Just moved to Milford and came here for the first time. I couldn't decide between the steak and cheese or the pastrami grinders and they were nice enough to make a half-and-half. Absolutely amazing personally I love the pastrami, but both were great. Everybody working there was extremely nice and pleasant. When they knew it was my first time they did everything they could to make it a pleasant experience and it was. Thank you

At first glance, it might look like an ordinary pizza joint. The dining room is brightly lit and very clean, with three banks of booths. I was initially struck by the number of staff working behind the counter, especially on a Monday evening. The reason soon became obvious. The phone rang constantly with orders, the line for pick up was nonstop and the delivery guy was in and out multiple times with multiple pies tucked into insulated bags. The menu is quite extensive, including appetizers, specialty pizzas, pasta dishes, grinders/wraps, salads, desserts and a kids' menu. Prices were very reasonable, especially in this day and age. The offering of soft drinks, water, juice, milk, etc was impressive. I came for a salad, but was drawn to the pizzas, torn between the shrimp scampi and jalapeño & bacon. I ordered a small shrimp scampi pizza. My date decided on a small eggplant parm grinder. My pizza was amazing! The crust was fairly thin with nice, crunchy-outside-soft-inside edges that were perfectly golden brown. The cheese blend was ooey-gooey madness with just enough oil and garlic to make it decadent. The star of the pie, however, was the shrimp. They were fresh, plump and fairly abundant. It all worked very well together and something I'd definitely order again. The eggplant grinder was a decent portion, for a small, with a generous portion of fried eggplant stacked inside. He ordered it without cheese (gasp!), something I'll not even try to explain or defend. The bread was nicely toasted. Personally, I'd have requested more sauce. But it wasn't my sandwich. He said it wasn't as good as his full-blooded Italian mother's eggplant. He then proceeded to devour the entire grinder, in short time. It wasn't difficult to understand how busy the place was on a dreary Monday night. The food was good and the prices reasonable. I'll definitely return - maybe for that salad.

Pizza wasn't great. I called ahead and still had to wait 15 minutes. Service was very unorganized, every body was trying to do every job.

Four of us splitting them so one whipped feta cheese dip wasn't enough but we ordered another. My friend got the chicken parm which she really liked with the pesto pasta underneath. While a few of us split some pizzas. We got a large half and half of buffalo chicken and the primo pepperoni pizza. Then we wanted to try the sweet ricotta and vodka pizza special so we got a small. The inside of the restaurant definitely has a cool vibe and was a nice size. I do recommend making a reservation online in advance. At the end of the day I gave this spot a 3 only because the food was mediocre. I ordered a custom ricotta and pepperoni pizza and shared some fries. Both left me feeling disappointed (and I am not a picky pizza person, trust me).

There was no valet service, and the parking lot was already full, but we found a street parking spot very close to the restaurant. We were seated immediately at a window table overlooking the pond, one of Alicante's nicest features. We've dined here many times over the years, although our last visit was disappointing due to sluggish service. Fortunately, this evening proved to be a return to form. Ice water, wine, and warm bread arrived almost immediately as our attentive three-person service team got us settled. While the evening specials were tempting, we opted for two longtime favorites from the regular menu: Piccata di Pollo - $27 Shrimp Scampi - $29 Total with wine and tax: $84.53 Our entrées arrived promptly, hot, and beautifully prepared. The chicken piccata was exceptionally tender, complemented by a bright, flavorful lemon-butter sauce. The shrimp scampi featured perfectly cooked shrimp in a classic butter and garlic sauce that was well-balanced and not over-seasoned. As always, the portions were generous--enough that some of the chicken accompanied us home. After one less-than-memorable visit, it was nice to see Alicante back at the top of its game. Excellent food, attentive service, and a beautiful setting make this a restaurant we look forward to visiting again. Tip: Even though Alicante is on Route 16, you can park along the road. Be careful exiting the driver side, it's a very busy road.

The location is convenient being dead center in town and with a large parking lot. While the restaurant atmosphere itself is a little run down that's not too uncommon with pizza places. The staff have always been pleasant and accommodating as I try and decide what to get from their large menu. They also have a large fridge with different drink options you can choose from as well. Specials are always on the board and have a great variety. My go to order is the chicken cutlet plate on white bread. I love their cutlets as they're nice and crispy and all the toppings are fresh and delicious. Their French fries are phenomenal with that extra crispy coating like I like on a fry. Last time I came in my with my aunt and she had the fried ravioli which I felt could have been a little crispier but their marinara sauce was a great addition. The prices are reasonable with my sandwich and fries being about $13. If you're in the area I definitely recommend stopping by!

The buffalo chicken mac and cheese is great when the blue cheese crumbles are remembered, the chicken birria tacos can be flavorful but often missing the chipotle sauce or broth (or both!), and the southern fried chicken is frequently missing the gravy. The baja fish tacos can be soggy with inconsistent portions, and the honey mustard wrap is often more salad than chicken. Checking your order before leaving can help prevent some of these oversights. And again, when the kitchen gets these things right, you're in for a delicious meal. Some other items we love that haven't become takeout blunders yet include the burgers, the nashville hot chicken sandwich, the greek salad, and garlic parm fries. The southwest steak and avocado bowl, however, is overpriced for the small amount of steak, and the vegetable sides need much more seasoning. Overall, this place has a lot of potential and some truly great menu items, but the lack of consistency makes it hard to fully recommend.
