So glad I finally have a breakfast/lunch spot to hit after dropping friends or family off at the airport! I've visited their Tahoe location numerous times and have always told people they have some of the best bagels around. For my breakfast sandwich, I went with the Jalapeño Cheese bagel with egg, pepper jack cheese, and pork roll. And yes--get the pork roll! You can't find it around here, and it makes for an excellent breakfast sandwich. Everything was delicious, and this will definitely become one of my go-to stops when I'm in the area. This is my second time getting bagels here, and this time was just as yummy as the first! I ordered an egg everything bagel with sun-dried tomato cream cheese which was the perfect start to my day! They have a ton of different flavors of bagels and cream cheese, and also a few breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I didn't get a coffee this morning but they have a nice variety of flavored lattes. The space itself is great: cozy mountain feel with some east coast decor such as a NJ license plate. There are plenty of seating options if you care to stay and eat. I had been meaning to try Tahoe Bagel for a while, and since I was already down the street after getting a haircut, I figured it was the perfect time to stop in. It was a Saturday morning, and even though the shopping center has plenty of parking, the lot was packed. I'm guessing the breakfast spot nearby had something to do with that. Once I got inside, though, I really liked the space. It was clean, had plenty of tables, and had a relaxed, laid-back feel. After looking over the menu, I ordered a large iced mocha, the Back 2 Life with bacon and pork roll, a jalapeño and cheese bagel with cream cheese, and a lox because I'm a sucker for a good lox and bagel. The woman at the counter was really nice and helpful. When she was getting my bagel together, she suggested I swap the plain cream cheese for the jalapeño popper flavor. I told her putting jalapeño popper cream cheese on a jalapeño and cheese bagel sounded like a lot of jalapeño, but she assured me it was good, so I went with it. She was right. The bagel was soft even after being toasted, and the jalapeño popper cream cheese had a great mix of spice, cheese, and little smoky bacon pieces. It ended up being one of my favorite things I ordered, and I think I found my new go-to cream cheese flavor. The Back 2 Life was also really good and definitely filling. Between the smoky bacon, pork roll, hash brown, egg, and hot sauce, it had everything I want in a breakfast sandwich. The lox was exactly what I was hoping for: smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, onion, tomato, and dill on a fresh bagel. That combination is hard to beat when it's done right, and Tahoe Bagel does it right. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but even the iced mocha surprised me. It wasn't bitter, had just enough sweetness, and was nice and refreshing. Everything I tried was good, the service was friendly, and there are still plenty of things on the menu I want to come back for. Have I really not shared my love with this business? Shocking because I love these Tahoe bagels! Everything about the spot is solid from the walk-in to the last bite, and I'm so glad that they decided to come to Reno. These are real deal East Coast style bagels, made with love every morning, fresh daily, and perfect slathered with a healthy dose of house, whipped cream cheese, or as the device for holding what are Reno's most stacked sandwiches. I'll agree with that description because these things are skyscraper tall. The basic egg and cheese sandwich easily stand at about 6 inches add the meat now we're pushing seven seriously it's hard to get your mouth around these bad words and you should try and post a picture of the attempt because you're bound to look foolish, but you'll enjoy every minute of it. Well, I do love the bagel sandwiches here. I am still a purist and I love picking up a dozen bagels and some Schmear to bring home to share with friends or myself. Their egg bagels are chefs kiss top of those with everything you get the egg everything and it is absolutely everything. They often do special bagels, like French toast, but I stick to classics and always pickup garlic, salt, plain, jalapeño , and sometimes I hear off track and snag a pesto. Everything too. Did I mention that if you get a bagel sandwich here or you can pick any bagel in the case? The whole menu is around the East Coast so you've got takes on the Philly cheesesteak and the classic roast pork. You've also got the option of having pork roll on your breakfast bagel sandwich, which is definitely a nod to the northeast and the only spot out west of come across this specialty. It's clear the menu is chef inspired because literally everything is made from scratch scratching you cannot go wrong choosing anything here. I've gotten this whole way through the review without mentioning the incredible staff. That means literally everything about the place from how the sauce is made to what best bagel combos go together they've tried it all. Rolled into the Reno Tahoe Bagel location for the first time today. I've enjoyed the South Lake Tahoe location prior so was excited to hit the Moana Lane spot. Walked into the spot and was impressed with how nice it was. Working the counter was Johnny G. who set me up with a "Back 2 life" breakfast sandwich bagel. This place was amazing and I can't wait to go back to try out more sandwiches and their variety of bagels. We tried out two of the sandwiches and a bagel with cream cheese and it was all great. The hangover cure was piled high with eggs, meats, cheese AND a hash brown. The Italian had some quality deli meats and was a great lunch sandwich. Stopped here for breakfast to-go as it was recommended by a friend. Had the everything bagel with egg, bacon and cheddar cheese. It was delicious and boy, was it filling. I could only eat half of it. The bagels are soft and thick and toast up nicely. There are lots of bagel options to choose from. Order up your favorite bagel variety to enjoy on its ow or indulge in one of the speciality bagel sandwiches for breakfast or lunch. I definitely plan to come back to try out their lunch menu next time. The store is small but does offer tables and seating areas. This late review is for my Sacramento Yelp Friend Victor V, hopefully he visited this morning. Quality/Quantity - Got a coffee, 6 bagels with a cream cheese to-go. And a sandwich to share with my wife for lunch later. We got the following: I tried to get all the special bagels, and no surprise that all of them were good. A French Toast bagel with the sun-dried tomato cream cheese/spread was very interesting?!?! Good flavors, but I do not recommend this cream cheese to compliment the bagel; maybe just a standard cream cheese would have been better. It was hard to describe the flavors as I couldn't really taste the french toast. Oh, and it was so messy... I ended up eating it with a fork and knife. Jalapeno Cheddar - Always one of my favorites. At times I will add more jalapenos and cheese to this bagel when I am home! Maybe I will post before and after pictures? Garlic and Onion - No kissing me today, lol. Sadly for everyone else, this is another one of my favorites. A staple for me. Pesto Spinach Everything & Pesto Spinach Asiago - Again, interesting flavors; you just need to try yourself. I'm a regular at the Tahoe Bagel located on the Kingsbury near Lake Tahoe. There's another one in South Lake Tahoe, and now this one in Reno. I stopped by yesterday after dropping Gayle off at RNO. It was early and I was hankering for a toasted Everything Bagel with plain cream cheese. And while I was here, why not take home a half a dozen with a smear? This Tahoe Bagel is not the easiest to find off Moana, but it's worth the extra eyes to pin it down the first time. I also recalled that I missed the recent Yelp Elite experience here, as part of Tahoe Bagel's grand opening festivities. I'm all for free food, but not if it involves a separate 45 minute drive each way. And I'm sure that my lost opportunity was other people's gain. But I do wonder if they do a locals discount like I enjoy at Kingsbury? In any event, service was friendly and prompt, and in short order I was back on the road. I dined on my toasted bagel and cream cheese while driving home, with one hand always on the wheel. It was an outstanding combination, as was the bagel sandwich I had for lunch later on, and a home toasted combo this morning. That one involved a cinnamon/raison, which is a personal favorite, and one that Gayle won't touch (even though she's sweet and savory in her own right). 5/5/26 1st timer here and it did not disappoint. I came shortly after they opened at 6 AM and I was the first customer in that morning. So many choices to choose from I went with the Back 2 Life on an everything bagel and it definitely had everything on it. It has egg, bacon and sausage, hashbrown, and a little bit of hot sauce.. It was delicious. It was a massive bagel, see pic. I was only able to eat half took the other half home. This was an elite event from Yelp. And I'm so glad I got into the event. And an All Star, which was even Mo Beta. On the elite All Star he got six bagels, cream cheese, which I got the garlic cream cheese and any sandwich or anything I wanted and also a drink. So that was pretty epic itself. Johnny was great helping me out this morning since I've only had an order to go another time. Super helpful kiddo. Happy guy. They have all kinds of cream, cheeses and sandwiches and bagels and muffins and drinks and lattes all kinds of syrup flavors. I can't wait absolutely can't wait to have my epic Philly cheese steak sandwich on a hoagie roll. They also have breakfast and breakfast specialties lunch you can build your own. Let's start with the service, Stephanie has to be the star of the show, no, maybe it was the sandwich, okay it's a draw. Service was beyond good, and the food was excellent. We started with a everything on it bagel with cream cheese, it was sooo good. It had enough cream cheese to sink the titanic. There must be six flavors to choose from, the plain may sound boring but it was so good. We split that and though it was filling we decided to split a turkey club sandwich too. You can see from the picture it was packed with goodness. It was delicious and very much a part of the great experience. Plenty of seating, coffee, breakfast, lunch or just a snack, Tahoe Bagel won't disappoint. What a welcoming place! We were greeted by one of the owners, Stephanie, who made us feel right at home. I love that it's family-owned--even one of their cream cheeses is named after Grandma Lily, which adds such a personal touch. The menu has a great variety of options. I ordered the Western omelet with ham, eggs, bell peppers, onions, and pepper jack cheese on a toasted everything bagel. It was delicious! I also loved the cozy seating area. My husband ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, and it came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Before we left, I picked up a garlic onion bagel and some tomato cream cheese to take home, and they both look amazing. I can't wait to try them in a couple of days. The inside is very clean, the staff super polite and a bit sassy and the service is very quick. I ordered the Back 2Life breakfast sandwich on a garlic and onion bagel. It included an eggs, bacon and sausage on a perfectly toasted bagel. They have many bagel selections that can be bought separately or by the bunch. Was visiting from Portland and dropped by this Tahoe Bagel as it was next to our casino. The place looked like it could be next to a college, lots of young adults in little groups. We were leaving the next day and had to drop by again to grab another one for the road. The nice gentleman at the register remember us from yesterday and recommended a unique cream cheese. The bagel sandwiches here are great. It starts with really nice fresh bagels. There's a good assortment of simple topping as well as good sandwiches. The inside of the cafe is super clean and comfortable as well. The staff... also A+. It's a centrally located off Moana Lane. Be forewarned that Yelp has the wrong location in the map. This led to great confusion the last time we tried to find Tahoe Bagel. The cafe is at the southeast corner of the shopping center, actually on the spur that goes to Coliseum rd. The bagels here are the best I've ever had. There are some good bagels here in reno but this place blows them out of the water. They aren't hard , heavy or thin.. they are crispy outside and soft , light and flavorful inside. Not chewy or tough to bite into. Everything is so fresh. From the sandwich ingredients to the cream cheese. Not only are the bagels the best ive had but their cream cheese is perfect in my opinion. It's not thin but not too thick. Just the right amount of creamy, not too sweet or too tart. I couldnt believe the flavor.. I got the veggie bagel. I never really do but so happy i did and im addicted..lol.. it has cream cheese, red onions, thin sliced cucumber, alfalfa sprouts and avocado.. had it on a egg bagel..ive never had one before and it was a good match with the ingredients. My fiancee had the "back 2 life" which is a breakfast sandwich with 2 meats and hashbrowns. She loved it.it was so big that she could barely bit it..lol.. Everyone working here is very welcoming ,nice and happy explain anything. The service is pretty fast cooked perfectly..the place is very open and bright but not hurt your eyes bright..lol.. its welcoming , clean and great decor. Tahoe Bagel just opened (1/28/26) their third location, now in Reno at the Independance Square on Moana Ln. Owner Jeffrey Kaplan wanted to bring his "East Coast Bagels" to the Biggest Little City. Always open to a good bagel, we had to give it a try. The restaurant as a subtle but distinct Tahoe vibe, with the open kitchen atmostphere, so the entire operation is on beautiful display, adding to the clean, open and airy atmostphere. My wife ordered the classic Cinnamon Raisin Bagel with Cream Cheese. Since we had originally ordered our order to go, her bagel came with Philly Creme Cheese packages. I suppose these are just easier to travel with. Tahoe Bagel makes their own Cream Cheese, everything from the classics like plain and strawberry to most adventurous flavors like their Verde and Jalepeno. Be sure to ask for the hand crafted cream cheese. More for variety I ordered one of the breakfast bagels. The Sausage Egg Breakfast Bagel was truly legit. The Bagel is lightly toasted, giving it a light snap on the outside, while leaving the inside of the bagel light and rich with flavor. The Sausage and Egg were cooked to perfection. Even though this was technically only their 3 day open (in Reno) the place was hopping (8:30am) with a solid line of guests waiting to order their favorite bagel. Delicious, inviting and high quality, we are so glad that the Tahoe Bagel Co has come to our little town. In a world of "anti-carb" Tahoe Bagel's are a worthy endulgence. read more

Tahoe Bagel has easily become one of my favorite bagel spots! I typically get the Muenster special bagel on a jalapeño cheddar bagel with Lilys veggie cream cheese. SOOOOOO GOOOD! This was a refreshing bagel! The cream cheese felt light and paired with the veggies it was fresh! There's a large parking lot that can get busy on weekends, but you'll be able to find a spot. We were able to grab a table on a busy Saturday afternoon before our order came up but with a steady line at the counter this may not be the case. I had the Philly and Tri Tip sandwiches that have been recently recommended by local food media (Edible Reno-Tahoe). But I was reluctant to try these since it's a bagel shop and should've listened to my gut. The Philly was okay but definitely not great. The beef had very little flavor and seemed low quality. The Tri Tip was really thin and dry but was somehow still dripping in grease. Worst I've had anywhere. The hoagie roll, provolone, and broccolini were decent and made it somewhat edible, but this place was a one and done for me. Maybe the bagels are the only safe bet here? This place has been open a month and they're packed on a Sunday morning. The line never stopped while I was there. Only one person on the register, but many staff members making the orders which was nice. I had the cinnamon raisin bagel with butter, I asked for it to be toasted, but it was just heated. It was still good and the bagel portion is big. There are many bagels to choose from and of course bagel sandwiches which looked good. My bagel was $1.95, .50 for butter and an apple juice for $3.50. My breakfast was under $7 bucks. The place is decorated with a cool mural and below the mural is a window to watch them make the bagels which is fun to see. Eat more hole foods! This place was packed on Saturday, but the line moved at a good pace and the bagels were worth the wait! I got the egg, pastrami and cheese bagel on a blueberry bagel. The bagel was savory despite the fruit, also it was toasted to perfection. We also got the proper Philly bagel sandwich, very good! Both hot sandwiches came hot, hooray! Our son got the Italian on sesame. It was so packed it was hard to eat, not actually a problem. The only suggestion I could offer would be to toast this one too even though it's a cold sandwich, it would have elevated it to next level status;) All three were delicious in their own right.
