Solid buffet in the old Lucille's BBQ spot at the Sun Valley Mall. The food layout is pretty solid, with one area dedicated to the hibachi/Mongolian BBQ. A reasonable selection of sushi rolls, with some pieces of tuna and salmon, which I turned into a bit of poke. I stuck mostly with protein, going with the baked mussels, salt and pepper shrimp, the sweet shrimp, snow crab legs and stir fried clams. The clams were really good and were only not cleaned out because they were in a corner. The baked mussels were a little salty, but the stewed mussels were great. The sweet shrimp were just okay, but the salt and pepper shrimp were really good. Snow crab was a little water logged. Scallops with vermicelli were okay. I saw some soups but they are in a weird spot across from the sodas. I did get some self serve ice cream. What stands out here are the workers. All of the food was restocked quickly and any spills were cleaned up quickly. Our used plates and bowls were quickly cleared from our table - this is a real treat at a buffet. The food was pretty good--especially the Mongolian BBQ, prawns, and crabs. Sushi and sashimi options were limited, though. I liked that drinks were included in the entry price and self-serve, unlike most buffets. However, the cleanliness was a concern. Utensils and their holder looked dirty, and I had to wipe mine before using them. Also, the clean plates were stacked right under the food area, which felt unsanitary with all the foot traffic around. They really need to improve hygiene. read more

The restaurant atmosphere is good and the place is clean and food areas are well lighted so you can see the freshness of the dishes. Staffs are very friendly and on top of things to clear out the plates . The price is excellent considering the many choices of well prepared dishes. Came in on saturday right when they open, the host was great, i got the booth, WOW! the inside, the decor, spoons, plates are all flawless, the food is Exceptional, the oysters looklike they keep up on it, not empty. this place is not good, service and food is bad. we were a larger party but we waited for almost 2 hours and were not accommodated to sit together and were told to sit at any table (they did not walk us to a table and waived us to any open seating) no one informed us that beverages are self-service (no ice), our table was sticky and grimy and all the plates had a residue stuck to it. employees came by fast to pick up plates but stacked it ontop of each other leading to spilling leftover food juice on the ground/tables and dripped some onto the chairs. food tasted bad, there was nothing that tasted good. everything was mushy with interesting smells all over the restaurant (none of which smelled good). there are not many options outside of old seafood. the oysters had an awful smell, i almost threw up smelling it from the table next to me. the set up is bad and overcrowded with people not knowing where to go i miss tomi sushi and buffet at this mall, i will not be coming back. there is so much to fix here i would not recommend read more

The ambience is nice, service, attendance, or very attentive and the food is worth the $30 for all you can eat! Food is freshly cooked, meaning there isn't so much out that it sits and becomes soggy and limp! The food is gone pretty quickly and they're bringing out a freshly cooked platter. read more

This is my favorite buffet place for now. Food is great, service is great, and the ambiance as well. It does get a little rowdy. Been there several times and there was a wait. Tried this place out because my wife kept seeing it pop up on her social media feeds. The price was not too shabby for an all you can eat place but my concern was always the quality when going to a buffet. I have to say that the food was pretty good. I normally stay away from sushi at these places because they always use the terrible frozen quality fish (I had a sushi restaurant for years so I know what I'm talking about lol) I was actually pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fish, don't get me wrong they do also use some frozen grade stuff like the imitation crab and stuff like that but the nigiri quality was pretty good all things considered. Maybe my expectations were too low but I just remember thinking "oh wow this is pretty good" The seafood selection was decent as well, crab legs, mussels, they had a decent selection. The ambiance is a bit crowded and there are lines of course for the Mongolian bbq, but as long as you hand the plate over, there's plant of time to grab other things, drop it off and come back to pick it up. I gave minus 1 star because they had some items that just didn't do it for me, now with a selection of that size, obviously I won't like everything, but these were the items that seemed "special" like some beef ribs and other hearty items that were just so mid level. The service was good as well, no real waitstaff but mostly people bussing tables. They were stopping by frequently to clean up plates. My family came here for my sons birthday and the food was good. I had the crab, sushi, and the coconut shrimp. They were all very good. The crab was decent, they had butter sauce and cocktail sauce which was a great addition. I also tried their fried shrimp and it was great. My husband liked their Chinese food section and he's pretty picky. No one liked the chocolate fountain but I saw a lot of people having it. I even liked the hot and sour soup. I was pleasantly surprised with the food because usually buffets can be mediocre, but this place was definitely a treat. The ambiance was nice too. Bathrooms were clean. Workers were friendly. Price was great, around $30 per person for an hour and a half and everyone got to try food that they enjoyed instead of having to eat at different restaurants for different foods. We will be back. Their dessert was ok, tasted fresh but nothing too fancy. I appreciate this place and look forward to coming back. read more

I think this place is pretty good for the price. Came here with the family for lunch and left with full stomachs. Drinks you get on your own and they have all the usual dishes you see at other Asian buffets. They had people come around often to pick up your used plates and scraps. The place is clean and the seats are comfortable. Would come again next time. read more

This was our first time dining here, and unfortunately, it didn't leave a great impression. The place was extremely crowded, and the seating arrangement felt more like a cafeteria than a restaurant. Tables were packed so tightly that we were practically elbow-to-elbow with other guests. Even the food area felt congested, making the overall experience feel claustrophobic. At one point, I saw a couple being seated right next to the receptionist area--which was surprising. I couldn't believe there was actually a table placed there. It was clearly an awkward spot, and I could tell one of them looked very uncomfortable. Unsurprisingly, they ended up moving to a different table. As for the food--it was nothing special. At $30 per person for dinner, it just didn't feel worth the price or the time. I've had better all-you-can-eat experiences in much more comfortable settings. Unless significant improvements are made, I wouldn't be surprised if this place doesn't last another year. read more

The beef in the beef and broccoli and the pork in the pork and onions tastes the same. Couldn't really taste beef or pork flavor, both kinda just taste like chicken. Had to search for plates that were not hot to use to get sushi. The plates immediately below the sushi area were quite hot. As were all others I checked, except the ones under the dessert area. Fried shrimp and fried rice had no flavor. I could go on but would rather forget. The table we were initially sat at, was just 5 feet from the restrooms, we asked to move they happily moved us. The new table we were at was so wobbly that my drink kept spilling till I took a big sip. Food was all over the floor under and around the table. And if everything before this hadn't already made up my mind not to come back, a busser dropped the dipping sauce cup on me when removing a plate. read more

I was very excited to try this place. In the beginning of sitting down and eating my food I was very happy with everything until I began to feel horrible in the stomach. I had to go to the bathroom immediately and let's just say it wasn't a good experience. I was also struggling on the way home. I know it was their Food because it was the only thing I ate all day. We saw a new buffet place so thought to give it a try. It used to be Lucille the BBQ restaurant. We went for Friday lunch $20.99/person. There was a waitlist system that's available at Yelp.com. It was very crowded but the wait was not that bad. Well, to my disappointment I rated this place a 2 star. The food was bland and not tasty. Crawfish was not seasoned, chicken wings were bland, steamed corn was bland, tilapia was super sweet, and other food that was not seasoned/bland. The stir fry broccoli beef was the only dish that was decent. This place was so packed because it's new and located in the mall. If you want to eat tastier buffet food go to China Wall. They are so much cheaper and food selections are more to choose from. I definitely won't go back. Tried once and it's good enough. read more
