Towards the end of our Westfield Century City Mall food court adventure, I wanted to get something for my youngest daughter. She loves teriyaki chicken with soba noodles. FUWA Teriyaki Grill fit the bill. Walked over here and was the first one in line. They weren't super busy. Young lady staff was friendly and pleasant. She took my order in a jiffy. Got one Teriyaki Chicken Plate with soba noodles ($1 extra for noodles). Pricing was a tad higher by $2+ compared to other teriyaki places. Chicken was perfectly grilled in good portions. Noodles were firm, but bigger portions would have been better. I noticed the older lady packing the veggies and noodles to be a bit stingy with the portions. I saw her putting some back into the pan. Hmmm? After taking my order back to the table, I opened the container. I noticed there weren't much teriyaki sauce with the chicken. I walked back over here to ask for a container of sauce. Young lady was nice to give it. Thank you Miss! Per my daughter, the whole plate was good. No complaints. Coming from her, it's a good thing because she's a picky eater. After shopping we went to the food court for a quick bite. We opted for Fuwa. They were offering samples of the chicken teriyaki and it was pretty good. We ordered 2 bento boxes - one with chicken teriyaki and the other with beef teriyaki. Both under $13! The bento comes with 2 potstickers, 3 California rolls, salad and rice. I was surprised how big the portions were! The chicken teriyaki was slightly better than the beef because it had more flavor. The California rolls were just ok as were the potstickers and salad. The meats were tender and again the chicken just had more flavor and more of a grilled taste. Wish there was more sauce for the rice. Service was good and since it's in the food court there was plenty of seating. But for the price it's totally worth it! read more

My order was completed very quickly and the portion was big and at a good value for $11.99. The chicken and shrimp was moist, nicely charred, and had good teriyaki flavor. The side veggies and fried rice were okay. They were mid on their own, but paired nicely with the meat. The only thing I didn't like was how oily and greasy the food was. There was a pool of grease and oil at the bottom of my to-go box which wasn't appetizing. The service was good and they gave me a water cup upon request. Overall, a decent experience here. This is a good option of you're looking for a cheap spot with large portion sizes at the Century City Mall. read more

So happy to have found this gem in the Century City mall food court!! For only $12, I got this huge plate of delicious food enough for two meals!! The chicken and shrimp teriyaki plate comes with rice and mixed vegetables - I subbed for fried rice for an extra fee. They also have noodles and appetizers. Fuwa is located in the center city food court upstairs on the second floor. The workers here is super friendly and sweet! The value for what you get is amazing! As you can see from the photos, they really pack the food! The flavor is definitely more of a Japanese cuisine rather than Chinese! My friend got a pencil box which was really nice because it's a good mix of greens and crunchiness! It's a steal compared to other stands in the food court that are charging at least $15-20 for a plate. You get a huge portion of deliciously cooked chicken, rice and vegetables. They also have other combos such as shrimp and chicken available. The service is extremely fast and the staff are so nice - they're very accommodating when I make requests such as asking for more vegetables instead of rice and it's run by a hard working team. It's was New Year's Day. Most places were closing early in the mall. I kindly asked then if they were still open the lady at the cook station said "yes". That simple yes was a lifesaver for my kids. They were hungry and grouchy. I ordered the daily special-chicken and shrimp, and a katsu bento. Out of the two dishes I liked the katsu more, the sauce on top was yummy and the katsu was thin and crispy. The way I like. Most of the food spots here are big chains. I am always eating here. I am at this mall pretty often and FUWA is one of the most frequent places I eat from at the food court. The food here is always good and fresh. I also think it's a family business because every time I go it's the same people working there and they are always very nice and polite. The guy working the register even remembered me and my order which felt kind of nice lol. I am from Hawaii, and I absolutely love this place! I found it when I first moved here, three years ago, and have been coming ever since. It's really Japanese home food away from hom in the shops at liberty Place. I can't wait to try it. ! e. The food is always fresh and I love that you can watch the chef cook in front of you on the grill! I can't even believe that they're in a mall the prices are amazingly reasonable, and the portions are great. My favorite is the teriyaki chicken plate, but when I'm hungry, I get a side of chicken Katsu, which is also like home cooked I can't believe the teriyaki chicken is under $10. Look at my picture the portions are huge lol I think they did get carried away a little bit tonight, I went in as they were closing. I got really lucky. :) they ARE really nice there though, it's such a pleasure to see them! My food was very fresh. The chicken was tenderly cooked to perfection. I really liked the hot sauce. Not the ones in the package but the one inside a large plastic container.
