It was my husband and I, our four year old and two year old. We are from Buffalo and stopped for lunch before going to the Strong museum. We went at lunch time on a Saturday and it wasn't busy at all. We've had conveyer belt a couple times but not all you can eat, so we were excited for a new experience. It was very clean and I liked how there was a napkin dispenser, teriyaki sauce and sweet chili sauce on the table in addition to the soy sauce. I liked the variety of rolls, appetizers and desserts coming by and the little shinkansen train to bring the kitchen items out was super cute. My two year old loved the cheesy puff balls and ate several bowls. My favorite roll was a specialty roll that had steak and whipped garlic ricotta on it. First off: the staff were sort of friendly; but also not very attentive. It's a DIY restaurant, so I try not to get on their case too much about it. This is the perfect job for someone who is anti social. Unfortunately this is all the restraint I can muster. The first sushi I took off the conveyer belt was lukewarm. Not cold, not hot. Lukewarm. I'm genuinely scared how long the sushi had been rotating on the very long conveyer belt before it had the misfortune of being consumed by me. If I had a better survival instinct, I would have tipped my hat and left at this point. But alas, my latinx mothers voice rang like a bell in my head and reminded me not to judge so hastily. The second sushi I took off the conveyer belt contained a long strip of imitation crab. Instead of being lukewarm however, the sordid seafood substitute seemed to have reached the resting temperature of the bulbs that lit the trepidatious track it rode in on. If I was to compare this sushi to something found in nature, the only thing that comes to mind is a gas station sandwhich left in the passenger seat of a vehicle for 45 minutes in mid August. I won't put on airs. I am not fancy. I go to diners with sticky sticky sticky floors. Marks texas hots is the only thing that could come between me and my marriage. But where Marks Texas hots sacrifices health code points for succulent sopping wet midnight bread and a little bit of meth, fuji sushi station leaves their patrons wondering "Have the owners ever eaten sushi? Or did they just see it in a movie once and buy 55 gallon drums of sesame oil instead of soy sauce?" Where there should have been caviar, there was hot cheetos. Where there should have been umami, there was more fucking sesame oil. And where there should have been ambiance, there was a TV screen showing animals violently mauling, killing, and eating each other in high definition. At one point I even found myself becoming jealous of them as arctic foxes are one species of animal that is immune to the ill effects of salmonella contamimation. As Mrs. Thumper said, "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all". And so if for other reason than to justify my sick ramblings, I feel I must inform you dear reader of the mild positive experiences to be had at Fuji Sushi Station. Their matcha brown tea was drinkable and served hot. Sushi ordered off the menu seemed close to legal temperature and came in large portions. Am I upset that I spent $38 on sushi that looked amazing, but all roughly tasted the same? Do I regret putting a warm seaweed salad in my mouth that reminded me of my uncles ill behaved dog who used to tackle me and lick my face until I cried? Do I regret spending nearly two hours trying to get my moneys worth for a meal that I am still not confident will stay down two hours after departure? No. I alone am responsible for the ways in which I am tortured as I crawl on my belly through the dust of this mortal coil. Alas, my chief reassurance is that Sushi585 will always be there for me. This one is a conveyer belt restaurant which is always a fun concept. They have excellent service and a lot of good variety. You can take plates of food right off the conveyer belt; if there is something you want, you can also order made to order and it comes on a train to your table. There is always staff to clear plates and they have fresh oranges and many different delicious desserts. Quality of sushi itself is OK and we did come near closing time (around 8:30 PM) so there were less conveyer belt choices). I think I can sum up the experience at this place as one big MEH. First off 3 dollars for a can of soda is a poor way to start off. The offerings on the conveyor belt were like Russian roulette. One out of six were ok. The train delivering your food is a bit silly. Sushi is one of the few foods I prefer to see being made. The fact that the belt ran into a behind a wall, tells me they don't want you to see where it is coming from. There are other conveyor belt places in Rochester that end up being more expensive, but the quality is worth it. I have seen some reviews calling this gas station sushi. I have had some great sushi at some gas stations. In addition, the booth we were given had a giant tear in the seat cushion. That says enough for and this qualifies as a one and done. We had an amazing time at this restaurant on a Sunday for dinner. There were 2 of us, so we each got to sit next to the conveyor belt and grab what we wanted. I thought the selection of items on the conveyor belt exceeded expectations. The food options are plentiful and I felt a good variety came around on the conveyor. Unfortunately, the taste and quality of the food were disappointing. The sushi is just okay, but any additional foods were got (apps) were borderline terrible. The scallion pancakes tasted like pure oil. The gyoza, spring rolls, desserts and pork belly bao were dry and bland. Some of the sushi rolls had a strong fishy taste, not in a good way. Fun but a bit confusing. First time diners need to understand how it works. Do you order or do you pick from the "train"?

Kind of disappointed for waiting for so long for it to open, and I took my family there to give it a try, and we didn't see everything that was listed on the menu that was going around on the converter belt island, and their sashimi meats are very thin , and there are no Don Bowl at all, and all the sashimi items and Nigiri are limited 1 order per item, so that's the first I have ever seen in an AYCE sushi restaurant, so please make some adjustments thank you read more

The food was good. The sushi portions are decently sized. You get a decent amount of food for a decent price. I arrived there a little over a hour before closing, and the waitress 30 minutes before closing asks if we were ready to check out. At that point we had not gotten all of our food that we ordered and we had just gotten our drinks 5 minutes before. We asked about the rest of our food and the waitress explains that the kitchen staff decided they were tired and were done cooking for the night, also there was a language barrier between the waiting staff and the kitchen. It's important to note there was a table that was seated after us and most likely did not get full service as the kitchen staff decided to close at 9pm. Also the wait staff would have forgotten our drinks if we hadn't asked. Overall, the experience wasn't that great, perhaps it is better to go there midday, for lunch instead for dinner. read more

Downside is that popular items run out before they get to you and you have to wait. Some items you have to wait for a server since they are special order and the wait is even longer. Cool part is that special order items come to you on a little car on a track that stops at your table. (No one can snag it!). I took my three boys for my eldest's birthday. We had lots of delicious food, and the service was wonderful!

This place just opened up but could definitely improve by a lot. The quality of the sushi is okay and there isn't a big selection for the different types of rolls on the conveyor belt. When ordering through the QR code you cannot select the quantity of how much sashimi you can order so I had to keep adding individual pieces one by one into my cart. I ordered 15 pieces of salmon , 14 white tuna and 10 yellow tail sashimi and only got half of what I placed. I assumed they thought I didn't know how much I added to my cart and gave me half of this, given this is an AYCE place there isn't much variety and very pricey for what it is. Overall, this place was not as good as I thought it would be, and you're basically paying for the vibes of the place, when I first sat down I was greeted well and the place was clean but the food was the only downside of this place, I wouldn't recommend coming back unless they improve on the quality, but given that they just opened I would give it some time before coming to eat here 5/10 read more
