    Double with onion
    Elizabeth D.

We were excited to try this new spot for burgers. We got the double burgers with cheese, and I added onions to mine. The burger patty itself was not super flavorful, but it was put together well, and each of the ingredients tasted fresh. As other reviews have mentioned, it is a bun-forward burger, but the bun is better than your average store-bought burger bun. As a lover of Asian food, I enjoyed the pickles. The waffle and curly fries were both heavily seasoned. I enjoyed the thick ranch dipping sauce, but there was an additional herb in there that I couldn't quite put my finger on... it wasn't bad, just different. The patio area is super cute! Parking can be difficult, but not when we arrived at opening time on a weekend morning. Even though they gave us a buzzer, staff brought our food to us in red baskets. Staff checked on us and brought extra napkins when requested.

    Nice ambiance.

We enjoyed our first meal at Gami Burger. I had the pastrami sandwich and my wife had the chopped salad. The sandwich was reminiscent of a Ruben. The flavor was great. The cashiers are friendly and helpful. The room is well laid out with plenty of seating inside and out. Tables and floors are clean. We enjoyed it and will be back.

today i took my tastebuds to flavortown and it was INCREDIBLE all thanks to Gami Burger. FOOD we ordered the french dip, the single burger with a raw onion add on (a must), curly and waffle fries. the food was AMAZING. the sweetness from the sunomomo along with the crunch totally elevated the burger. the burger is cooked to perfection with the perfect burger to bun ratio. the french dip was so good even without the ju. tons of meat, truly a hearty sando. SERVICE service was easily 5/5 stars -- everyone was super friendly! PARKING there's a smaller lot and plenty of free street parking if it's busy! SEATING a fair amount of tables inside and outside on the patio area. love that they have a cute little seating area with umbrellas for warmer days! will absolutely be back!

Ever since "Gami Burger" opened their doors to the public back in mid-2025, they have gained quite a following through social media and word-of-mouth. Located in the heart of Carmichael and at the intersection of where Arden Way and Fair Oaks Blvd meet, this place took over the space where Willie's Burgers once stood for many years. To see a new burger joint replace a former burger joint brought joy and a sense of relief. And to those of you that still want that Willie's burger craving, they still have their two locations in Sacramento; 16th & Broadway as well as Old Sacramento at Front and K St's. I dined here solo during the afternoon on Sunday 3/29/2026 at around 3:45pm. From the looks of the outside, the changes were only subtle with their business name painted on the navy blue walls. As for outdoor seating, the picnic-style benches complete with the blue umbrellas complete the overall exterior aesthetic of the building. Once inside, the wooden seating remains unchanged with a fresh coast of varnash giving it a fresh look. There are also upgrades to the flooring, lighting, wood paneling, and of course, the digital menu boards. Their menu consists of all the comfort classics; burgers, sandwiches (chicken, pastrami, ahi tuna), hot dogs, fries, onion rings, slaw, salads, shakes, floats, and even a kids menu. In addition to the soft drinks, they also carry a respectable amount of beers on tap as well as select red and white wines. Since it was my first time here and I didn't want to go too overboard on my calories for the weekend, I went with a "Single Cheeseburger" which includes American cheese, Gami sauce, Sunomono pickles, lettuce, and tomatoes. I also opted for caramelized grilled onions. All burgers include a slightly toasted Brioche bun. I complete my meal with a bottled "Ed & Pete's Old Fashioned Lemonade" but chose on skipping the fries. After paying, I was given a small pager that notifies me that my burger is ready. After taking the first bite of the cheeseburger, I will point out that my burger looked amazing with all the proper fillings. However, the bun was a little too toasted for my preference as I like more of a buttery soft bun. The beef patty also didn't have that seasoned juicy taste to it but nonetheless, it was delicious. I would have to say that the amount of lettuce (as you can see in the photo I took) was a bit extreme. Either way, this was still a decent burger but I would have to give it a 3.75 out of 5. All in all, Gami Burger has a lot of potential; even more so now that they opened a 2nd location in Midtown Sacramento (in February 2026) at 23rd & K St (replacing the short-lived "Burger Patch"). I will definitely give their business a try again as the employees were polite, courteous, and friendly during my visit. With above average service, decent prices, a wonderful inviting interior, and decent quality food, I am giving the Carmichael "Gami Burger" an above average four stars.

Waffle Cut Fries and Onion Rings

First time coming here after seeing it all over my social media lately. Staff were friendly and my food came out pretty quickly. I ordered a double Gami burger with grilled onions (extra charge) as well as waffle cut fries and onion rings. The burger itself was pretty flavorful however I thought it was kind of small. The waffle fries were great but the onion rings lacked flavor. They were pretty crispy just didn't really taste like anything. The place is a decent size with outdoor seating, water cups, and beer/wine on tap. Overall I'd come back and get something else maybe the ahi burger

Cute place - bar meets burger joint. Big outdoor patio. Super friendly staff. Great cheeseburgers with sunomono pickles!! The current watermelon salad is the BOMB! Perfect parts sweet and savory!! Would absolutely eat here again! FUI they close at 9pm not 10pm like Yelp says...

Single patty burger add bacon & raw onions with curly fries & house-made ranch.

Gami Burger is amazing! You can customize your burger and make it however you want. They have different style fries to choose from such as sweet potato, waffle, curly, or shoe string. The ranch is the best ranch I've ever had btw. A nice selection of drinks alcoholic and non. The service is great, the workers are super friendly. The atmosphere makes this place!! It's somewhere you can bring the family and hangout while you enjoy a couple of drinks and a delicious burger, indoors or outdoor. The patio section is very nice and indoors they have a feel good vibe, they also have a retro arcade game which had the kids standing in a line waiting to play. Great spot, highly recommend!

Ask for no seasoning on the sweet potato fries

Finally got to try Gami Burger.. and, unfortunately, I left a bit disappointed. I like my burgers with all the veggies, so I paid to add onions. They're sliced so thin and they gave so little for $1 extra.. I didn't taste them and had to dig around to even find them. I love onion, so this was a huge disappointment for me. Then, more disappointment with the sweet potato fries. They were so heavily seasoned, which I did not expect as sweet potato fries are rarely seasoned, but the flavor was so strong that it was hard to eat. I sat there trying to scrape off the seasoning and, ultimately, just gave up. I would try them again, but now know to ask about seasoning on the sides. Also, prices seem slightly on the expensive side for what you get. So, that does make me hesitant to come back but I'm open to giving them another try.

Sunday, 12/7/2025 - We finally got to try Gami burger today for lunch. Address is 5093 Fair Oaks Blvd, Carmichael, CA 95608. This is our first time here. Parking is limited. It is at a corner lot. Upon arrival.: Pros 1) clean little restaurant. 2) staffs were so friendly. I love it. I got like 3 smiling staffs that welcome me as soon as I walked in the door. I felt welcome there. 3) I saw a bar there. Small. But it is a little bar with TV. 4) you order and pick up your food on the side counter (by the front door you walked in). They do provide a little machine thingy that beeps when your order is ready. 5) there is a jug of water and cups you can get your own water. Water tasted good. No funky taste. 6) you can additional side onto your burger for an additional fee. Like mushroom, caramelized onion, avacado, etc. 7) bathroom is for men or women. Two separate bathroom with locks. 8) the special (grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup) was really good. 9) I saw seating outside and a few tables by the front entrance before you walk in. 10) there's 1 game for kids to play. Cons 1) burger was ok. Didn't have much flavor at all. But we did like that there was a little kick to the burger from the sauce. 2) not much tables inside. When we arrived, all the tables inside were taken. No room and it was too cold to eat outside. Conclusion We liked this restaurant. Staffs are very nice. Love that the water jug is on the counter where you can get water all you want without having to ask. Our burger was just....meh. OK. Sweet potatoe fries were just ok too. Grilled sandwich (half sandwich) and tomato bisque soup was good. It got devour by my little one. Parking can get tight if you come during busy hour. Come try this place if you haven't yet.

Two burgers, one add bacon and avocado. One, sub raw onions for plain. Paired with a side of curly and sweet potato fries.

I came to this restaurant a few weeks ago with my boyfriend. The parking lot seemed pretty full and we'd assumed they'd be fairly busy. To our luck they were busy- but there was plenty of available seating indoors/outdoors to choose from. We both ordered the standard burger, which I believe is a double patty, and it was cooked perfectly. The gami sauce was described as sort of a thousand island dressing by staff. I'd agree, the sauce + the pickles create a very nice, light burger while still maintaining the meaty bite a burger requires. The avocado was smooth and smeared into the bun. The bacon was nice and crispy! They were happy to accommodate when we asked for normal onions instead of grilled. We ended up sitting outside because the indoor space was pretty loud and lively. The music continued the play outdoors at a delightful volume. Staff was attentive and kind, we were treated as soon as we came through the door. Line moved quickly and cashier answered all my questions. Prices reflect the quality of the food and would happily come here again. Only complaint was that the bar staff was glued to their cellphone! They did help us when we asked for refills though.

Excellent yummy food, great customer service and nice atmosphere. A little pricy but high quality food. Thanks, will definitely be back again soon!

I knew it would be worth the visit as the parking lot was full! We each had the double burger and both were cooked to our stated preference. We also shared the curly fries and the shoe string fries; both yummy. They do refill soft drinks and have a full bar. The ambience was as expected and at least 4 staff members approached us at our table to ask if we were enjoying the food. I will definitely return.

I really liked this place. I decided to check them out after seeing people talk about them online. The service was fast and friendly. Prices weren't bad for what you get. I got an ahi steak sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was really good and the sweet potato fries were fried to perfection. I'll definitely have to try their burger or chicken sandwich next time I go. The only thing that kind of sucked which isn't their fault is the parking lot is very tight. There isn't much room to turn around if you go too far after accidentally not seeing an open spot. It can also get loud inside if people bring their kids which I noticed when I was there. I'd still recommend giving them a try. I just wish I was hungry enough to try a little of everything lol.

So a local food reviewer on IG recently did this thing online where he visited many local Banh Mi…read moreshops in Sacramento and of course he ranked them. Well he ranked this one very high, in fact it was his number one-so I had to check it out. The shop is located on Arden Way at a small little nondescript strip mall but they do have plenty of parking,so no issue there. Walking up to the shop they do have a few tables on an outside patio for customers to enjoy. Inside the shop it's very clean with a familiar color scheme-thinking In-N-Out/Five Guys. It's very nice in there. The two workers inside were very efficient, the cashier was overly friendly and welcoming and the other, the sandwich maker, was just quietly grinding out sandwiches the entire time-I appreciated that. They have pretty good menu options but I kind of just went traditional with my lunch order. I ordered a crispy pork banh mi.(10.95) I also ordered both the pork and shrimp spring rolls($4.00 x 2 )to try. It wasn't super busy during this lunchtime so I got my order pretty fast, probably under 12 minutes I would say. Let's talk about the food. I always tell people if I had a personal chef,I would have them make me spring rolls every day for my afternoon snack-I love them so much,so I had high hopes for these. The meat on the pork spring rolls was pretty hearty and kind of took over the spring roll but it was still pretty tasty. The shrimp spring rolls though were a standout, the natural taste of the shrimp along with the other fresh ingredients made the shrimp version stand out. I'm relatively new to the world of Banh Mi but in a very short time I feel like I'm all in and have tried more than a few places and definitely have my favorites, when it comes to bread selections and fillings, but I'm still figuring out my palate in the vast banh mi world. That being said-I really loved this banh mi. It was put together so well, pork was well seasoned and crispy,a nice amount of fresh, snappy, yummy veggies and the bread tasted very fresh. I won't say it's my favorite banh mi, because my number #1 spot is pretty locked up but I really enjoyed the sandwich here. This place is so close to my work,I can easily see it becoming my "Go-To" spot for banh mi. I 100% recommend this shop.
