I enjoy the Fuzzy's location in Arlington on a weekly basis. This one in Carrollton is not as well run. There is a persistent fishy smell, and has been present each time I have been at this location. Not a fan of this chain. The tacos are just OK, no real thrill to them whatsoever. The Charo beans have too much of a vinegar taste and they out way too much beer in the juice of the beans. I guess if you prefer a more bland tex-mex then this place is perfect for you. read more

This is not a healthy choice I looked at the nutritional facts on their web page and holy cow- if I'm going to take in a 600 calorie salad it better be worth it and it's not but when friends want to eat there it's the only option I only eat half of it. It doesn't taste better than a bagged salad from the grocery store, nothing to say yum about. It seems the last 6 months anything shredded on the salad tastes like tuna - yes everything shredded gross! OMG. What a dump! Visited here at 3PM last Sunday. Two other customers inside. Four employees yapping at the food pickup counter and too busy to notice me. Had to wait at the food order counter for over two minutes for someone to show up. Ordered a combo plate with large ice tea - except no ice in the front machine and had to ask the clerk to get some from the back, then told refills were $1.25! Food: rather bland. Portions: about child size. Seating: horrible wood benches with badly angled backs and no cushions. Dirty, dirty, dirty. Could not wait to finish and leave, so I gulped my drink and dumped the rest of the food rather than upset my stomach. I do not see the appeal of this place. Kind of a hybrid Joe's Crab Shack and Taco Bell, but none of the charm (Joe's) or decent size tasty portions at a reasonable price (Bell). Fuzzy's? Off MY menu. BTW - the photos that Yelp suggests? Lately just about every to-go order we've gotten from here has been wrong -- and we USED to order from this Fuzzy's a lot (restaurants in North Carrollton are hard to find)! Decided to give them another try tonight -- same old thing. 10 minute drive there, 10 minute drive back times 2 to get the rest of our order, and then there was no dressing for the salads. This is the WORST Fuzzys I have ever been to. This location isnt owned by the one in Frisco and you can tell the difference. The food is not the same and doesnt taste the same. I have been to this location 3 times and all 3 times were a fail. Dont think you will get the fast service or the drink specials at this location either. The tacos I just picked up today on lunch were so hard my dogs wouldnt eat them. Too bad i didnt eat there. The people that work here are not polite and are there for a pay check. Their menu items are different as well. No 1/2 salads that the other ones offer. Lets just say I will not be back to this Fuzzys and will continue to go to the one in Frisco. Amazing tacos! I ordered one spicy pork soft shell taco, and one special ground beef taco, and found the mix of fresh spice and veggies really made the flavor pop. I'm from the Pacific Northwest, and am sad to think I will have to forego this place until my next visit. Tonight I decided to place an order for pick up and I am so thrilled that I did. Morgan took my order and walked through each side with such a joy in her voice. You can sincerely tell she loves her job, and stands behind anything she sells on the line. I am a believer of always ordering from one that sounds like they have a smile on the other end of the line, and I could tell she was smiling. She was so patient while I ordered and repeated it back to make sure my order was perfect. I ordered the fried Mahi Mahi tacos as my aunt always made the most flavorful fried Mahi in Key West. We picked up the order, and when taking the first bite, it brought me immediately to my childhood memory. The entire plate was beyond delicious, cooked to perfection, and was well beyond my expectation. Due to the perfection of the customer service, the execution of my dish, and perfection of my order this is my new go to place for a delicious affordable meal. I've lived in Carrollton for 14 years and have heard positive hype about Fuzzy's Tacos lately. My daughter and I dined at the Josey Lane location, Sunday night, and the overall experience was 'blecky'. For a bad-taste starter, my credit/debit card was "declined" after non-functional swipes and, then, manual entry at the cash register. I asked if he'd tried both credit and debit and he said he had, though he had not. My daughter swooped in and offered her card to just move quickly, but the cashier 'eyeballed' both of us--and our debit cards--like we were criminals, in the process. We'd previously checked out the menu, online, and decided the chips-and-queso appetizer was a must. The queso was just as pretty as in the photo, but of a surprising, skim-milk consistency. My daughter had chicken chilaquiles; I had pork, soft tacos. Both were dry and flavorless (as were the refried beans), but her potatoes were also ridiculous, tiny, rock-like, black-charred bits (in contrast to the clearly-newer potatoes I got). As a non-bonus, when it came to to-go containers, the ones we got off of the top of the large stack available at the end of the aisle had someone else's food remnants in them, though they'd been neatly added back to the stack--and the same cashier offered us both oddly-smirk-marked questions about our experience on our way out the door. In short, the food was well-below Taco-Cabana level and the service from this particular cashier was unnecessarily snarky. I was sorry I'd visited and won't return. read more

I love Fuzzy's but this location can be hit or miss. Sometimes the rice is undercooked and when they say they close at 10pm they apparently mean 9:30 because they shut off the fryer and start putting up chairs while we eat. They also tend to run out of margaritas. Open until 10 should actually mean OPEN. Love their queso and chips! read more

I had a garlic shredded beef sandwich and couldn't have been more pleased. They put a plentiful amount of meat on the sandwich and it had great flavor. The hot sauce is also awesome and is worth going back just for the hot sauce. I didn't care too much for the potatoes that came with my sandwich but it didn't matter as the sandwich was so large and piled with meat that I wouldn't have eaten the side item no matter how good it was. Sadly, the other Fuzzy's location I have eaten at was quite the opposite so I want to be clear that my review of Fuzzy's is specific to this location only. read more

Fuzzy's is a good place for a cheap date as long as alcohol isn't involved. Guacamole is really good. Portions are very inconsistent though. I've ordered the big shredded chicken salad three times and every time I get it its a different size, sometimes the bowl is heaping, sometimes it's half full, sometimes you get a lot of chicken other times not so much... Not much selection on salsas, I'll go to taco cabana for that, but overall the food is good and well priced. It's always clean. Staff is nothing to write home about. They take your order and you get your meal which works for me. Also their mango tea is amazing! read more

Not a fan of Fuzzy's at all. They give you hot sauce instead of salsa (thumbs down) and what's with the feta cheese? The rice tastes like it came straight out of a box or premade/prepackaged and just heated to serve. The rice and beans are usually over salted as well. The only thing I like from Fuzzy's are the chips and queso. If you're wanting some decent homemade Tex-Mex/Mex, head East about 2.5 miles to Marsh and Rosemeade. There's a new place, Azucenas, that opened not too long ago. I'm not saying Azucenas is 5 stars, but it's so much better than Fuzzy's for similar prices. read more
