Whoaaah, this place definitely surprised me! We ordered to go for an office birthday lunch and wowza didn't know a salad could make me so happy! They also did not skimp out on the food portion for a to go order. I got a hefty amount, could easily make two meals out of it. I shared an order of the Garlic Fries ($3.79) with my Co-worker and for myself I got the Gyro Salad ($9.59). The fries are bomb.com ya'll! Salty feta cheese covered on fries, yes please! As I said before, the Gyro Salad was delicious! This is not your average plain Jane salad, the thing is covered in generous amounts of gyro meat, grilled onions, tomatoes, olives, and feta cheese. As well as the Tzatziki sauce, the romaine lettuce has a wonderful Greek dressing. One of the most flavorful salads I've ever had! I was able to try my Co-workers cauliflower ($3.79) and that was awesome as well. Didn't even get to take a picture of it because it was gone so fast. Ordered delivery through Caviar an hour before closing on a weekday. Got the Gyro Plate, the Beef & Lamb Shawarma, and the Cauliflower appetizer/side. The food was no where consistent with the majority of positive reviews I read. The cauliflower was a meager portion, like 7 or so small pieces but laid on top of a thick bed of lettuce in one of those small square containers. Considering cauliflower is a cheap vegetable we were expecting the container to be filled. What a disappointment it was. The meat for both the Gyro plate and the Shawarma was so dry, if it was any drier it would be bordering on being jerky. The Shawarma was not "sliced" pieces of meat but thin slivers of meet a little bit bigger than a matchstick. It was salty with not a lot of flavor. I got the feeling this meat was prepared like the day before even, pre-sliced and then put in like one of those cafeteria containers where they just scoop it out to assemble the meal and this meat had been sitting in the warming container all day drying out. I have a feeling this place is a much better for dine in and getting a classic Gyro sandwich (maybe lunchtime is fresher?) Even though the delivery was lightening fast. We live 8-10 minutes away and the food came within 20 minutes of ordering. Another indication it was quickly thrown together - although that type of "assembly" is expected - they need to work on keeping the meat more moist. read more

Garlic Crush used to be our favorite restaurant up until the last 2 months. I'm not sure if ownership has changed but we are so disappointed. Our first horrible experience was when my husband picked up our take out which was the 4th time in one month. When we got home we had two vegan meals instead of our Chicken plates. That was our New Years Eve dinner... Now tonight my chicken was burnt and our hummus was so disgusting that it was inedible. It didnt even smell or taste like hummus. And our salad had a horrible watery salad dressing. Not the normal dressing they typically have. We have about 8 family members that refuse to come back because of the lack of consistency. Garlic Crush has some good flavors and I always enjoy the gyro plate but there sauce is a bit too little and doesn't give me the same flavorful taste as some other Mediterranean places. I typically go to them as a last resort. They're not the worst I've had but also not the best. read more

We went here for dinner last night. Ordered the Chicken Shawarma plate and the Garlic fries. The fries were almost unbearably salty. I like well seasoned but these were borderline inedible. Unfortunate. The Chicken Shawarma plate was the opposite. The chicken was bland and flavorless, the rice was a complete mush and soggy, the humus had no flavor whatsoever and the garlic sauce had that sharp raw edge to it which made it unpleasant to the palate. The lentil soup was alright. I'm not sure if we just ended up ordering their two worst dishes on the menu but based on what we tried yesterday, I would probably not go back here anytime soon. I drove by Garlic Crush quite a bit until I finally decided to try the place out. It exceeded my expectations immensely! I got the Gyro Plate here, which has a TON of food! It comes with beef, lamb, onions, tomatoes, tzatziki, rice, pita bread and a salad. I also have had the Garlic Fries here as well and they are delicious! The Gyro Plate with Garlic Fries on the side is a great portion for two people to share. Tzatziki sauce is incredible. Try it on fries with feta, it is life-changing! I suspect I'm getting a little bored with eating the same Arabic veggie dishes over and over... so I was very unenthusiastic about this place. Wish they had some additional veggie wrap choices etc instead of the one available falafel wrap. And Arabic food has so much more going on for it than just the typical dips and salads found at these places. Only so many times I can eat hummus y'all. Where's the foul? What they do put out is fresh and authentic tasting. So far this is the best Baba ghanouj we've found in the area. My husband is on his own personal crusade.This is not the best we've ever eaten.... but very good. The shawarma was good too (an order for my son), but he prefers the plainer greek style gyro. After enjoying the food for 2+ years, I have been disappointed the past two orders. There has been an over $2 price increase in the past 2 years. I am happy to pay that since as a business person I know costs have increased and expect/hope the majority of that increase has gone to pay staff livable wages. My disappointment has to do with the decreased portion size and the small "pieces" of chicken. I noticed a change in the size of the chicken (very thin/small pieces) in my favorite,Chicken Shawarma Plate. I thought it might be a fluke. This was the most disappointing "Greek/Mediterranean" food I have ever had. I was expecting a legitimate, well made gyro when I read the reviews and heard about Garlic Crush but upon walking in realized that I was sorely mistaken. With the atmosphere of a fast food joint and the less than average customer service, Garlic Crush is a massive overstatement. If you want to get a good gyro or any sort of good Mediterranean food then go almost anywhere in Seattle or to Santorini's in Kirkland. Where Garlic Crush fails to come through on flavor, atmosphere, customer service, authenticity and price, most other places will. Basically I advise against eating here read more

Since having to order in instead of going out to restaurants in the days of COVID we have added Garlic Crush to our regular takeout rotation. The quality of the food has been consistently good, which we haven't found in other restaurants. I also have to recommend them for catering (when it's safe to gather in groups again). We have used them several times for catering orders previously and not only is the food packaged well and tastes great, but the customer service we get when ordering is always top notch. I had a desire for some garlic and the name of the restaurant, "Garlic Crush" reeled me in. This is a nice, casual restaurant in Issaquah and it's very affordable for Greek/Mediterranean food. The menu says that all of their lamb and beef are all natural, which I sincerely appreciate and am surprised by given their affordable dishes. My wife ordered their gyro plate which comes with a large portion of tender gyro meat, rice, grilled onions, pita bread and choice of salad or soup - she opted for the salad. The salad dressing was a vinaigrette with onion and garlic flavors. The gyro meat was delicious, especially with their house made hot sauce. The rice was mediocre - oily and lacking some flavor. But, if you combine the rice, gyro meat, hot sauce and pita, you have a great bite. I ordered a gyro combo with garlic fries. Their fries were great and not what I expected. The garlic fries are loaded with feta cheese and their special garlic sauce - definitely not the garlic fries at Safeco Stadium. The gyro was very tasty and full of tender meat. I stopped by for takeout on an early Sunday night, and the place was pretty busy. The restaurant opened recently, so everything was still fresh and new, as well as fully staffed. The menu is basically the same as the Bellevue location. My to-go order was: Gyro sandwich combo: For about $10, you get a gyro sandwich, fries and a drink. The gyro was pretty good, and the fried were crispy. It was a decent value. Since it is a new restaurant, they are still working out the kinks on the service side. The kitchen looks fine, but you can tell that the cashier (took a long time to take orders) and the busser are new. The manager was on top of things, though, so hopefully the service will catch up to the food soon. It is great to have another restaurant alternative that is close to home. The dressing was WAY too sour. I don't know if it's too much sumac or lemon juice or what, but it was just too acidic. The chicken kebab meat was dry and portions were tiny for a $15 dish. The rice was extremely disappointing as that is usually my favorite part. It tasted off, and lacked seasoning or had the wrong seasonings. I don't know if it's because Mediterranean food is usually all lumped together in one category and I'm actually comparing apples to oranges, but this just wasn't good. However, recently the food quantity has gone down and the price have gone up. Never in my life have I had something so buttery, flakey, and delicious. Eating this treat brought tears to my eyes. I have had dreams about this little slice of paradise every night for the last week. Decent Middle Eastern food was one thing we realized we'd miss when we moved away from Detroit, where there is a very sizable population of immigrants from that part of the world. However, this little place tucked in a corner of a strip mall is a real gem. The garlic paste is to die for. Honestly, you could die after eating it and have people say that you lived a full life. First, service was good. Unfortunately, the food was very average. The Shawarma chicken was very dry. You know when you go to a really good middle eastern place and they have the chicken cooking on the spit, and you see the juices, and they shave it off for you and it's all moist and amazing, with its juices still visible? Yeah, this meat looked and tasted like it was cooked and stored in some kind of warmer where it got dried out all day, and then was served on dry rice. The sauce is supposed to make it moist, but it's not the same. I don't want to have to pour massive sauce all over everything to hide the dryness. The hummus was really good. The portion was good. The prices are reasonable. Just wish the cooks or owners would stay true to great doner kebab type places where the meat was moist and amazing. Fix that, and I'll sing this place's praise to everyone. This was my second time trying this place, and I'm afraid it's also my last.
