Giving the two stars for the beautiful location, view, and eclectic decor which I loved. Some friends and I went to check this place out for happy hour. I ordered the Champagne cocktail, which for happy hour at seven dollars is a reasonable price. Except the cocktail was in the smallest champagne flute I've ever witnessed in my life, LOL. Prices on the menu we're pretty high, but I guess that's to be expected for the location. As a meat eater maybe this place has good food, if you have deep pockets. Nobody at the table raved about their coconut shrimp it was happy hour pricing I guess it was a 50 of them. But as a vegetarian I was pretty shocked at the limited offerings, considering this looks to be a very progressive, eclectic, with the times restaurant. The happy hour menu had blackened mac & cheese, but, of course, that was not available. As I wasn't very hungry, I didn't want to spend $18 on the quinoa burger. So I wanted to stick with a seven dollar item off of the happy hour menu. So I asked if I could get the charcuterie board, and substitute any meat on it with maybe a few extra pieces of cheese or veggies. I was pretty shocked when the waitress came back and said they couldn't do that. What? It's not like it's premixed, is it? Like an idiot, I ordered it anyway. It was a 7 inch size plate, piled with six thin slices of meat, that the waitress knew I wasn't going to eat, a piece of baguette, and a I'm not kidding here, a one inch triangle size cheese cube, (one!) and a nickel size dollop of Dijon mustard. Worst presentation ever. Definitely not even worth seven dollars. I almost felt like the chef did that on purpose? Can't be sure, but since I was with friends and having a good time, I did not bother to complain. Then when our whole table got their checks, every single one of us was charged $1.50 for our water. Lol. I will definitely come back down to that area and try the restaurants on either side, but I doubt I will be spending money at Gather again. read more

Great experience! Went to dinner here with my parents. We sat outdoors overlooking the marina which was stunning! We ordered some wine, gnocchi, cauliflower crust pizza, and a shrimp dish which was all delicious. Then for dessert we ordered the cream puff which was a Tahitian vanilla cream pastry with toasted almonds and chantilly. Fantastic experience yesterday at Gather. We were a party of five for brunch. My girlfriends and I took advantage of the bottomless mimosas and Bloodies yesterday at Gather and had a lovely time. The drinks were as expected but the food was delightful. The menu hits all the high notes and breakfast is served late. I had a lobster Benedict that was out of this world. The hash browns ate almost like tater tots, crispy little balls of victory. We had many orders of this dish. My girlfriend who's doing Weight Watchers ordered an egg white frittata and raves about it. I didn't try it but it looked substantial for a frittata, nice and fluffy. Beautiful waterfront dining: It was my first time in, other of the group had been before. It is located next to Westin Hotel off of Pelican in Cape Coral FL. You use that same parking garage that gets you to Nauti Mermaid and Pinchers. Lots of cute cozy places inside to lounge back on chairs or couches and enjoy each other's company. Just stopped in for an early Bloody Mary. Nice place for breakfast right on the marina. Comfortable seating, friendly people and great people watching. The breakfasts look amazing. Can beat the location and atmosphere. Just stopped back for some quarantine carry out and all I can say is wow. The food here is really good! Had the OMG burger and I t was perfectly cooked with a great flavor. Also tried the meatballs that were the perfect combination of garlic, cheese and Waygu beef. Just upped my rating by a star. It's a cute small place, very quaint. A little unorganized. Tables were not clean, service very slow. There were 5 of us and our waitress didn't write anything down and kept coming back asking us to repeat what we wanted for our drinks and food. At one point we told her she was making us nervous and maybe she should write it down since there were several of us. Menu was interesting without resorting to clown food. Coffee was about the only average thing about the experience, and I'll blame the water for that. Wife ordered a simple scrambled breakfast. She's picky, she was happy. I ordered the breakfast burrito. FRESH jalapeños, thank you very much. We wanted to go back the next day, but they are closed Monday. This is after my second time here. The first was just drinks and apps the craft cocktails are amazing and creative. the price point is exactly what I would expect from any bar/restaurant of this caliber. We had the cheese & charcuterie board. It was full of a huge variety of accoutrements along with the great cheeses and meats. The bar tenders were also very social and fun. Our second trip was for an actual dinner with friends. This time we tested the beer and wine list. Was not disappointed. We again stayed with the cheese & charcuterie board and it was just as good as the first time. I had the steak frites that was cooked to my perfection with crisp fries nothing to complex but it was done to perfection. The only knock was my friend ordered the burger and asked for it without goat cheese. Which I get it's not for everyone. When his burger came it was covered in goat cheese. No problem the waitress happily brought it back, but returned with a new burger "fresh off the grill" with a few minutes. And I along with my friend could still taste the got cheese. It was tolerable, but don't lie about it or actually do a new burger. This will not keep me from going back or recommending this place. I hope it flourishes. read more

We come to the Gather a few times per month. Just for the Cauliflower Pizza. I am allergic to goat cheese..so I always request the Stilton cheese instead. So when we tried to order the Cauliflower pizza tonight the waitress said it couldn't be changed..I explained that we always special order with the Stilten and she continue to argue with me .I requested that she ask the manager and again I am allergic to remove the goat cheese. Finally they agreed to make the pizza with the stilten. Well it arrived over cooked without any cheese. We told the waitress and she did nothing once again. Finally we noticed the manager walking around other tables and called him over. When we explained again to him about my allergie and that the pizza came out with out the stilten cheese. He argued that the Kitchen said they did put the cheese on the pizza. Well I never had a manger call us a lier . OMG we actually scraped back the ingredients to look for the cheese there was not any cheese on the pizza. I can't not believe the manager actually argued with us about the cheese. I also loved that the salad was artisan lettuce...I am an avid hater of romaine, which seems to be every restaurants go to. I was relieved that their standard WASNT romaine. My best friend ordered the Roasted Procini Mushrooms Risotto: she loved it, and so did I (I tried a little). Her favorite part was the asparagus tips. The dish was thick and flavorful and definitely hit that comfort spot. My fiancé and sister both got the Oh My Gather Burger!!!: they both said it was "alright". The fries were phenomenal though! I don't eat red meats so I didn't try myself, but i trust my fiancé's taste buds; he said it was good, but not great, and that I could make it better at home. My sister said the same. As for drinks, we got mimosas (amazing!!!!!), Smells Like Teen Spirit (great!) and The Party Drink (not my cup of tea, basically a cup of tequila and grapefruit). Overall, our experience was great! Well I've been going to Gathers for a few years. Never really had any real complaints except getting my to go order wrong. Food used to be good and yes the prices were on the high side, but I still liked the food. I understand Covid has messed up a lot of restaurants, but I am truly disappointed in what it did with Gathers. My favorite meal there WAS the Smoked Salmon Tartine and Maria's empanadas. Well, they destroyed the salmon tartine! They used to give two pieces of bread with salmon on them and lots of arugula and sweety drop red peppers and more. NOW, hmph you only get one of the bread with the salmon on it, hardly any greens at all, no sweety red peppers, doesn't taste the same. Price didn't go lower for their reduction in their serving. This entree is more of a lunch not a dinner. Their Maria's empanadas are still great and at least they didn't change anything on that. I am just so disappointed. I may go back just for the empanadas but really did you guys have to get soooo stingy! read more

I went here for last night for dinner. Had Peggy as our server. She knows every dish on the menu, how it's made and you can tell she takes pride in where she works. She did a phenomenal job of guiding us through the menu and making recommendations. The view is phenomenal overlooking boats and the water. As an Arizona girl, this was just so breathtaking and relaxing. They have live music which was great and not too loud so you could still have dinner conversation. My husband and I each had a pasta dish and the house salad. Really good , portions are not huge, but I feel like most time I get more food than I can eat so this was just right for me. My meal was like a home made ravioli with a a ricotta cheese and some crabmeat and spinach on top. It was very good. The desserts were good too. I had a almond creme brulee with fresh almonds which was amazing. We chose to eat outside because it was so nice out but the inside is super chic and cool. It's pricy but it is on the backside of a Westin. That would be like eating at La Paloma in Arizona so it won't be cheap. That being said, this is a unique place, great food, stellar service and an ambiance that can't be beat. People will always complain about something, but in my opinion if you want a nice night out, totally relaxing and you're okay with spending a little more, this is the place to go. read more
