My review is not based on the work that Gary's did on my vehicle, simply because they never did any work on my vehicle. "Why is that?" you may ask. I will tell you. Gary's never did any work on my vehicle, because I called Gary's to get a quote for some work I needed done, and to my amazement, Gary told me that it would be a pain the ass. I clarified that he meant that it would be a pain in the ass to give me a quote, and he said that was exactly what he meant, because he would have to look up stuff! Oooooook! That kind of bluntness still has me laughing, but he clearly doesn't need any business, so I recommend you take your vehicle to a place that will respect your patronage! From my experience, that is clearly not Gary's. No other mechanics that I spoke with had a problem giving me a quote, and I have selected one to perform the work I need done. read more

I came here to get my A/C recharged on my 1996 Chevy. Strangely, it was blowing hot air and I just couldn't have that in my camping van! I dropped it off around 10am and picked it up at 2:30pm. Since I bought the van used over a year ago, I had no idea when it was last serviced. I got in my vehicle and the first thing I did was turn on the A/C and it was "like new" A/C! Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!! My husband got an oil change at another place across town - NOT GARY RAYS - and they told him he needed new brakes and that his power steering was leaking. Only the power steering issue was written on his paperwork, but they pressured him to do the brake job right then and there. I suggested he get a second opinion from Gary Ray, so glad we did! We usually go to Gary Ray for major work, just never thought to go there for oil changes too. Tom was amazing. He said our brakes were totally fine, and that it was dishonest to suggest we needed any brake work done. For our power steering issue, it was a quick repair, done the same day. He told us what to look for, how to not need power steering repairs in the future (don't cock the wheel past the locking stage!). We learned that Gary Ray's does simple things like oil changes, all the way to a full service mechanic. They always do quality work, at fair prices, and very quickly. My Tahoe was towed to Gary's on 8/2/16 because my fuel pump went out. I was charged $1080 for the job 412 for parts $605 dollars for labor. Which I thought was very high! They charged me for a 4.5 hr job that I know was longer than what they needed because I was waiting down the street. I talked to Gary at 1054am to go ahead with job and drove by headed to the store at 1pm thinking hey my cars parked outside I wonder if they started it yet? So on the way back at 1:13 I pulled in and asked if they started the job and Gary said they had finished. I'm thinking why didn't they call me were they going to wait till the end of the day to because they said 4.5 hrs labor? On top of that I had and envelope with a fifty dollar bill that was gone. I was going to put toward bill. I asked Gary if anyone took the envelope. He replied he hadn't been in the truck. And his mechanic Tom with the money he makes wouldn't need a 50 dollar bill. So after yesterday I will never take my car to this shop or refer anyone to this place. It truly made me sick! read more

I took the Napa Sew & Vac van in just before Xmas with an overheating problem and an issue with the brakes. Turned out to be a bunch. It blew a head gasket and the brakes were into the rotors. I had them do the repairs and add a new battery, wiper blades and an oil change. They had the vehicle for 8 or 9 days, considering the holidays and all. The vehicle has never run better. They were very courteous and considerate. They did a great job and their location is very convenient for me. read more
