5/5/26 1st timer here and it did not disappoint. I came shortly after they opened at 6 AM and I was the first customer in that morning. So many choices to choose from I went with the Back 2 Life on an everything bagel and it definitely had everything on it. It has egg, bacon and sausage, hashbrown, and a little bit of hot sauce.. It was delicious. It was a massive bagel, see pic. I was only able to eat half took the other half home. Service was great Stephanie T is the one that helped me check out and was very friendly and informative. Ambience is nice. Plenty of seating everywhere. Definitely will be back to try other stuff. Enjoy !!!!
Awesome location for a great bagels and sandwiches. It's tucked into a little corner in the Independence Square on Moana Ln- perfect in and out access. The inside is very clean, the staff super polite and a bit sassy and the service is very quick. I ordered the Back 2Life breakfast sandwich on a garlic and onion bagel. It included an eggs, bacon and sausage on a perfectly toasted bagel. They have many bagel selections that can be bought separately or by the bunch. In addition, they have a great selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Many more visits will ensue in order to sample all of their items.
I am from the self proclaimed breakfast sandwich capital of the US and the back 2 life sandwich here gives NYC a serious run for their money. I haven't had a breakfast sandwich this good in a hot minute. They weren't lying, it really did replenish my life source. I'm not a double meat kind of girl so I subbed one for avocado and it was a fantastic decision.
Tahoe Bagel has easily become one of my favorite bagel spots! I typically get the Muenster special bagel on a jalapeño cheddar bagel with Lilys veggie cream cheese. SOOOOOO GOOOD! This was a refreshing bagel! The cream cheese felt light and paired with the veggies it was fresh! There's a large parking lot that can get busy on weekends, but you'll be able to find a spot. There's a good amount of seats inside and the staff are great!
Still solid--good coffee; nice, bright, colorful interior; friendly, patient service; and plump, fresh, tasty bagel sandwiches. Unfortunately the club music is still going--I thought it might just've been a fluke the last time I was in, but no, I guess it's a feature, not a bug. At this point I'm kind of thinking they should lean into it--get some pulsing neon lights and a smoke machine, maybe add a few more speakers. They could have a stanchion and a bouncer at the door, so it feels more exclusive. . . .
Friends recommended Tahoe Bagel and what a wonderful first time experience. (We have not been to their 2 other Tahoe locations either.) They have a varied menu for breakfast and for lunch and a case of bagels with lots of flavor choices. I ordered a plain bagel with the veggie cream cheese, but was mistakenly given a veggie bagel sandwich. It turned out to be a tasty error because it was delicious. (They graciously made me another bagel, the original order and let me keep the veggie bagel. Great customer service!) The veggie bagel had great ingredients and the bagel itself was delicious and quite large. I would order this again. My hubby ordered the Western breakfast bagel and he loved every bite too. He shared with me and it was so very savory, delicious and flavorful. The place has a great energetic and lively vibe---so does Georgia who gave us excellent service at the counter. It's well decorated and so comfortable. We also met Jeff, one of the owners and his great manager gal too. His kindness and enthusiasm and passion for the place was evident. Completely love this place and we'll be coming back regularly. Lunch menu is next to try! Highly recommend for everyone to try.
Hubby and I tried the Proper Philly on a Hoagie and it was crave worthy! We added sweet peppers which is a must. One sandwich was enough for us to share. We were able to grab a table on a busy Saturday afternoon before our order came up but with a steady line at the counter this may not be the case. Super friendly cashier and a staff that seems to enjoy themselves just adds to the experience. All the bagel sandwiches surrounding us as we ate looked delicious too!
This place has been open a month and they're packed on a Sunday morning. The line never stopped while I was there. Only one person on the register, but many staff members making the orders which was nice. I had the cinnamon raisin bagel with butter, I asked for it to be toasted, but it was just heated. It was still good and the bagel portion is big. There are many bagels to choose from and of course bagel sandwiches which looked good. My bagel was $1.95, .50 for butter and an apple juice for $3.50. My breakfast was under $7 bucks. The place is decorated with a cool mural and below the mural is a window to watch them make the bagels which is fun to see. I love the wooden benches just adds charm to the shop. The people are friendly and it was worth the wait.
Eat more hole foods! This place was packed on Saturday, but the line moved at a good pace and the bagels were worth the wait! I got the egg, pastrami and cheese bagel on a blueberry bagel. The bagel was savory despite the fruit, also it was toasted to perfection. We also got the proper Philly bagel sandwich, very good! Both hot sandwiches came hot, hooray! Our son got the Italian on sesame. It was so packed it was hard to eat, not actually a problem. The only suggestion I could offer would be to toast this one too even though it's a cold sandwich, it would have elevated it to next level status;) All three were delicious in their own right. It's hard to choose a favorite. We were happy with it all. Glad to see it thriving, we will definitely be returning:)
I'm a big bagel fan and have a high bar. Tahoe bagel doesn't disappoint. really creative cream cheese flavor flavors and great classic bagels. I got this open face sandwich this time and it was delicious. I'm excited to have it again. The staff is kind and I love that they serve drink coffee do stuff drinks. really chill atmosphere could hang out here all day.
First time checking out the Tahoe Bagel on Moana! I was excited to see they serve coffee from Drink Coffee Do Stuff, and both drinks we tried were excellent. The iced blackberry lavender white mocha and almond joy iced latte were flavorful and well done. I ordered the garlic onion bagel with garlic cream cheese and my husband had the Back 2 Life breakfast sandwich. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying, especially the cream cheese, which was full of flavor. The menu has tons of breakfast and lunch options. The bagel-making window and step stool for kids are great touches, and even with a long Sunday line, service was quick and efficient. Definitely coming back.
We were in town for baseball and my son wanted a cheesesteak sandwich. I found Tahoe Bagel so called to see if they were going to be open on the upcoming holiday. We went in late morning and they told me they did do lunch foods all day! Yess he got his sandwich and loved it! I was thrilled to see their selection of bagels and my fave, poppy! I had to have the lox sandwich..... cream cheese, lox, capers, tomatoes (hold the onion) . It was perfect !! The shop is cute... decorating paying homage to their Jersey roots. Great spot! The bagels here are the best I've ever had. There are some good bagels here in reno but this place blows them out of the water. They aren't hard , heavy or thin.. they are crispy outside and soft , light and flavorful inside. Not chewy or tough to bite into. Everything is so fresh. From the sandwich ingredients to the cream cheese. Not only are the bagels the best ive had but their cream cheese is perfect in my opinion. It's not thin but not too thick. Just the right amount of creamy, not too sweet or too tart. I couldnt believe the flavor.. I got the veggie bagel. I never really do but so happy i did and im addicted..lol.. it has cream cheese, red onions, thin sliced cucumber, alfalfa sprouts and avocado.. had it on a egg bagel..ive never had one before and it was a good match with the ingredients. My fiancee had the "back 2 life" which is a breakfast sandwich with 2 meats and hashbrowns. She loved it.it was so big that she could barely bit it..lol.. Everyone working here is very welcoming ,nice and happy explain anything. The service is pretty fast cooked perfectly..the place is very open and bright but not hurt your eyes bright..lol.. its welcoming , clean and great decor. We love all the pictures and the ceiling is beautiful. They even have a little window with a step stool for the kids to see them make the bagels.. this place quickly became a favorite. read more

Another great visit! Food is delicious and consistent. I shared an egg sandwich with bacon with my husband and it was very filling. Loved the freshness and taste of the bagel. The egg and bacon were cooked to perfection. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu! read more

Great but inconsistent! This place is absolutely delicious and definitely worth the wait! The coffee is a big strong for me, but their bagels are incredible. I wish they were more consistent. Getting a bagel sandwich on a Thursday means shorter lines and faster service, but you'll sacrifice quality. Coming in a Saturday means a 20 min wait, but a much better product. Fast, friendly, and delicious! I heard about this place from a friend and decided to check it out. So glad I did. I ordered the Back 2 Life breakfast bagel and it was soooo good! You get to pick two meats (I chose bacon and sausage) and they were generous with the meat. It was a perfect, filling breakfast bagel. They also prepared it super quickly. Staff was super friendly and patient, loved the gal who was at the cash register (I think her name was Georgia)! I ordered a peach ice tea as well which was refreshing. Looking forward to coming back and trying their lunch options (the Italian looks appetizing)! The inside is also cute and quaint - clean and a great spot to meet up/chat or work from your laptop. So glad we have another fantastic bagel place in town and that it's local! read more
Tahoe Bagel just opened (1/28/26) their third location, now in Reno at the Independance Square on Moana Ln. Owner Jeffrey Kaplan wanted to bring his "East Coast Bagels" to the Biggest Little City. Always open to a good bagel, we had to give it a try. The restaurant as a subtle but distinct Tahoe vibe, with the open kitchen atmostphere, so the entire operation is on beautiful display, adding to the clean, open and airy atmostphere. My wife ordered the classic Cinnamon Raisin Bagel with Cream Cheese. Since we had originally ordered our order to go, her bagel came with Philly Creme Cheese packages. I suppose these are just easier to travel with. Tahoe Bagel makes their own Cream Cheese, everything from the classics like plain and strawberry to most adventurous flavors like their Verde and Jalepeno. Be sure to ask for the hand crafted cream cheese. More for variety I ordered one of the breakfast bagels. The Sausage Egg Breakfast Bagel was truly legit. The Bagel is lightly toasted, giving it a light snap on the outside, while leaving the inside of the bagel light and rich with flavor. The Sausage and Egg were cooked to perfection. Even though this was technically only their 3 day open (in Reno) the place was hopping (8:30am) with a solid line of guests waiting to order their favorite bagel. Delicious, inviting and high quality, we are so glad that the Tahoe Bagel Co has come to our little town. In a world of "anti-carb" Tahoe Bagel's are a worthy endulgence. read more

Awesome new spot to get a bagel in Reno! Been a couple of times this week. Went first thing one morning and it was quiet and peaceful to get a bagel and coffee. Went on the weekend and it was the most popular place in town so you may have to wait a min or two longer but it is worth it. I will say they don't skimp on the cream cheese so be ready to enjoy that little extra. The bagels are well made and the cream cheese is flavorful. The best thing I have had there is the lox bagel sandwich! Such great flavor! Will be back again for that alone. read more
If you're a morning bagel person, don't skip this place!! Something about this place is magic. This is the first place I ever tried a lox bagel and I have been HOOKED ever since. The service is quick too, I swear I'm never sat for long before I have to get back up to grab my bagel. And don't even get me started on the cream cheeses. Their garlic cream cheese is good and so is the jalapeño popper cream cheese. My roommate swears by the veggie cream cheese. Overall, cute little fun place to eat with friends! read more

Loved the options for the amount of bagels and customizations available! There are so many to try and they have both breakfast and lunch options for bagel sandwiches. I ordered the veggie on a pesto everything bagel with garlic cream cheese. It was so fresh and delicious! Loved the bagel itself too and I would be thrilled with just this with cream cheese. They serve Drink Coffee Do Stuff and I ordered a banana bread latte. Definitely try this if you're looking for a sweet caffeinated treat! Finally, they have cream cheese for sale in many varieties. Will definitely be returning to explore their lunch options! read more

One of the best breakfast style bagels I've had in all of Reno! Quick and friendly service from the staff with a cabin style atmosphere that reminds me of some of the restaurants located up in the Tahoe region. I will be back for more, but I am docking a point for inconsistent quantity of ingredients on their bagels. The first time I went I thoroughly enjoyed the amount of hash browns on my breakfast bagel, but the second time around I noticed there was significantly less. The food was still delicious, but the hash browns are what absolutely made this bagel irresistible. read more

Opening day always throws me for a loop, but this was the best opening day experience. The service was fast, and the food was fantastic. For this visit I went real basic and got a traditional bagel and cream cheese. The bagel is not overly chewy and has great flavor. The cream cheese was full of flavor, and there was plenty of spread. There are multiple chairs and couches, making it a quiet place for a work session or a coffee date with a friend. Speaking of coffee, they have Drink Coffee Do Shit, and this was my first experience trying it, and it was actually really great as well. read more

Thank you for bringing back childhood memories. Taylor Ham!! That's what the family called Taylor pork roll. Pork roll egg and cheese on sesame seed bagel was terrific. The only thing missing is a NewJersey hard roll. Can u get some of them. Don't get me wrong, you do have the best bagel in town. read more

Tahoe Bagel Co is a welcome addition to Independence Square. I hadn't tried their original location but have tried a few other bagel shops in Reno looking for something close to the quality of a great Jewish Deli in my hometown. I'm thrilled that this egg bagel exceeded my expectations. Toasted perfectly with a nice crunch on the exterior but still soft inside with a generous amount of creamy cheese. They serve it sandwich style and cut in half so it's easy to grab and eat on the go. I also tried their Oatmeal Cookie iced latte which was a new flavor to me - tastes exactly like you would think. I got it half sweet and it was perfect for me. I'm lucky to be so close by every day but I would absolutely go out of my way to grab a bagel here. read more

I highly recommend the Proper Philly with Shaved Ribeye on a Hoagie Roll. Second the service was great, food came out quick and hot. The whole ambiance of the restaurant is great overall. I also recommend getting the Raspberry White Mocha, holy crap I don't drink coffee that much but the taste was awesome. Perfect amount of sweetness and a great taste of raspberry. We also tried the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on a Plain Bagel and it was HUGE. Could use a bit more flavor, but it was still good. This place definitely is up there with my favorites in town such as Desert Sun Bagels, My Favorite Muffin, and Stella. Definitely a good place to try. Price is a little expensive but worth the portion. read more

Reno has historically been a bagel desert with mainly terrible bagels being served to the public, but Tahoe bagel is a much needed addition to the area to change to that. Quality bagels and fast service. Check them out! First place I've seen around here that has Taylor Ham. (The cheesesteak is solid, too.) read more

The bagel was soooo good, perfect ratio of egg and turkey. They were out of the bagel I wanted but made sense with the time that I had arrived, was busy but didn't wait too long. Cozy little spot with a great environment, you can tell that this spot is going to give you delicious food. read more
