I inherited a collection of about…read more30,000 cards a few years back and although it sounds impressive, I'd say out of the 30,000 cards, only about 3,000 have value and the average value is about $2, so nobody is quitting their day job. In Seattle, we got a place called DJ's, and those guys are great, friendly, helpful and an impressive selection of anything you would want or need related to the trading card hobby. Never having been here before I read the reviews and people talked about rude and cold behavior, but the overall score of 3.5 was enough for me to pop in. The card selection here was really small, had this been the first card store I ever visited, I doubt I would have visited another. That said, I was the only person in the section and a couple people looked at me, even walked by me multiple times, but no one ever spoke, welcomed me in or offered to explain the layout. After browsing for about 10 minutes, I found some interesting cards in a consignment area My experience with consignment is it's items owned by a private seller, but sold by the business for a commission. When I asked about prices since nothing was marked, I was told the items are for auction and I needed to register to bid. 1) The guy had an attitude when I asked for help despite him doing nothing but twiddling him thumbs. 2) Is it consignment or auction. 3) You are killing your business, those items are not moving, which means they are taking up real estate. Your goal with any item, especially used is to sell it as fast as possible. Can you imagine cars sitting on a car lot for 30 days, then selling to the highest bid. You may have been able to sell that car In a couple days instead of clogging your lot for a month. In addition, I asked some other questions and people working there were clueless. I'm sorry, if you work in a card shop or card counter, you need to be an expert. If I ask if you have a specific team or player, you shouldn't have to ask anyone else. Even if you are unsure, you should at a minimum be able to say, check this area, but then again, from what I saw, the store had no organization. I think 3.5 stars is generous, I have no reason to return here. The cards are probably about 25% maybe even 20% of the store, so they have other hobby items, but if you are headed here from sport related memorabilia, I'd say keep driving.

They are still trying to organize the store but my boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised by already how well organized everything was and the store is very spacious! Plenty of walking room which was nice as I always am fearful of bumping into anything in retro stores. Additionally, there was a cozy spot with a TV, table and a bench to sit on for maybe future gaming or TV/movie watching as it was there DVDs, VHSes, and video games nearby. There is a sign that lets you know that there are cats in the store but they were very friendly and followed us around the store as we were browsing. The store owner greeted us politely and told us if we had any questions that he would be more than happy to answer them. We didn't have any questions at the time as we just wanted to check out the store and see what they offered as we had never been before. They also support other small businesses which I thought was extremely generous and sweet of them to do! We ended up buying two Lorcana packs which the owner made sure to price fairly in comparison to other card shops or retail stores. Overall a very awesome experience and we hope to come again soon!

This of course led my husband and I through a sea of nostalgia and the kids watching endless "card pull" videos. This was our first time at Metro, and my 6 year old son was lead by destiny to find the coveted "God pack" or golden Charizard (his words, not mine). While the kids "ohhh'd and ahhh'd" over the cards and played their hand at the claw machines - I asked the guy working for the info on the different packs. He was so patient and sweet to my 5 year old daughter who was a tad too energetic and excited, and the boys who acted as if we were looking at the answer to world peace through a glass case. He was full of knowledge, answered questions about uncommon Pokemon, and let my son pick out which of the Pokemon boxes he felt was "lucky". In a time where my kid has to compete with adults to even get the chance for a Pokemon machine to release a few items... always leaving empty handed because they emptied it out as he stood behind them in line... you made my kids day. Thank you Conner, for making our first trip there so special.

I brought in 12 books that were new or in like-new condition (no damage, no markings and some hadn't even been read) and was offered just $0.50 per book, totaling $7 for all 12. This included three complete series and several standalone titles. Out of curiosity, I checked their shelves and saw some of the same books priced between $8-$15 each. Overall, it's a great place to shop for books, but I wouldn't recommend selling here if you're hoping to get fair value especially if your books are in excellent condition.

How there theft works is, say you pre pay $120 on your pay in advance account and your monthly bill is $60. You change carriers and there is $60 still pre paid on your account. They do not refund the $60 back to the original payment method, they keep it. Verizon acts so unaware this is happening.
