The only good thing about this place was the atmosphere. It was busy and busteling during the lunch rush. They had sports on all the TVs and it flet like a great little dive. I was excited walking in. They excitement ended there. I ordered the steak enchilada plate and my husband got a steak burrito. We opted to start with the queso since other people had raved about it on Yelp. The queso was bland. It was defiantly not worth paying for. My enchiladas were two small flour tortillas with steak inside and sour cream on top. There was no enchilada sauce. They were inedible and incredibly pricey for the junk I got. The black beans on the side were more liquid than beans and again had no flavor. The rice had plenty of flavor. Unfortunately, it was all salt. I didn't know this is the original fuzzy's! The staff is always great. My usual is the pork salad, but i get it without chips, and woth extra meat/cheese. My order is never wrong, and the staff is always friendly, even if they're crazy busy! The atmosphere is nice. Feeling lunch? Lots of students, lots of life. Going more for dinner? You can expect some families... and a bunch of students stopping for a beer and some awesome tacos. I can't help but come here 3-4 times a week. Divine tacos with feta on top. I got the garlic chicken and tempura fish. The tempura was so fluffy and perfect. The shredded chicken was delicious. Nice juicy tomatoes and fresh lettuce. You can order soft or hard shell tacos. We got the hard shell, and they were wonderful. We also shared some nachos, and despite my lack of enthusiasm for this Texas queso stuff, that plate was pretty damn good. Love the atmosphere, too. Booths are cramped, but that's just fine. It's right near campus, so the crowds are lively and loud. Great place to go watch a game and drink some beer, if you can get a seat. read more

Fuzzy's beef nachos are delicious ! Fuzzy's use to have a cookie called the "cowboy cookie" and for some reason they no longer have them . Wow, Fuzzy's sure is growing quick and for good reason! Fuzzys is amazing, at least the one in Ft. Worth. I have been to a few others, and they lack the atmosphere that makes Fuzzy's so great. They are too tame. Schooners of beer are cheaply priced, which makes Fuzzy's a great place to pre-game for any outting. Whether it be before a game, hitting the bars, or just to see where the night goes, Fuzzy's is the perfect place to drink and get a delicious base of food for your exciting night. The food is better than decent for what you pay (you're paying $1.99 for a taco, stop crying). I always try and shy away from shrimp/fish at mexican restaurants, but not at Fuzzy's! The shrimp tacos are the best. If you're complaining that the food isn't good, then you are missing the point. It's all about the atmosphere and good times, though the food is pretty darn good too. Fuzzy's has great food, and normally great people. However, tonight a friend and I went in and were treated horribly by the manager, Sheree was her name. My friend and I are both over the age of 21 and ordered margaritas. They scanned our IDs which is fine, but my friends real Florida ID was denied. The manager then preceded to come out and tell her ID was fake even though she presented two forms and it was in fact real. She then threatened me that if I shared my margarita with my friend that she would kick us out. I questioned her attitude and asked if she was the manager when she decided to start screaming in our faces. I told her we would no longer be needing our food since we would be leaving if she was going to treat her customers that way. She then preceded to put her arms in my face and wave "bye" in an extremely rude way. I asked for corporates number so I could make a formal complaint and she said "you can find it online now leave". I am disgusted that a manager would treat a customer this way. The cashier was more respectful and kind to the customers then the manager was. Another girl who was also of age approached us as we were leaving and told us her ID had also been denied. Fix your machines and train your managers on how to interact with customers. read more

Poor management! I have been to this location 3 times in the last 6 months. The first time I waited for a to go order for 30 minutes. I really do not know what was taking so long- it was for nachos. The second time was a Friday night, we waited in line while one cashier took orders, apparently this was the only person working because he had to go deal with a bathroom issue before taking the order of the group in front of us. And then a "phone in" order took precedence, so we left. And the third time we went in to a long line and a horrendous odor of sewage and I remembered the last visit and said no thank you! Though I noted as we left a large group also leaving before ordering because it was taking too long. I remember when this Fuzzy's was a great go to- the manager was moving about the restaurant and jumping on the register if the line got too long. Went to schools in the area so Fuzzys is a staple and a must. (Especially this original one.) Good place for late night hunger. I will say though that I feel their quality of food has gone down a little bit in recent years. But I've eaten from the entire menu at this point and there is nothing I don't like. I've been here a couple of times and each time it has been jam packed. If you're a fan of big crowds that consist entirely of TCU kids give it a go. The quality of the food here depends on what you order. Tacos are a safe bet but the chips and queso are a good appetizer which unusually is made of white cheese instead of yellow. A welcome change. 3 stars for grilled veggie tacos and tasty queso, 2 stars for atmosphere. If you can get past the mind-numbingly vapid TCU students that dominate the place and their frustratingly identical leggings, Nike running shorts and "insert sorority here" sweatshirts, the food is pretty good and very reasonably priced. The grilled fish taco has a nice char, good flavor and comes with cheese, garlic sauce and lettuce and tomato. The grilled veggie is also delicious with crunchy julienned veggies like carrots and zucchini and black beans, onion and tomato, both for $1.99. The breakfast tacos are also delicious (nice, crispy bacon, none of that translucent flabby stuff) though sometimes they've been a little too egg-y, less bacon-y and also a deal at $1.99. The queso has a great flavor and is made with real cheese and not velvetta and rotel. The chips also come coated in a salty seasoning that gives them a little extra punch. Also, avoid ordering draft beer, it is served in these huge, heavy, prone to sloshing schooners that look cool but just turn out to be a pain in the ass. It's also open late which is a plus. All in all, nice tacos, good prices and irritating clientele. Lines here are often long, but they quickly. However, sometimes when they're out the door I just call in a to go order while in line and then grab a table outside to circumvent that process all together. read more

The OG Fuzzy's... gotta love it. You know, Fuzzy's is consistent. Food is always the same, you know what you're going to get and it's inexpensive and tasty. I'm going to go ahead and give a shout out to the Garlic Shredded Beef, both in use in the tacos and in the Large Salad! I love the shredded beef salad. When I first visited Fuzzy's in 2006, the idea of shredded beef on a salad was !! ick !! but I learned quickly that you add a little of that delicious house dressing (some sort of Greek Vinagrette, I'd say) and it's a great large meal with a healthy serving of veggies and some good protein too. Additionally, I love Fuzzy's queso. It's a white, thicker, creamy queso and in collaboration with their thin chips, it's a great match. Lastly--- the Butt Burnin' Sauce. It's tangy, it's hot. I love it. Go to Fuzzy's... the only bad thing I can say, is that sometimes there is a yucky smell. Just eat... you won't notice it. read more

Fuzzy's has been one of my favorite haunts for years. It is opens early and stays hopping until late. Their queso is a must and the baja tacos are all I ever get. I will say I am also a fan of the breakfast tacos when the situations warrant. My friends have ordered nachos, and some of their traditional plates, which also were reportedly very good. This place is awsome. Why?? Large salads and fish tacos! They put fetta chease in everything, and it adds such a great kick. The chips and salsa is fantastic. Grilled shrimp salad is a must try...go grilled or tempura for the fish tacos, but get the plate (rice and beans) since the tacos aren't sizeable. The service here is just OK. Lady at register last couple of times is pretty unhappy to be there, and past few times the amount of fish in the tacos has been sparse, but other than that, this is one of my favorite places in FW. Good area over by TCU, although bummer Panther City Coffee closed. Park by Sovereign bank since street parking is often taken. read more
