It was great, all of it from the cheese sticks to the poppers, onion rings, zucchini, even the chicken was good. I was impressed by it, then the patty melt arrives, looks great, no taste, like no actual taste, onion bland, burger patty was just that, a plain patty no seasoning just a slab of ground beef. The marble rye looks spectacular but no flavor. How?! How is that possible, I'm still questioning the ability to achieve such a feat. We got their cinnamon roll, which the icing was excellent, but the roll itself was nothing at all. Just a basic store bought roll. I eat here every time I m in town. Usually, it's been a pretty good experience. It's not world class cuisine but it will cure hunger. However, this last visit on Mothers Day not so much. Service was slow, we had to ask twice to get flatware and we didn't get it until after our food arrived. We sat for a good five minutes watching our food cool down before we finally got our server's attention. When I paid the check the manager asked if everything was alright with our visit. I told her it had been better. She said she'd talk to her staff. So who knows. Don't think I'll be back any time soon. read more

Visiting from out of town and boy was I impressed. Super fun decor and cozy seating; galaxy diner delivers! We had the chicken fried steak and the breading was perfect with a great crunch. The diner spuds were fire! Definitely recommend them. My sausage was moist and well seasoned, the biscuits and gravy soft with the right amount of thickness. We almost didn't go to this place based on the other reviews I'd seen...but thank goodness we did! It was absolutely fantastic and had everything you could want in a kitschy diner. The ice cream sodas were just right and the zucchini fries were a pleasant surprise. We liked it so much, we came back the following evening! Stopped by for lunch and a celebratory sundae for our 7 year grandson. He had just finished his first day of second grade! Our server, Jolie, was incredible from the moment we sat down! High energy! Great smile. She engaged with our grandson and "designed" him a special sundae paired with an order of French fries! These two were a pair! Jolie took great care of us as well. She checked on us often and insured our orders were spot on! We love visiting this diner. Today was our treat to meet Jolie! On the way out of the restaurant, she offered our grandson a treat from the diner collection! I found out too late that she paid for it from her own tips. I got the corned beef hash with over easy eggs, sliced potatoes and pancakes. The eggs and potatoes were okay but had no seasoning or even salt. The hash was gross. It was cold and watery. Couldn't eat it at all. The pancakes and coffee were good so if you come here for breakfast I would stick with those. It also seemed really expensive for what it was. We checked out Galaxy Diner after doing the North Pole Experience. In our matching family PJs, this was the perfect place to not feel 'out of place'. So much charm and nothing like eating a warm breakfast for dinner on a chilly Flagstaff night. Originally from the NorthEast, where diners are the THING and everyone knows a good diner from a bad one, this place was spot on! They told us it'd be a 40 minute wait. 40 minutes later, they told us the kitchen was backed up so once we ordered it would be another 40 minute wait for the food to come out once we were seated. We said thats fine. At 11:50 we ask how much longer until we can be seated. The server says "like we said, its going to be another 40 minutes to an hour." So we left. Stopped for breakfast while on vacation. We were lucky and there was no wait but it started filling up soon after we arrived. The prices were inexpensive for what you get. My son had the fried egg sandwich and it was huge. It even had the egg runny like he likes it. The potatoes that came with it were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I had the Big Hoss and it was a little bit of everything. What I really like though is you can get a biscuit with gravy as one of your breakfast bread choices with your meal. Great Find in Flagstaff Arizona! Old fashioned 50's style diner. My wife and I tried and shared a few things. We came here twice while in Arizona for the overlanding show. The fettuccine was fantastic. All the food was great. The service was perfect. Friendly staff and fair prices. The only thing I had a problem with were the milkshakes. I had the breakfast burrito with the ? spuds ( sliced fried potatoes and onions) and my daughter ordered the chicken and waffles. Both were good. Food prices have been high every place we've eaten on this trip, so this was about what was expected. There was a musician setting up to play while we were eating and unfortunately we had to leave just as he was into his first song because he was really good and I was enjoying it, but didn't want to hold up a table from being seated. Two of had dinner at the Galaxy. Over all we were not impressed. First of all anyplace calling itself a diner should excell with diner food. The beef vegetable soup was good although it could do with the vegetables cut a bit smaller. The meatloaf was disappointing. A diner meatloaf should be thick, juicy and flavorful. This was none. Thin slices heated by grilling that were dry and lacking in flavor dabbed with a gelatinous gravy. What is with Arizona serving chunks of corn on the cob? It's impossible to eat neatly. Galaxy's corn was very starchy, ideal for cream style corn, not so much for corn on cob. One bite was all I could manage. Overall a disappointing meal. read more

There is amazing decor but the staffing is not the best. We waited for our entire party to arrive as we were denied a table until everyone was there. During that wait would have been the perfect opportunity for the staff to inform our party of 9 that there are no chicken tenders or onion rings, we did not see any signs and weren't aware until the server told us when we finally got to sit and order.. There's also a really strange movie that plays that shows naked children over and over again while you are eating trying to have a nice birthday lunch with family for my boyfriend. I asked the waiter kindly to turn the channel and he replied it's the only tape the owner plays and it's always on repeat. I asked him then to turn it off since there's nothing else to play and he responded with "I don't know how" and so we continued as best we could without the uncomfortable distraction but I have never experienced something like that before. Also my allergies were going crazy ever since I got into that restaurant, the filters and vents need to be looked at or something. The food is fine, but I remember coming to this diner about 5 or 6 years ago and I loved everything about it. It's sad, but I would hope to return here one day to a much better managed diner. read more

Classic 50's diner did not disappoint. Our party had buffalo chicken strips, a burger, and the Cuban sandwich. We had fries, onion rings, and Cole slaw. And the best hot fudge milk shake. A great final dinner for our road trip. The milk shake came out quickly. Love the little globs of hot fudge blended thru the milk shake. Only down side is I couldn't finish my meal. A hidden gem in a corner of a shopping center. What a great place, a friend told me I had to come try this place- so glad I did. The ribeye is melt in your mouth soft. The butter on top gives it the very best flavor for each slice! Ya had me At the homemade onion rings too- crispy and fried to perfection. Brown sugar glazed carrots and calabacitas were just amazing as my sides- SOLD! I'll be coming back again and bringing more friends to try this place out.
