Always filled with lots of young Chinese folks. If you do not speak Chinese, good luck ordering and asking (if needed) for any explanation of the dishes. FOOD: - Ersi noodles are slightly chewier and thicker but you can barely taste the difference versus rice noodles - super oily - cold dishes are very salty and filled with vinegar/sichuan peppercorns - numbing spice all around (except for the combo with lots of dishes in its photo) - Stewed beef Ersi had every herb you can imagine except basil and viet herbs (haha) + a dollop of hot sauce and pickles - you can ask to cook your own meat - my table mates who have been to Yunnan states this is typically consumed in Yunnan but the dishes aren't as oily and filled with so much spices (I cannot confirm or deny) AMBIENCE - lots of young folks eating in... always looks very popular - sometimes you do have to sit next to strangers at family style tables - almost a grab and go vibe (eat and leave) SERVICE - servers prep the bowls table side - nonexistent service - inpatient and always trying to rush you (if you don't order when they are there, they move on) - when you ask for explanations of their menu, they prefer to provide limited explanations and just leave - you go to the "cashier" to pay and they will also ask if you will like a to go container - there's Apple Pay - nearly 100.1% Chinese spoken LOCATION - to the left of the lion market plaza - lots of parking (free + private parking lot) but take note of the multitude of options in eateries and hobbies - parking spaces are the majority as tight squeezes Would I go back? No. Too much going on and not my kind of vibe. Those who grew up at Yunnan however may frequent this location weekly or even daily as it probably reminds them of their childhood and/or China.

We noticed that Cloudland had available seating while most of the restaurants around it all had huge queues waiting out front, so we decided to give them a try. Despite ample available tables, they wanted to seat us outside. We didn't really mind at the time since it was a warm day and we were hungry and just eager to get our grub on. While they were quick to take our order and bring out the food, it was really hard to flag anyone during the meal as our table lacked several items. Most notably spoons in order to drink the noodle soup. Additionally, I had to go inside at the end of the meal to pay for our check as noone came back out to check on us. The menu here is pretty limited as far as main entrées go. There are only about a handful of main dishes to choose from, which I feel we didn't appreciate as much being unfamiliar with the regional cuisine. I ordered the Single Cooked Rice Noodle Soup, which comes with a pretty decent level of spiciness. So I would recommend asking if they have a non-spicey option if you do not enjoy a more intense heat. My wife opted for the Cold Rice Noodles with Chicken Shreds. We should have definitely looked up the pictures first, because it was not at all what we expected. Overall, we felt the dishes were ok. They food was filling; however we would have preferred if there were more options.

Tasty and generous bowls of noodle that gets busy and backlogged as well as minimal service. Credit cards accepted and walk-in mainly indoor dining with limited outside dining.

Not very impressive, may be we don't know what to order. The two appetizers that we ordered, imo, are over priced, especially the mushrooms are just a tiny sauce dish! The beef is too chewy not tender at all.

I came to Cloudland in Newark to try their noodles, and overall it was a solid experience. The noodles themselves were decent--good texture and flavor--but I was hoping for a bit more in terms of meat and ingredients, especially given the price point. For what you pay, the bowl felt a little underwhelming on the portion side. That said, the ambiance was nice and the service was friendly. I'd come back, but probably try something else on the menu next time.

I didn't like this place much. No variety in dishes and their signature noodle dish wasn't all that. The pork was an interesting mush without much meat in it. The cheese is sort of like paneer but served in an unappetizing way. Would recommend Human Mifen,a couple stores down. Or the noodle shop in the Ranch 99 plaza food court in Fremont.

Crossing bridge rice noodles - an usual noodles soup, nothing fancy. Single cooked rice noodles soup - it's the noodle soup, just add pepper oil and vinegar. Steaming pot chicken - it's delicious but too many chicken bones, hardly can taste the chicken meat. The owner said they use spring chicken hence many bones and less meat. It's a tiny pot just enough for one person.

Popular and authentic southwestern Chinese Yunnan regional cuisine. Known for Crossing-Bridge Rice Noodle 過橋米線. We went as soon as it opened. There was a long line of diners waiting when we finished our lunch. We were politely asked to leave as we finished our meal because so many people were waiting. We ordered: 4*Crossing-Bridge Rice Noodle 過橋米線 included hot broth, rice noodles, vegetables, and meat. I added hot chili sauce for stronger taste. 3*Fried Dairy Fan 大理炸乳扇: it was precooked and served cold. I wouldn't have ordered it if If I had known that. I like fried food served hot. 4*Fried Wild Boletus 油炸野生牛肝菌: it was the real McCoy, authentic and delicious, but the portion was very small.

Haven't paid a visit for a long time. Good part: the main bowl has become a pretty hearty bowl of noodles, more noodles than before. Bad part: you have to ask to not mix the ingredients, which doesn't taste fresh when bought to you after mixing. The chicken slices tasted especially bland, doesn't even look nor taste like chicken. The amount of meat seemed to even have decreased from the original already small portions. The broth is also not feeling as authentic as before, less thick and flavor. I didn't know that you have to go with the combination to even have enough ingredients, which added up to $22 for a bowl of noodles plus add-one. Though they seem to actually gain popularity (more customers) the quality I would say have dropped.

There are several new Crossing-Bridge Noodle opened around this area. This is our first time to try this restaurant. We came here in Sunday night and all the seats are occupied. We had such a bad experience at the first glance. Terrible organization of waiting list. We were told to wait outside the restaurant for the next table and two customers came after us. They went straight into the restaurant and got seat before us. It is not acceptable that the seat were given to someone known if you promised your customers we were the next one. Crossing Bridge Rice Noodle is normal with rich enough chicken soup favor but the portion is little bit smaller than I expected.

This place is delicious! This restaurant has been here for a while and surprised I never got the chance to try it because the food is pretty darn good. - Crossing-Bridge Rice Noodle - This is definitely my more favorite noodle dish out of the two. If you get it to-go, they automatically dump all the ingredients into the noodle soup bowl, so not the traditional version where you "cook" it by yourself. I really like how thin the meat is and also the soup is so flavorful and light. - Single Cooked Rice Noodle Soup - This is definitely the more flavorful version of the Cross-Bridge Noodle Soups. I really appreciate how many different ingredients they put into the bowl beside the noodles. The flavor is kind of a lot, so if you take it to-go, maybe add some water to dilute the flavor a bit. Overall, a delicious meal definitely will come back for more! Just a quick note that the to-go containers are $1.50 each. Should have seen that coming, but just a note in the future to bring your own pot if you don't want to pay for the container.

I think I found a perfect lunch on a hot day: the cold noodles with shredded chicken and peanuts and light vegetable . It was cool and just the perfect portion. Menu a tad difficult to navigate in English but plenty of photos available. Err on the side of caution with the spice or ask for it on the side.

The cuisine is more western China focused with the Chinese hamburger (肉夹馍) and big plate chicken (大盘鸡). Parking is ample in the plaza, and service is very fast. You can see the kitchen and its workflows from the outside, sort of like what you see at Marugame. Spoiler alert, the noodles really are handpulled and the kitchen is very clean! I ordered a Lanzhou Beef noodle soup and Chili Oil noodle. The broth in the Lanzhou noodle was very savory and perfectly seasoned. They also respected my comment for mild spicy, and it was one of the only times I drank almost all the soup since I did not taste artificial powders or too much white pepper. The Chili Oil noodle was also ordered with mild spice, and the noodles were so chewy and perfect, I can't wait to come back here already! We just wished the chili oil noodle had more meats, since there were like only a 2 or 3 slices of beef. Otherwise, portion sizes were also big for the price point, and the quality was beyond my expectations. Since it was our first time here, we were a little cautious and just ordered what we needed. But next time I'll definitely try the big plate chicken and pig ears!

There seems to have some menu change since the last time we came. We ordered 2 dry noodles and a cold spicy pig ears appetizer. The pig ears were piled up with no fillers - something hard to find these days. You can select the type of noodles so I picked the widest while my husband picked the middle one. I love the el dente texture of the noodles giving it a bit of chew. My braised pork belly dry noodles was not dry... very watery which was not to my liking. I want my dry noodles with as little gravy as possible. The flavor was light despite all the gravy, but the veggies and one egg made it up. The house special dry noodles had just the right amount of gravy for taste but not enough ingredients. I was wondering why the restaurant is called One Piece... I guess the entire bowl of noodles is one piece noodle as it was hard to eat as all the noodles are tangled. No complaints here just need to be careful with the splashes on your shirt. Overall the food was good, service was decent as we were offered actual menu instead of only using QR code to order. The place was not small with plenty of table. A bit noise as with all Chinese restaurants.

When you enter and get seated, you will be prompted to go on the url code at the table to pick your items. While I understand that this is the new way for restaurants to serve guests post-covid, the vast menu items you have to scroll through makes me long for physical menus of the past - but that's just my boomer take for the day. There were a bunch of other items like rice and noodle dishes that looked interesting to pair with the meats, but we were only craving bbq so we skipped out on the carbs. We ordered a BUNCH of skewers, from the standard beef, lamb, pork belly to chicken skin and a fried quail. All of the skewers had the same type of dried chili powder spice seasoning mix so unfortunately there wasn't too much of a diversity in flavor profile but on the flip side, it allowed us to focus more on enjoying the meat quality itself (this is where rice or noodles would definitely help cut through the richness). All of the meats were incredibly well-cooked and charred. It is on the drier side, so be aware if you are looking for a juicier, plumper cut of meat that some other restaurants have. Paired with the Chinese vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil, they were super delectable. My personal favorites were the pork belly, chicken skin, and beef. We had some leftovers to go and the staff provided us some extra sauce to go so that's a big plus. Great food here and definitely will be back to try more of the other menu items for the full experience.

I went here twice before, and I wanted to leave a review…read more The ambiance is really good, it has that contemporary Chinese flair that is popular right now and apparently also has live music (although no one was playing at the times I went). The price is really good for lunch, about $30ish per person AYCE. There is simple selections of meat including chicken, lamb, beef, the sort. And there are a decent selection of soups. I tried the Beef Tallow Spicy Sichuan one and It was really well done. They also have lobsters and other seafood upon request, and they were really well done too for the price. The sauce bar is good. It has your typical Soy Sauce, Zhejiang Vinegar, Garlic, etc. If they added a bit more different varieties that would be great, like Ponzu or Hong Kong Soy Sauce. Of the times I came here, I never really needed to order more from the original order. They always seem to put out just enough. The most important thing for me though, was that their ingredients were really good. In most places that I eat, I typically get a bit bogged down/bloated or I might get some brain fog after. After eating here, I did not get that feeling at all and I feel much more refreshed/satisfied than usual. I know this is a personal thing, but that means a lot to me. Of the things to improve upon, I think the menu does need to be a bit more clear. There is a feeling that only the side food bar is unlimited, but the rest are not. The breakfast menu does not seem very clear, as I cannot tell if this is a one time serving or if it is AYCE as well. The rear area with the self-serving also is a bit confusing. Perhaps some more frills to go with it would improve the overall experience. The other reviews stated that the service was not very good; this may have been the case before but the times I been there the wait staff has been very attentive so maybe they have been listening. Jack's Restaurant tends to eat up a lot of the attention, but this little nook in New Park is sorely needed as the mall is pretty dead inside. I will definitely come back just because I don't feel bloated after eating. Please keep up the good work and hopefully what I wrote was able to help you in your business. Thanks! 我一定會再來。謝謝!
