The location really cannot be more perfect for dinner before or after seeing a movie across the street. We had been to Ted's and Delia's on prior trips to the movies, so we decided to try someplace new. I was surprised how many tables were in the restaurant at 6:30pm and the people steadily came in throughout our meal. The decor, I must say, stands out from the "typical" Thai restaurant and reminded me of a temple or museum exhibit. There is a rather extensive (for a Thai restaurant) drink menu, and they have sushi if you choose to go that route. I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken and my husband the pad thai with pork. Our food was out within 10-15 minutes of ordering. Portions were large and protein in each meal was plentiful. I forced myself to finish although I was stuffed after clearing 3/4 of the plate because I knew we could not take leftovers since we were seeing a movie after. Drunken noodles should be spicy and these were, although I would have preferred about one notch higher on the spice scale. I give them kudos because too often at places I order drunken noodles, and they are delivered without an ounce of spice. The noodles were well cooked, and I found them very easy to pick up with the chopsticks without getting too messy. My husband asked for the pad thai to be spicy and it, indeed, had a spicy kick that was definitely a creeper. Service was as expected, as was the price. It was the time I'd eaten here. I had the Crispy Duck Salad and herb rolls. The duck was perfectly seasoned and fried. The crust did not come off even after being in the salad dressing and didn't become soggy. Although the duck was fried, the salad was still light. I'll come back just for the salad. This place is horrible. I ordered the 15+ dollar Mexican roll which is supposed to have shrimp in it... there was the TINIEST amount in there. This should have been called the cucumber and avocado crunch roll. I have never disliked sushi until now. I get that this is a Thai place but if you're going to do this bad of a job, take the sushi off your menu or reduce the price. Terrible terrible Second time going for the lunch special. The worst lunch special deal ever. Menu says you get gyoza and miso soup with the lunch specials (picture attached). Lol they give you one mini gyoza and a sample of the soup. I love my neighborhood Thai restaurant! The ambiance is very intimate and relaxing. Great for solo dining, or a romantic dinner for two. The service has always been very attentive when I dine in. Wife and I stopped here for dinner after catching a movie at the AMC. We were seated right away and the waiter came right over to take our drink orders. I ordered the Crispy Duck and my wife had the shrimp and noodles. My duck was superb, crispy and very juicy in the middle, it had was accompanied with a great sauce that had a nice little kick to it. We decided on Thai food and ordered papaya salad, Pad Thai, and green curry. The papaya salad came first and was bright and fresh. The Pad Thai and green curry came out shortly after and was pretty good. It was flavorful but nothing about the dish stood out to me. Service was ok throughout our meal; it seemed like they were overwhelmed and it wasn't that busy in my opinion. I've been to this restaurant many times over the years, great tasting food, nice staff and quick service before catching a movie or at lunch. Today I used seemless to order for delivery, my first time, what nonsense? The lemongrass soup was watered down, with literally one shrimp and 8 quarter mushrooms. Are you serious? For $7.25? I've had this soup here before, never tasted this bad. Couldn't drink it, had to throw it. I also ordered vegetarian drunken noodles (accidentally instead of chicken ). There were literally 3 small pieces of tofu, very little food, and almost raw green beans. But was spicy once you actually mix everything. The worst delivery food I've ever had. So disappointed. Just bad. The most tasteless Thai that I've ever encountered. Ordered the Phi Phi Island. The sauce almost seemed to be ketchup-based. Tasted more like Campbell's tomato soup than a spicy Thai sauce. Skewered shrimp was completely unseasoned. The scallops were under-cooked, almost raw. And perhaps most disturbing, there were 4-5 pieces of broccoli that were obviously previously frozen...which were barely thawed/most cold. The stem of the last piece was still a little frozen. The service was terrible. Everyone at our table received their meals at different times. One person didn't get their meal at all and had to go ask for it after the rest of us had already finished. I ate here this week and ordered a red curry shrimp. The food was pretty good, and everything tasted very fresh including the shrimp. I was a little disappointed in the size of the portion, I thought there should have been maybe 25% more vegetables included. Oh how I have been craving some Thai food; however, I had my doubts about this little spot for some time. One of my friends had said that it was meh, but I should have listened to Yelp instead. This is a solid 4 star Thai experience all day long. I ordered a seaweed salad and a green pork curry that had me asking, "Where have you been all my life, delicious?" The Green Thai Curry brought back memories of dishes that I have experienced in Chang Mai and many villages down the coast. The service was fine, but my only complaint was that the restaurant's phone would not stop ringing. It ruined what would otherwise been a pleasant dinning experience. Galae Thai hosted our son's birthday party, and it was great. He and several of his friends, all aged ~9-10 years old (plus one five year old), were going to watch a movie at the theater, and we wanted to find somewhere nearby to do dinner and birthday cake afterwards. Galae Thai was easy to work with and accommodating. It was an excellent experience. We had 3 trays (pad thai, pad see eiw, and fried rice) as well as a couple panang curry plates. Everyone enjoyed the meal greatly. The tray sizes were way more generous than we had imagined, and we had a lot of leftovers. The prices were very fair, and the food was great. The service was excellent, and they were very nice. They allowed us to bring in a cake and brought it out for us when the time was right. They even put candles on it for us. I would highly recommend this place for birthday parties, especially if you're trying to incorporate a movie night. The AMC theater next door, for some reason, doesn't have a specific option to do birthday parties, so this is a good way to plan to serve the birthday cake and so forth. read more

My first time to this restaurant...it was OK. It's intresting that they bill themselves as a Thai AND a sushi restaurant. Went for lunch on a Saturday. We had the Larb Gai and the Tom Khai Gai soup. The larb gai was so so...really not too much flavor. They add lime juice and sprigs of mint but it didn't really add that much to the flavor. The soup was quite good, slices of chicken and mushrooms in a coconut milk broth...it was very flavorful. The restaurant was very slow for an early Sat lunch. We had very good service. I come here all the time since it's near my office and a great central location for many of my business/personal lunches. The lunch specials are always fast, so you're never stuck waiting for your food. I personally love the Pad Thai and Panang Curry. It's authentic, but they will customize it for your taste if you ask. Every lunch special comes with soup and dumplings, so you definitely leave full. The decor is great and lots of fun for individual or couples meals.
