I removed the wheel and found that there was no brake pad on the outboard side. Only a remnant of the backing plate was there. The caliper was grinding on the rotor and of course the rotor was destroyed and had to be replaced. Always had great service from Gary until now. Had an appointment for oil change and tire rotation. I informed Ray, the manager, I would be waiting. After 30 minutes, the mechanic approached me to let me know I needed an air filter. So far, no problems. 30 minutes later, Ray informs me there is an issue with balancing one of my tires and has me follow him to the garage area. As my wheel is off the balancing machine, he and the mechanic, proceed to inform me that my wheel can't be balanced due to a piece of the rim (metal) missing near the lug nut. (The damage is clearly visible near the lug nut) I asked if the integrity of the rim had been comprised and the mechanic said it was not, but that their attempt to balance the wheel could not be completed due to the damage. I ask Ray how that damaged to my rim occurred. He stated I brought it in that way. I disagreed and was curious as to why, with such significant and obvious damage to the rim, they would continue to work on my truck without physically showing me the damaged rim first. Ray replied that he couldn't find me. I reminded him that I had been at the business the whole time and welcomed him to look at his cameras. As I continued to asked Ray why his business would proceed to work on a damaged wheel without showing me the damage BEFORE their work, he then stated "I got too busy." I asked to speak with GARY and was informed he was on vacation. The following week I contacted GARY over the phone about the situation. GARY stated he was informed that my wheel was damaged when I brought it in. After I disagreed, Gary stated he's known Ray for several years and would never lie to him. As a customer and person, it is very disappointing to be truthful and completely honest with someone only to have that person basically call you a liar. It was apparent it was going to be my word against Ray's and knew our attempts to rectify the situation was going nowhere. I now have a damaged rim/wheel that cannot be balanced. The most disheartening about this is not a damaged wheel, but a business that I trusted and let me down. I still believe in my heart GARY is an honest man, but is being mislead by his employees. Hallelujah!!!! for Gary's Viking auto, I hit a pothole and damaged wheel rims. Tesla dealership told me because my suspension/steering might be bad (tesla would not touch the car), I need to take my model Y to a collision Auto shop. My steering wheels was shaking, my brakes felt as though they were damaged and grinding, and my car was riding rough. Gary's knowledgeable staff member diagnosed the problem immediately within 5 minutes and corrected it within 20 minutes. I have to say, I feel sooo blessed because if had gone to any other dealership for repairs or automechanic, they probably would have diagnosed misalignment, damaged shocks, probably numerous other things and cost at $5,000.
