Great food and great service. We ordered breakfast tacos and they were full and made with fresh ingredients.

At first I wasn't impressed with Fuzzy's taco because everything always came out lukewarm. They have since improved on that one part, and now, I love Fuzzy's taco. Any time I come here, I order the fajita beef salad, I love the way the beef is seasoned here. If you are in a taco mood, their shrimp and seasoned beef tacos are really good. And if you love queso, their queso is so good here. Service is good, and it's quick and reasonably priced. Anytime I'm in the area, I must stop by for a quick bite to eat. My favorite thing about this place and all other Fuzzy's is the borracho beans, I mean they are amazing! I usually get the chicken enchilada plate or the taco plate, they are both good. They have a soda fountain machine so you can get as much ice and soda as you like (which is always a positive thing for me). The service has always been good when I come here, so no complaints about that. They have an outside sitting area, but if it's cold, I wouldn't recommend it. I was shocked by the irresponsibility of this restaurant and lack of care for customers. Not one employee had a mask or gloves on. The kitchen staff did not have masks either. There was no social distancing and 100% of the restaurant tables were available not the required 50%. I felt very unsafe and will not be returning. read more

I've witnessed the growth of Fuzzys's for over 11-12 years. Ever since the Plano location opened up, I liked Fuzzy's Taco Shop. 12 years later, I'm still in love, I do wish that the MIX MEX rice and Borracho Beans would be brought back. This "Fuzzys Rice" is not good, and many other people think so. This location has been amazing, good customer service, especially on Saturday and Sunday's in the mornings. But overall this location is amazing. I recommend coming in Saturday and Sundays. You can get pretty good deals at Fuzzys if you know what you're doing. (Hint) Breakfast packs. I really don't have complaints about the food. It's a taco shop, and with all the rave reviews I admit that my expectations might have been a little out of whack, which could have led to the fact that I was not overly impressed with the flavor in the breakfast tacos I grabbed. I am a person who really does enjoy tacos, and I think these are done well, but nothing different than many of the other taco shops/stands/carts in the DFW area. They just aren't that unique to me. The only good thing was the beer. Hubby got the tempura fish tacos and he took one bite and said Gordon's, His sides were the refried beans and rice. He hated the entire meal. I got the shredded beef on hard shells. The first time I ate at Fuzzy's Taco I got food poisoning after eating the burrito with shredded chicken. I tried Fuzzy's again (after many years) as a group of friends were meeting there. First, customer service sucks. Second, I got the cheese enchiladas. The queso is horrible. Very stringy. My child got the chicken sticks. It was disgusting. I def will not be back. Gross! read more

I'm not going to cover the food so much as the service. This is the best Fuzzy's location I have visited. The food is consistently great, correct, and servers quickly. Everyone is very polite and helpful. I generally never have to clear my own table as the staff does that for you unless they are really busy. As far as food I think everyone is familiar enough with Fuzzy's. My favorite is the California Heat Tacos. Give them a try if you like it hot! read more

Came here for breakfast tacos! My husband and sister in law told me about this place and how good their breakfast tacos were, so I thought heh, why not!? I got the egg and cheese with chorizo and potato breakfast taco and it was phenomenal!! I had the intention to take a picture before I ate my tacos but it smelled so good that it enhanced my appetite! Sorry guys! They do have the butt burning hot sauce at each table which went well with the tacos! It's not really spicy in my opinion, it has a little bit of heat but it has a lot of flavor which complimented the tacos. I bought two tacos under estimating the size and wish I just got one. They are generously portioned and they were not shy on the chorizo! This place doesn't seem to be busy during the breakfast time so definitely come and try it out for a quick bite or come and enjoy a breakfast margarita! It's 5 o'clock somewhere right??! read more

Having never been to a Fuzzy's or not knowing much about it; I was thinking it would feel and look like Taco Cabana which is why I was never in a huge rush to get there. While I do like Taco Cabana (most of the time), I wouldn't really compare the two now that I've been to both. They are both Mexican, so what?! The look of this place really fun and casual; divey almost - chalkboard menu, plenty of seats (high tables, booths and low tables) both indoor and outdoor and loads of beer garb along the walls. Fuzzy's offers a handful of beers, rita's AND Corona-Ritas, um what?! A recent discovery since we moved to Texas and I usually feel the need to try them every place that serves them. I like to think I am making up for the lost time with these bad-boys! Sadly, I did not try one this trip, but will for sure next time! The Hubs and I both ordered a chicken taco plate, mine with cilantro-lime rice and re-fried beans and his with latin fried potatoes and re-fried beans. I was a bit skeptical of the way the tacos were prepared (garlic sauce, cilantro, and feta) but I rolled with and I am sure glad I did! Seriously Good. My buddy likes this place. I opted for the chicken enchiladas at $6.50 as she'd just had them and liked them. By the time I finished doctoring them up with pico, grilled bell peppers and onions on top, and a side of guacamole...my tab came to $17 with a drink. These 2 enchiladas were not worth it. The avocado cream sauce was salty; the texture was more like lumpy old gravy than a smooth avocado cream sauce. The overall meal was still pretty flavorless after all the doctoring up. I've been coming to this location for years and have noticed the quality go down for a while now. It used to be consistently good but it's become hit or miss. I've had multiple orders, both dine-in and take-out be disappointing. There's been many times where food was completely cold, stale chips, small portions(like 3 tiny shrimp on a grilled shrimp taco), missing ingredients, and food made very sloppily. I have been to several Fuzzy's. I find they are hit and miss as far as quality and consistency. This one was at the lower end of the rating scale. It was not dirty but it was also not clean. Somewhere in that area where you wonder about the overall sanitary conditions. When you see the gal wiping down each table with the same dirty towel I wonder how clean can my table top be. When you go to the counter to pick up food and realize they are putting it onto trays that still have food scraps from the previous user, it makes me wonder about the overall culture of the employees. After looking at the sanitary conditions it was difficult to get enthused about the food. Our order was incorrect but we just accepted it the way it was so we could leave. read more

I'd been wanting to try this place for a while now because my mother-in-law told me that they had great breakfast tacos, but I take her advice with a grain-of-salt, to be honest. So I woke up last Saturday and was STARVING and decided to give it a shot. I looked up their menu online to see what they had and liked the fact that they served both breakfast and lunch items at 7am. I had the breakfast taco combo and chose one Chorizo Egg & Cheese taco and one Potato Egg & Cheese taco with their potatoes and refried beans as the two sides. Everything tasted great. My favorite were the potatoes because they were kinda like I make them at home, cubed, kinda crispy on the outside, but tender in the middle with a little salt on the outside. Refried beans were good, tacos had a perfect mix of cheese-to-egg ratio. The hubster had Shrimp Tempura Crispy tacos w/habanero sauce and refried beans. I also have gone back once since then and tried these and loved them. I love that they put cilantro and the feta cheese (which I normally don't like) go well in this combination. Tacos were crispy, not soggy after a 10 minute drive home. Service was good and they were efficient. Just a couple notes: 1. I love that they have those large reusable plastic cups to go. (I know this is minor, but honestly, I can't think of too many places that use these now days) 2. The "habanero" sauce smells like it's vicious, but it totally is NOT. It's a "gringo" spicy, if you know what I mean. But I would totally take this over nasty Tabasco sauce any day. I would recommend to try at least once and you'll either love it or hate it. Ok I have been to several Fuzzy's and this one is the worst of them not because of the food but because of the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. This is the first Fuzzy's where my sneakers have stuck to the floor. It was like walking in a tar pit. Yummy! This is a great place to sit on the patio and unwind after a long work day. I usually get the Grilled Shrimp Big Salad with Avocado Ranch Dressing. I am a lettuce snob, so a salad's lettuce must be fresh and not wilted at all or I will not eat it. The greens are crisp and they use romaine lettuce. I've also had the shrimp enchiladas which are really good. I like the sauce that comes on it. Good quality food at a good price. read more

Fuzzy's tacos are crack tacos. The first time I ate at Fuzzy's, I came back 6 times in three days....Crack Tacos. I don't know what it is about those things that make them so addicting. I almost had to go to counseling o.O. They have so many different choices for meats (chicken, pork, shrimp, CRAWFISH, fish etc) and different ways you can get them (habanero, soft, hard..) and they're baja style so they come with feta, cilantro, lettuce, tomato and other yummy deliciousness. I have never met a Fuzzy's taco that I dint thoroughly enjoy. And they're cheap too! I've also tried their breakfast. The tacos are pretty good but I wasn't too impressed by the platters- they were kinda runny and not incredibly flavorful but other than that, I am a true Fuzzy's fanatic! read more

Tempura fish taco (these tacos make it in my top 3 list for fish tacos) Shredded pork taco (super flavorful and have a nice mild spiciness to them) Get them both. Your belly will be happy. I get them with flour tortillas. Tip: don't bother getting a platter. Sides are alright but lackluster. The chips suck, but the queso is good. I used to get it until I saw the ingredients list. Went here on a Saturday evening. I think it's somewhere in the middle of the road here. I know it's a chain, but it's a bit better than some other ones (I'm looking at you, Taco John's!). The folks at the counter were friendly and patient with me, so that was good. We had takeout for a group--a taco salad, and I think some burritos, and I had beef tacos and some beans (yes, that's boring, I know). Not bad. It was a cold (for Texas) November night, but it had a pretty good crowd there. We waited probably seven minutes or so for our order to be done. There was some confusion at the pick up window as to which bags were ours (as opposed to the guy who ordered right after us). So, we kind of had to root around in the bags to make sure we had the right stuff, but things were okay. In a pinch, this isn't bad--they have a range of choices, not just tacos and burritos, so you're likely to find something you like there. And, it had good prices too. I actually like Fuzzy's! I love that they have a nice outdoor patio with fans. I like that it seems like an ordinary taco shop, yet I can get a beer or margarita. My husband got the tempura fish tacos on soft tortillas, and they were great. No aspect of the taco was undeserving of praise, the ingredients were fresh and bright. His sides were the borracho beans and the mexican rice. The borracho beans were smoky tasting and the rice was average, but good, tasting rice. I got the fajita chicken taco salad with avocado ranch dressing. The chicken was well cooked and tasted good. The salad was nicely put together and everything looked lovely. My daughter got the three-cheese queso and chips. (It was sooo good!) She had it with some of the chicken from my salad because I had extra. The restaurant was clean, not too loud and tv's were abundant. The employees were helpful and friendly. Overall, not 5-star quality tacos. But better than average and I didn't leave wanting. I was super excited to have this place come to McKinney because I had heard a lot about it from friends that have gone to other locations in the DFW area and have said it was phenom. The 1st time I tried it was the morning after a drink-a-thon with my friend... All I can say is that Fuzzy's is the #1 hangover food. And HAIR OF THE DOG- you can have a beer or yummy margarita. The sides tasted pretty darn good too. We devoured the tacos and even bought a couple to bring home to the hubby- who wasn't impressed. I decided to go once again a few weeks ago-not hung over- and it was a totally different experience. the food tasted kind of old and icky and make me queasy after eating two beef/feta tacos. The man that appears to be the lead line cook is unhappy and he makes sure you know it. In an open kitchen, this is restaurant suicide. The majority of our food was cold; the "Latin" potatoes were ice cold. There appeared to be ZERO effort. The food is always great and I will always continue to visit as long as it stays that way. The staff on the other hand is not so great. The teenage girl at the counter seems to have a little attitude but its nothing compared to the Manager. She seems to hate being there.
