My friend from sammamish took me to garlic crush after finding out we don't really have good shawarma places in Hawaii. After all that though, I decided to get the grilled lamb, although he shawarma did look really good. You have your choice of appetizers, gyros in pita bread or plates. The gyro pita sandwiches are $7-$8 and look filling. I personally like plates more because they come with rice and salad. The salad that comes with the plates has this really great dressing on it and the veggies we're all nice and crunchy. I also found out that you can substitute babaganoush for the hummus that comes with the plates. Yum!! I love babaganoush :) the lamb was good, but I think if I were to come back, I'd get the shawarma! There is plenty of parking and ample seating. This rating is not for the food. I couldn't order food. Why? Because, other than a wall list of food items, there really weren't description of the different foods. Additionally, there were no prices. There was not a printed menu to browse. I was told to scan the QR code with my phone. I didn't have a phone. The cashier offered to describe ands price each item but the first description was dismal. It had beef in it. I asked what cut of beef it was because it was a bit pricey. She didn't know. The employees who overheard my question didn't know. One held up a piece of meat for me to see. I left. A lost customer. I should have asked for more pita bread though, because they only gave me one... which was kind of odd. My husband also only received one piece of pita bread with his order, (which was some sort of rice with gyro meat and onions, it was a big portion) in which he really preferred to have more to properly eat the entire thing. Every time we visit this Garlic Crush (usually after a hike), we have a magnificent feast. The beef kebab is always seasoned consistently and never dry. The gyro is fresh and full of flavor. The garlic fries are last meal worthy - I dream about them. And the baklava... this baklava must be the result of someone making it their life's work to create the perfect dessert. Since we don't get the chance to eat Mediterranean food all that much back home we decided to have lunch at Garlic Crush since it was close to our hotel in Issaquah. Located in a strip mall it's a small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Order at the counter for both takeout and dine in, the staff will deliver your food to your table after placing your order. Food: Wife went with Falafel Plate and a lentil soup. I went back and forth between the Lamb Sandwich, Gyro, and the Kefta Sandwich. Kefta won out since it's a combination of beef and lamb and how can you go wrong there right? The lentil soup was very good, rich, a little creamy, and hearty. My wife's Falafel plate came with 6 nice sized falafels as well as a generous serving of fresh hummus, rice and warm pita. My Kefta sandwich was wrapped in a pita, lots of fresh veggies, but I couldn't really taste the hummus. There is a hot sauce dispenser sitting the corner by the sodas, took a bit and added to my sandwich which added the perfect amount of heat. Service: Order at the counter, grab a seat, food comes out pretty quickly. While we were there we watched the steady flow of customers coming in to grab lunch, most of the orders were to go. I'm a fan of Garlic Crush and find all their locations to be very consistent so far. Was happy to see this was an option for delivery during this bullshit quarantine time, was getting absolutely fed up with all my attempts to cook edible homemade meals, let's just leave the work to the professional chefs. All the items on their menu looks delicious, I honestly always try to make an attempt to try new things on the menu, but I'm just so addicted to their chicken kabob or shawarma chicken plate that I never stray away from it. I'm quite particular about my chicken and I highly approve it. The season it well and the texture is on point. Another reason why I can't be cheap & order off the kid's menu instead since it's a more appropriate portion size for a small girl is that they include this addicting garlic sauce with their full entrees. Ordered through Caviar which I've never done anywhere before this weekend. Up charged for each item! Like several dollars up charge, I knew because I looked at the menu listed in the store while waiting for my order. They also took 55 minutes to complete my order. The estimated time through caviar was originally 10 min. Waited in the store which did not have great social distancing in place, most customers without the mask and the main cashier also didn't wear her mask over her nose the whole time. I almost cancelled my order. Then to top it all off when I got home my order was missing the side salad and side soup for the two entrees I ordered and I swear there is less meat per serving than it used to be. Food was ok hence the rating isn't just one star. Ordered a Beef Plate with house salad (no onions), beef sandwich with garlic fries and a drink. Drove 15 minutes to the restaurant to pick up our order. I should have suspected the order would be wrong when the 2 women behind the counter insisted that there was not a drink. I asked them to double check which they did and realized that there was a drink. With a smirk the larger woman handed me a cup and pointed to the drink dispenser. I take the drink and our order home. Open the bag up and the containers. House salad has onions, portions on the beef plate were a appropriate for a toddler, and last but not least no garlic fries. Called the restaurant, same woman who informed about the drink answers, and proceeds to tell me that if the order is wrong, bring all the food back and they will make another. This location is tucked away in the corner of the shopping center and can be difficult to get to when the parking lot is busy. I got the gyro salad, or should I call it gyro meat with a side of lettuce. I can't believe I'm going to say it, but there's almost too much gyro meat on their salad! The ratio of meat to iceberg lettuce might be 65:35, which is amazing if you're a man/woman who likes meat. But if you're expecting a light salad, this isn't it. This was my first time visiting Seattle. In looking for a plant based meal, I stumbled upon this unassuming treat. While Garlic Crust ably serves the traditional Lebanese fare such as Shawarma, and gyros, I came for the falafel and greenery. The results were mostly positive. The lentil soup had more cumin then I'm used to and more than it needed IMO. It was a bit of a let down. I ordered a side of rice with the Veggie Mezza Plate. The rice was well cooked but not well seasoned. The tahini dressing was needed to bring flavor to the rice. But things improved from there. The falafel was cooked superbly. Not too hard but just with the right combo of soft and crunch. The tabouli salad was also better than most. Baba ganoush is not usually a favorite but this was was delectable. So over all the food was satisfying for me and my dinner guest. The serving situation is a little confusing. You order at the front. But then I was brought my soup, but with no spoon? We had to get the silverware and bus our tables but they brought us the food. The combo of self-serve and being served was odd. Stopped here after hiking along I-90 for a late lunch this past Saturday. The Issaquah location offers indoor and outdoor dining-their patio is dog friendly. I ordered a chicken shwarma sandwich, which I enjoyed thoroughly. The bread was crispy, the chicken tender and flavorful, with crunchy, salty and tangy pickles, smooth tahini and of course, garlic, which complemented but did not overwhelm. This is a great place to stop after hiking along I-90 or in the Issaquah Alps and I will surely be back, they have a great menu and next time I'll need some dessert. read more

This restaurant is okay. It's not great and it's not bad in my opinion. The flavors are almost there for the style of food but they they didn't quite connect for me the two times I visited. The first time and went there I ordered takeout and for some odd reason they separated my sandwich into all sorts of pieces for me to assemble when I got back to my hotel. It was weird I wanted a gyro sandwich and I got the meat and one container, some onions in another, the bread separate and it was dry by the way, and all the other ingredients were in separate containers and I had to assemble it myself. I just simply wanted a gyro sandwich to go. The good news is when I got back to my hotel and I called them up and complain they took care of it right away by asking me to come back the next day and get a redo. It worked out that time because I could go back. But I don't live in or anywhere near Issaquah and if I had not been staying 2 days is that town I would have just been pretty much out of luck. As I said before, the Gyro Salad was delicious! This is not your average plain Jane salad, the thing is covered in generous amounts of gyro meat, grilled onions, tomatoes, olives, and feta cheese. As well as the Tzatziki sauce, the romaine lettuce has a wonderful Greek dressing. One of the most flavorful salads I've ever had! I was able to try my Co-workers cauliflower ($3.79) and that was awesome as well. Didn't even get to take a picture of it because it was gone so fast.
