They also have a fabulous EBT program where they match up to $15 of your EBT bucks. It is the cutest market in San Diego, and always the highlight of my week. Everyone is so kind and I appreciate all the smiles, amazing ambiance, and not too big of a market where you get lost- just a perfect two blocks long.

The bbq plate was huge and a great cost for being at a farmers market. Noticed a lot of gals buying flowers also. There was also a gal selling fresh seafood- bluefin, tuna, salmon roe- etc plus a vendor selling the variations of hummus and middle eastern pita chips & dip.

While wandering around San Diego by car, I happen to stumble upon this wonderful little farmers…read moremarket! I was incredibly impressed by the various businesses that popped up here to make this market, especially the prepared food foods, and food trucks. Almost everything was represented and seemingly done really well, but I caught my eye had to be the Hawaiian specialties and the grilled skewers. Unfortunately, I had just eaten and wasn't in the mood for a bite, but I was totally tempted to try it anyways. There was a nice little selection of produce, but I also love seeing all of the local makers and packaged goods that work for sale. I ended up enjoying the chili, crisp and other chili based condiment that were made by a local lady and I also really love the San Diego Pepper Company, and purchase their hot sauce to take home as well. Point Loma in San Diego you are super lucky to have this little market in your community and you can't beat the location next to liberty market and all the great food and drink and shopping to be had there. I made almost an entire day out of wandering around this whole area and it was the farmers market got it all started.

From delicious food, to fresh produce, to the most gorgeous and vibrant flowers, to beautiful pottery, to unique clothes... you name it, they have it there! Make sure to come early as parking can be a bit tricky, especially if you want to park closer to the farmers' market. Once you get parked though, everything is a breeze. They even have tables and chairs around for people to eat at. There's also a playground for families who have little ones! I could never go to a farmers' market and leave without fresh flowers, so of course I had to pick up some from Hidalgo Flowers. They always have the most colorful and stunning arrangements, and for a decent price too. This time, I got a bunch with the prettiest sunflowers. We also picked up the sweetest and reddest strawberries from this one vendor. I highly regret not getting their name, but I will definitely be on the hunt for them the minute we go back. We got a cup of strawberries with some dark chocolate sauce from Strawberries and Chocolate. That was sooo good! We devoured it so quickly, we didn't even get to take a picture of it. One of the standouts for me was the Pork Sisig Rice from Baryo Eats. It was AHHHHMAZING!! It's the best kind of pork sisig that I love to eat--the taste was so good and nostalgic, it took me back to my college days back in the Philippines! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We also got some Paella from Driana Catering/Taste of Spain. It was so flavorful and the rice was cooked to perfection. We were just sad they ran out of shrimp by the time we got some, so we were left with chicken only. We got some goodies from It's Cafe Thai as well--Milk Tea with Boba, Taro Thai Coffee, and the Mango Sticky Rice. All of them had just the right amount of sweetness and hit the spot for us. Lastly, we had some of the watermelon and the cucumber lemonade refreshers, and the chicken and pork tamales from Gourmet Tamales. They were so good, we even took some home for later! Overall, I'm already looking forward to the next Sunday we can stop by this farmers' market!

Stars off for parking and crowds, but we lucked out on great parking and were on the way out when things were getting peak crazy. Now - all my treasures. There was a bread guy. Great breads. Focaccia. Banana bread. Sourdough. Looked beautiful, but unassuming. The deliciousness level - wow! Broccolini, squash, carrots, celery, onion. Then, the berries! Look and try. You'll know the ones you want. Oceanside? Carlsbad? I am on strike as of now and will be hard pressed to make due with a Driscolls berry. Oh - and this magical little orange. I should have bought 5 pounds. I drank fresh OJ while we were there. 11/10. I'm so happy that after an awesome vacation of vacation dates and treats we get to keep it going with some lighter meals. I made tuna salad with celery and onions. Well have grilled veg with dinner. Magical berries all day. The special grilled cheese with gruyere, honey, mustard and all the other little meals il weave my Ja Jolla open air marked finds - incredible. Then, all the things I didn't buy because they wouldn't have survived in the car. Salad. Flowers. Tomatoes. All beautiful.

We have been nothing but pleased with the weekly fruit deliveries that we get from their orchard to our office. It is awesome, and a lot of people are eating healthier as a result! When we had a bruised banana we called them up and they rushed us some more! Great tasting fruit, and great service!

They are firm, sweet and top quality. Blueberries shipped from overseas and most local growers can't hold a candle to these berries. It is so difficult to find good produce anymore. I wonder if California Fruit Co. raises watermelons? The ones in the store are flavorless. I need a good watermelon. Can you contact some of the grocery stores in Southern Calif. and talk them into stocking your watermelons? I would be forever grateful ( :

There is an orchid vendor setup in front of city hall to indicate there is a farmers market.  It was $25 for the big orchids.  Lovely. The Juicing Gents had some delicious juices for sale.  I tried the blood orange guava, and passion fruit.  Wow!  There was an incredible burst of flavor from the blend of juices.  I have been a fan of POG juice since I visited Hawaii and this is the boldest and freshest version I have ever had.  I added some ice to it from my Tommy Bahama concoction maker and made a slushie.  Amazing drink.  Next time I see them I'll try some more flavors. 2nd visit. I tried the Juicing Gents again.  This time I had the tangerine/guava.  Loved the rich, sweet mix of tangerine and guava flavors.  Delicious.  Next time I'm gonna try the tangerine, passion fruit and guava. Strawberries were at peak ripeness and I loved the sweet strawberry flavor.  They were $15 for 3 packs. Le Rendez Vous French Bakery had baked goods.  French baguette had a thin crunchy crust and a nice mild flavor.  Very good but not on the Bread & Cie level. Del Mar Farmers Market is great if you are looking for a farmer's market with the essentials that is easy to get in and out of.  Next time I want to try the safron chicken and the honey.

I decided to get tofu pad see ew. It was going to be 15 minutes for them to make it, and it ended up more like 20 minutes. But I bought some super cute earrings from an artist who makes them from dried flowers. And the pad see ew turns out to be exceptional, one of the best versions I've ever had so it's highly recommended! Place your order first and then go shopping and come back to pick up your food.

At long last the UCSD Farmer's Market is back!…read more A few things have changed since its last iteration from before Covid. First, and most obvious is the location. Before, it was located at UCSD's Town Square, which I thought was pretty inaccessible for non-students. Now, it's located at the Epstein Family Amphitheatre, which is conveniently located next to the UCSD Central Campus Trolley Station and the Gilman Parking Structure. It's a really beautiful setup, with plenty of outdoor seating, whether you want to sit at the lawn, the various tables and chairs, or even the amphiteatre seating itself. There were a few vendors that have usually set up at the market, including House of Bao, Bubbas Hawaiian Snack Shack, Belinda's Familia, Seb Panini and a Sambusa place. I think it's a pretty good lineup, but I noticed the items are very expensive. Further, the selection outside of prepared foods was pretty lacking. There was a florist, but I think more fresh fruit and vegetable options (that accept EBT!) would have elevated the experience and helped with the food insecurity issues that plague college campuses. I ended up visiting Belinda's, where I was enticed by some free samples. I had a chorizo egg burrito, which I thought was really good and a deal for $10! Overall, I think the return of the farmer's market is a net positive for the community! I visited on re-opening day, so I think a couple more weeks will help iron out the selection and variety issues!
