    Filet mignon sliders

We went for happy hour and were pleasantly surprised by the prices and portions! You totally get bang for your buck and the cocktails were delicious. The skirt steak was cooked perfectly although we didn't love the fries it came with (kinda dry). The empanadas were very flavorful and their pastry shell was super yummy and flaky. The filet mignon sliders were delish with really yummy caramelized onions and aioli. And then the garlic cheese bread was garlic cheese bread (hard to go wrong!). Our waiter was super friendly and helpful and warned us when we were getting close to happy hour cutoff which we appreciated. Hoping to go back for their regular menu soon!

(+) Empanadas (any flavor) (+) GAMBAS AL AJILLO (+) CALAMARI MARPLATENSE Gaucho Grill is a steakhouse that has pretty good appetizers and side dishes. Parking is easy/free in the structure nearby that is covered. There are four locations in Southern California. Making a reservation is easy if needed. I've been here for dinner and another time for happy hour. Both experiences were enjoyable and the food is quite delicious. Food: They have an option called parrillada that helps satisfy a group of people. It comes with a variety of meats with 1 or 2 sides depending on the package you're ordering. My family ordered the ultimate parrillada and it was enough meat for 7 of us. We did have almost 4-5 side dishes but hope that helps you in terms of ordering. I thought the strip and the short rib were pretty tough to chew through. My favorite was the chicken and lamb chops. The chicken was moist and actually a great addition to all the red meat. I absolutely love their calamari. I'm indifferent to calamari, but I would order this one because of the flavoring and how fresh it tasted. Service/Ambiance: The service is great here. All of the servers and bus boys are kind and super attentive to your experience. The ambiance is casual/ smart casual. It doesn't hurt to look nice. Overall, I would recommend Gaucho grill for large parties and even small ones too. Happy hour is awesome because their side dishes are delicious!

The not so light on the Caesar. Piece of advice, say you want a side size.

I'll review food in my pics. Service was good. I ordered a Caesar salad for a side and requested light Caesar. Server originally said no we can't do that and couple people in my dinner party was like no way. So I said it's ok then. He came back later and says we can do that. To his credit, he might have been new or was just helping out the server staff. The interior decor matched the theme of the restaurant so is was nice.

The food and the presentation were really good I really enjoyed it. Excellent service, Pedro was amazing. The place is really nice, calm, warm and elegant. Definitely I will be back.

Local Argentinian spot to watch sporting events and delicious empanadas and meats. I ordered the beef and pork empanada, fish, chicken on knife skewer and chocolate dessert

Cheers to a great happy hour here! The appetizers and drinks are priced just right for anyone looking to go out and not leave with an empty wallet. Lots of tables, booths and a large bar. Met my yelp sisters for a drink and some appies on a Wednesday. We had a great time and appreciated our server taking such great care of us. We shared a few of the HH appetizers: *Truffle fries -$3 *Garlic Cheese Bread - $3 *Artichoke & Eggplant Dip - $9 *Classic Marg - $9 Perfect for sharing & tasty. My margarita was a little sweet so I added some ice which helped. Plenty of parking on Lake depending on the time. There is a parking lot behind the restaurant as well. ~ and that's all I have to say about that...

Very friendly staff, and attentive. Food was good and for a steak, reasonably priced. Skirt steak did not disappoint, cooked as asked and with very nice flavors (just add some of that chimichurri for it to be perfect), and the side of sweet corn was tasty, creamy and decent portion.

    Happy Hour margarita $9.

Met up with my lovely Sisters B for Happy Hour and a Wednesday night. We got there before the crowd arrived and sat in a booth with a view of the dining room. Our server was delightful and she brought us some bread with chimichurri sauce to dip it in. They have some great deals for Happy Hour, so we ordered a few plates to share. Truffle Fries ($3), Garlic Cheese Bread ($3), and Artichoke & Eggplant Dip ($9). I also had the Classic Margarita ($9). The portion of fries was generous and they were so good! The serving size of the other two dishes were small, so you may want to order two. The Garlic Cheese bread is dangerously delicious, and the Artichoke & Eggplant Dip was also tasty. The margarita was nicely balanced. I enjoyed it. Most of all, I enjoyed catching up with my darling friends. *Parking structure behind the restaurant on Hudson.

Great for groups, and even better for Argentinean food. I came here on a Sunday with a group of four gals for brunch. This Pasadena location has a beautiful interior, with wood tones throughout the space, and red leather seats that give it that warm and welcoming ambiance. As a group, we ordered (2) appetizers to share: the Albondigas $22.00 and Calamari Marplatense $22.00. I gotta say, their calamari dish here is one of the best I've had in a long time. The batter was perfect, and fried perfectly to give it that crispy/crunchy texture I love, plus, you can still taste the squid. It didn't even need the sauce to be honest! I've never had Albondigas before, but it might become one of my favorite things. They are Lamb & Chorizo Meatballs, with big bold flavors, but my favorite thing was the tomato sauce. I ate a lot of this just to keep eating the tomato sauce! It's very good and a great shareable for the table. I love a good ribeye for its buttery taste and tenderness so that's what I got! I got for myself their Ojo de Bife $44.00 and it was a great call. The steaks had that perfect wood-fire smokey taste, and it tasted even better seeing the live fire in the kitchen haha! The chefs can definitely put on a great show with their open kitchen concept. I got to choose 1 side with my steak so I chose the Gaucho Veggies. They do not skimp on the veggies, my bowl was packed with potatoes, zuchinni, mushrooms, and more. So generous! If you're worried about parking like I am most of the time, don't be! When you past Gaucho's on Lake Ave, just keep going down to pass the Mattress Firm store and turn into the Macy's & Shops parking lot on S Hudson Ave. There is plenty of parking and free, too, for 3 hours I believe. Plenty of time to enjoy a good meal. My girl friends got their Prime Picanha $41.00, Steak and Egg $26.00, and a salad, for their entree, and we all felt like we had a big feast and got lots of leftovers to take home! My friends and I all left with happy tummies and big smiles. Thank you Gaucho Grill Pasadena!

Food was pretty good, Pedro our waiter was the man, very attentive and quick. Ambiance felt really nice and calm for a night out. Definitely would recommend if you are in the area

    Happy Hour menu

Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 pm. It's a 5 minute walk from work so I able to enjoy at least about a hour of the happiness. On my recent visit I tried their Filet Mignon Sliders $6 with Truffle fries $3. My sliders came with mini brioche buns with caramelized onions, aioli, blue cheese and arugula. The sliders were great as well as my fries. While I was their I enjoyed two Lagunitas IPA beers bringing my grad total to a little over $20 after taxes.

    Thomas C.

The food is pretty good. I'd rate the steaks 7/10. The American Wagyu tomahawk was cooked beautifully, however wasn't as tender as I expected. They have a good choice of sides and a variety of other dishes, I really do appreciate the diversity to choose different foods from their menu. Overall, it's a nice place to eat at and experience Argentinian steak.

When we walked in, there was a tall, bald male bartender and a blonde female bartender working--neither of whom I've seen here before. We ordered two drinks, but the service from the male bartender was inattentive from the start. At one point, my friend tried to get someone's attention to ask for a lime and wasn't acknowledged. She ended up grabbing a lime herself from the garnish tray--which I understand isn't ideal--but the response we got was completely out of line. The male bartender became immediately hostile and started aggressively cursing at my friend. When I calmly asked the female bartender if this was normal behavior, he inserted himself into the conversation and said, "she put her fucking hand in the fucking jar," in a very confrontational tone. I tried to de-escalate the situation and respectfully explained that there was no reason to speak to us that way, but he continued the hostility and ultimately told us to "get the fuck out." At that point, I paid for our drinks and we left. What made this especially disappointing is that this has never been our experience here before. We've always enjoyed this bar and have had positive interactions with the regular staff. If this had been my first visit, I would not come back. I understand that what my friend did wasn't appropriate, but it absolutely did not justify being yelled at and cursed out. I hope management addresses this, because this kind of behavior is not reflective of the bar I've come to know.

We ended up at Magnolia House for a late lunch/early dinner. They also serve breakfast/brunch only on weekends. Walked in around 4:30pm and we were greeted by Brian, one of the managers. Brian was the standout star of the whole experience! His energy was exceptional and he is such a great conversationalist. He checked on us several times throughout our meal and made sure we were doing well. He on his own was HANDS DOWN a five star human being. At first, he wanted to seat us in the back corner but I told him the table was too small and he accommodated us with a bigger table. Our server Kiana came up to the table with a pleasant smile and greeting to take our drink orders. I got a glass of cranberry juice along with some water. My son got the American Dream cocktail along with some water. We skipped on dessert. From 4-6pm, they have a happy hour menu with some of their cocktails and shareable plates. The portions are just a bit smaller and the prices are a little lower. It's a good way to sample different items. I think we got a good variety of food to enjoy. To start, we got the Little Gem Salad. It was such a unique combination of flavors and SUPER delicate/light. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The next starter was the Zucchini and Feta Fritters, which was good but not the best out of everything else we ordered. The zucchini was a bit mushy but the batter it was fried in was crispy. Another starter we shared were the Moroccan Spiced Chicken Wings. These wings are gigantic and very flavorful. They definitely pack some heat, so be careful. I don't think the A/C was NOT working to begin with, so the place was already hot. The wings made us sweat even more. For entrées, we got the burger and the pork belly. Brian said they are known for their burger and after taking the first bite, it's clear as to why. It was absolutely PERFRCTION. So delicious! The bun, the meat, the cheese, the onions, and the crispy bacon...all of it mixed together into the perfect burger. I had wanted to add some mushrooms and avocado to it, but Kiana said they were unable to do it. I also asked for lettuce and she said that would be an extra charge. What extra charge for lettuce? We still got charged for avocado when the bill came, but they took it off once we mentioned it. The pork belly was also very tender, flavorful, and crispy. It's just hard to compete with the burger! We also got an order of the Belgian Fries to share and we were both pleasantly surprised at how good they were. The fries are salty and cut pretty thick. The sauce that came on the side was so yummy. We asked for a small extra cup to-go. All in all, the food was great and we liked everything. The vibe of the restaurant wasn't really all that for me. Brian genuinely made up for anything that was lacking in the atmosphere. He is such a wonderful asset to the restaurant and their company. The restaurant itself has been here for about 15 years now and it used to be a very old house. You can tell when you look around. They did a good job with the renovations, but you can see the different areas/rooms. I think they tried to keep the casual comfort of a home, while making it a slightly elevated experience. It was very clean everywhere, especially the bathrooms. They have one gender neutral bathroom, one for men, and one for women. No private parking, so you'll have to park on the street and put money in the kiosk. They also had an outdoor seating. Pretty BIG, only took picture of one side. They also have 2 small TVs. In the bar area and inside their cute lounge. I normally like to try new places, especially when I'm in Pasadena, so I'm not sure if I'll come back here. Maybe if Brian is working, it would definitely be worth stopping by again! Thank you all..
