Ever since I started to use my PS3 for gaming rather than just as a way to connect to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc, this has been my go-to location for games. I only buy used and this location has a decent selection at a price I like, and several sales. The staff are usually pretty good at making recommendations, too. This location is small but organized. Majority of stock is merch like Pops figurines and t-shirts, gifts, etc. Have had a couple of stock issues, where I call ahead and they say something is there and then it isn't when I arrive. Staff openly state that the computer counts are famously inaccurate. It's not wildly out of my way, but the inconvenience of being redirected to the Meadows or Rainbow locations is frustrating- luckily they're closeby. read more

I know most people that visits GameStop are gamers looking for the latest games or used ones, which is a unique niche that they serve very well. But recently I discovered they have exclusive variants of some Funko Pop figurines, so I have been frequenting GameStop on my way back from work or when I happen to see one in the mall. This location is not one that I would have found on my own, as the location is on a rather secluded part of the Westland Fair plaza that includes businesses such as Jamba Juice and Walmart. The store is fairly well organized, the parking is plentiful, and they are not super busy, so if you are looking for a decent GameStop location with the typical games and non-exclusive Funko Pops try this one. read more

Came in earlier today to get a game (1game) for my wifey. When we came in the place was super busy and only one person working at the time ( someone must of been on break or lunch). The guy that helped us was Orlando , he was very cool. No matter how busy it got, he still greeted everyone that walked through the door. Even taking care of two customers at the same time (us and another guy) it was kind of impressive, if he was stressed he didn't show it. Game stop had a lot of deals going on , we ended up buying 4 selected games that were on a list for 20 But they also had a buy 2 get the third one free. all great deals. We waited 10 minutes. For help the young lady who did the front desk was basically. Talking about comic books to some other kids. No idea if any one else needed help. I tried to get eye contact to ask a question. No she was just talking like she was at school. With her girlfriends. Not at work. What a joke for customer service. These stores just get worse every time I take my kid. Walmart gets the sale again. I hope these crappy game stop. Go away. read more

Wow. While there are a couple of good apples, this store is a constant letdown; now that they've gotten rid of a manager that was hiding product (especially exclusives), I decided to start giving them another chance. Until the two day fiasco of getting one of my preorders. I preorder items to have them at the time of release. Not to be told repeatedly to come back because the product still hadn't arrived. ---- Edit - the new manager Marco turned a 1-Star bad experience into a passable one. I haven't been to a GameStop in close to a year due to COVID and work but finally had an opportunity to go trade in some things and make some purchases over the course of 2 days . Firstly my wife went alone to make a few trades and then I went a different day . We were lucky enough to be helped by Eric . What an awesome guy . This is my favorite Gamestop location. Not only is it close to my house and convenient, but I also like the employees that work their too. The new manager is awesome. I love the fact that they have game release events/days. Definitely helps bring more clients and helps promote the new game. Worst game stop I have ever been too. I use to go the Gamestop on Decatur and Sahara one of the bet ones in town but they close down I don't why that's beside the fact this store has people that do not now anything promos. I bought a game bf4 for 360 because they told me that I was going to get a code for get a code for the Xbox one version but that was a lie the promo, ended the day before and they told code should be in the box and it wasn't so I return the game the same day because what's the point for the game I rather wait the two months for to get The Xbox one version I go back to the store I wanted my money back but they said I could I open the box I was I open the box because you told me !!!! ok I was like let me have store credit for the full price and they were like no because you open the box and we can't do that. I have been buying from GameStop for years since ps2 this has to be the worst experience I have ever gotten. I was lie to and given the wrong information. I've gone to this store many times and never had a problem returning things, mainly due to the fact the never return policy was never explained and they made sure to only sell me used games even if I brought up a new one only to explain it would save me money. Used games can be returned no problem not the same for new games. So I go to return the game I bought same day for 60 bucks, told me I could only trade it in for 20, and I couldn't exchange it for a game of equal value and to add to it the employee was not very polite or friendly. I understand a lot of this is my own fault for not checking the policy myself and relying on them to be trustworthy but this was such a bad experience at this store I won't return to Gamestop again. Costco and Best buy both have better return policies. read more
