    Charcuterie! Yum!
    cicero m.

We will be back. The charcuterie was amazing. The meats were so "Italian". Nicely done. The cauliflower was interestingly pickled. The cheeses were fabulous. Gorgonzola. Provolone. Not sure of others. Little wafers that reminded me of communion. Ha! Pistachio. Mini raisin. Apple slices. Do try. The PEI mussels were delicious. Just slightly spiced. A touch of lemon. Very very good. We came just for apps and we conquered. Hey Bobby. Are you reading this?

Went here spur of the moment to get a snack. Nice place. Love the town. The salad was delicious. Chicken and waffles was eh. And the hummus dipping plate was ok. All and all it was ok. Staff very nice. Place was clean. But the price shocked me. 3 appetizers 2 drinks. $70!!!! Dollars. Couldn't believe it I actually checked the bill. I honestly don't think I would choose it again but I would go if someone else wanted to.

Q: what restaurant doesn't have high chairs? A: Gaslight. Not only does this restaurant not have high chairs they also don't seem to have uncooked onions. But they have sautéed onions. Weird to me. My husband and I stopped in for a beer and some lunch with our 6 month old. We asked for a high chair and were told they had none. My husband had to go back to the car in the cold to get the car seat. Next we ordered food, my husband ordered the gaslight burger but requested that the onions be fresh rather than sautéed. They could not accommodate that request and we were told that they didn't have onions that were not sautéed. We wondered how the sauteed onions got that way. We stayed, I ordered fish and chips. For $16 they were cafeteria quality at best. You have to wonder how fresh anything is when the restaurant can't come up with a freshly cut onion slice. My advice to the restaurant would be that the people who like to go to bars for lunch inevitably grow up and have families. Those people still like to sit down for some good beer and food. These people also have money. This place is really trying hard to tell thirty somethings that like good food and beer but have kids to go somewhere else. I suggest we listen. Edited to add: they serve tap water out of old tequila bottles. This is a cute idea however, there is no way these bottles can be properly washed and sanitized with the mouths of the bottles being so small. The bottles are ALL brownish in color due to this fact. It is very off putting

Been here a few times. Great beer selection, good food, and decent service. Definitely get the truffle fries.

Great restaurant minutes from the marina! My kids devoured the fish and chips. I had the crab sandwich which was delicious.

I ordered the calamari appetizer as my meal and could barely finish it. Partner ordered the lighthouse burger. Both were very good. He also got buffalo wings, which I didn't try but he was quite happy with them. The outdoor seating is really nice. Indoors looked good, too, even though I only saw it when I went to the bathroom. Honestly, I am surprised at how good this restaurant is given the remote location. Usually places like this are subpar, but this one I would definitely return to if I'm ever out on this peninsula again.

My only complaint is that I wish they put more of the honey sriracha sauce on the sliders. The tuna nachos were super yummy and fresh. I really liked my soft-shell crab sandwich as well and I thought it was pretty unique. Our seating here was cozy and we had a view of the TVs by the bar. All of our food came out pretty quickly and we didn't have to wait too long for a table. Overall, I'd say that Mule Barn Tavern offers some unique and elevated dishes that exceeded my expectations.

My fiancé had a sour beer that tasted like sangria and I had a sour beer that was a take on mango sticky rice (such a unique beer). My fiancé had a fruity white lager that tasted a bit like a margarita. I had the patty melt with onion rings (up charge) and my fiancé had the steak sandwich with steak fries. Heads up their steak fries are actually potato wedge; still tasty but a pleasant surprised. Both of our sandwiches were delicious. The steak sandwich came with a delicious garlic aioli. Our server was great. She mentioned that a lot of their beer is from Icarus brewing in Lakewood and suggested we check it out. We don't live too close but if we're ever in the area we'll be sure to come back. A lot of the beers were calling my name. A great local place. It's located on a somewhat busy street with street parking but there's a municipal about a minute walk.
