    Garlic Roasted Prime Rib

If you are reading this, go on Friday or Saturday night and get the Garlic Roasted Prime Rib. You will not regret it, probably the best prime rib I've ever had. Great cut, little to no fat, all the flavor! And the garlic fries... My parents and grandparents have been coming here for years. We watched the River Bar transform into a great place to have a few drinks + apps before dinner. Great music!

The inside bar. Old fashioned and salty dog.

Started out at the river bar. Beautiful part of the river but the Cottonwood trees were shedding so bad it looked like snow. Had a margarita for National Tequila day. Could not stay out there with my allergies. Got a table inside for dinner. Call for reserves because this place was packed on a Monday. Started with an Old Fashioned and the wife had peach sangria. Both great. Ordered a nice red blend wine and started with the Barrata ball and tomato salad. Then soup, mushroom for the wife and spinach/chicken for me. Both delish, we had to switch. Came with warm bread. Main course was veal marsala for me with broccoli and garlic mashers. The best veal that I have had in a long time. The wife had the snapper and said the sauce was delicious. Took canoles home for dessert. Service was fantastic. Everyone very nice. Great evening!!!!

stop by if you are into good italian food!

oh my, some great Italian food! i had the bolognese sauce with penne pasta. It had a depth of flavor, hints of fresh basil, and oregano. my husband had the salmon it was cooked perfectly. the salads were fresh and the soup was freshly made. We also had the toasted bread with tomato and fresh basil! perfect starter! the drinks were wonderful as was the house red wine! the tables were set so you had plenty of room around your dinner party. The waiter were attentive and friendly. if you don't know what you want ask them. They are happy to recommend.

While we waited on food, I looked around and soaked in the vibe. This is a local's place in the purest sense, but has always felt welcoming, no matter where I'm living. Pizza--and buttered spaghetti w meatball for the younger diner--arrived quickly enough and we dug in. Mario's pizza stands out as "normal" pizza with every ingredient and flavor on point. You'll have to drive a long way to find any on par with Mario's pies. They're in my top three Colorado mountain town pizza joints and I've been to my fair share. The meatball from the kids' spaghetti was moist and tasty--good, not great. Five stars for simple excellence, good service, and the 60-70s pizza joint decor.

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at High Alpine Brewing…read more We chose this brewery because we thought it was pet friendly, especially since they have a large outdoor upstairs patio. When we arrived, we were initially told dogs weren't allowed. I explained that our dog is extremely well-behaved and simply lays quietly under the table. The hostess said that was fine and seated us at a table right next to the outdoor area. After we sat down, three different employees approached us asking whether our dog was a service animal, even though another staff member had already approved her being there. By that point, we felt singled out and uncomfortable. The final employee was particularly rude and suggested we could tie "it" to a tree if we wanted to eat there. Referring to our dog as "it" and suggesting we leave her tied outside was shocking and unnecessary. Rather than continue feeling unwelcome, we decided to order a pizza to go. We had planned to stay for drinks, appetizers, and dinner, but instead we ate in our car. The prosciutto pizza was decent, but it was much saltier than we expected. At that point, we were just hungry and wanted to leave. What was most disappointing wasn't the dog policy itself--businesses are absolutely entitled to set their own policies. It was the inconsistent communication and the way we were treated after being told it was okay to stay. Instead, the experience left us feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

There's a bar upstairs with ample seating inside and out on their deck which over looks the Main Street and sidewalk. They also have a pool table and a few tv's with sports on. I enjoyed a prime rib steak on a Friday and then on Sunday I had the Alfredo with chicken. Both dishes were cooked well and flavorful as you'd expect. I've read a lot of reviews and I could see when things get busy the servers could start to lose their attention to all the tables they are over. The kitchen from what I've seen was consistently putting out good food. The only complaint I have and it's aimed at the owners is why do you charge/force a 3.5% fee/extortion on each bill/check to your customers... it's not Las Vegas and that's the only place where I've seen it constantly pushed, however in Las Vegas you can request it be removed and it is. Your establishment does give discounted options- like on debit cards you give a demand a smaller fee - to be totally fee free of demands/extortion you must pay cash...

Mine was a sirloin, and it was aged well, cooked to perfection, and absolutely seasoned to perfection. I got mushrooms on the side, and it's great to see a place that serves mushrooms without onions, since I don't like onions. SUMMARY: Mediocre food…read more Despite the great reputation, well adorned facility, stellar location, and impressive menu, everything I ordered proved consistently disappointing. Calling this food ordinary is, at best, an overstatement. At each turn, my efforts invoked in salvaging the (food) entries was met with failure. Starting with a simple Caesar salad, the lettuce tasted several days old. Drenched in ordinary tasting salad dressing, the romaine lettuce became soggy from the presence of excessive dressing. The dressing was too strong in taste, akin to store bought lower priced varieties, and from this, proved difficult to eat. The portion was generous, however. WARNING: Do not order the minestrone soup. To explain: The minestrone soup proved ultra disappointing. With the amount that I paid, $12, for a bowl, I was expecting it to be of meal-like quality. Instead, it was also challenging to consume, being so vinegary, possessing a handful of some tomato slices and little else. It arrived lukewarm. Instead of ample carrots, beans, celery, onion, etc., with typically a delicious broth, all that I could detect was slimy tomato slices in a pool of vinegar. The "chef" needs to study quality minestrone soup recipes and completely start over, especially if customers are charged $12 for such. I was so looking forward to a quality and hearty minestrone soup. I haven't tasted anything so pathetic yet simultaneously overpriced, in years. Have they tasted this? It pains me to speak so passionately about something like this. But it was a disaster. The house bread? It was crunchy, also seeming to be dated, not stale, just not fresh. It wasn't warm. It was dry. The garlic butter was fine, but following the theme, ordinary, at best. I tried everything to make at least the bread come alive, heaping massive piles of garlic butter on it. Nothing could rescue the bread either. No olive oil was to be found anywhere on the table or tables in my vicinity. Very friendly staff was present, but their inexperience and lack of polish became annoying. Whatever virtue that the "soup" might have had was lost as it got even colder while she was talking ceaselessly to me. Yes, it arrived lukewarm before she was conversing. Friendly service, even if awfully informal, can't compensate for such a poor price - value relationship and mediocre food. I cannot recommend this restaurant. Perhaps they do a superior job on pasta dishes. Yet, upon perusing the menu, I couldn't find just a small or half portion of spaghetti. A jr. high aged boy near me somehow managed to order a small plate of spaghetti. While it looked ordinary, such would likely have proven sufficient tonight, even if such was likely only available on the children's menu. If this restaurant once served fresh and delicious food, something, at least of late, has woefully gone awry in the kitchen.
