Great location and great food. The hostesses aren't very customer friendly. We called ahead on NYE and they said no reservation necessary. We show up and they say there is a 2 hour wait. Well I guess a reservation isn't necessary if you want to wait. There were numerous open tables. While talking with the hostess regarding the communication issues, the owner came to the rescue. This was a very bad experience. Not only was the meat cold but we did not get any of the sides until we were finished with the meats. When I asked for my check and addressed it to the manager he proceeded to then bring out the mashed potatoes. I told him it was too late and the only thing he had to say was "oh my kitchen was behind". I told him that was no excuse. I paid my bill and we left. Food was good, flavors could not have been better. The aggressiveness of the meat slicers was intense, even when the cards were on red. In the course of our meal, my table was visited no less than 10 times from some sort of management to ask about service, made us all uncomfortable. I finally got to the point I was short with the question of "How is everything?", mind you we were speaking amongst ourselves and they interrupted every time. Slicers were asked multiple times for a certain meat temp, ignored and brought another every time. When I was asked what I was interested in I responded and never saw it at the table again. Huge language barrier with the slicers, had to ask them to repeat multiple times. Out of three of us, two finished was basically told I was as well since they reached in while I was still chewing to get my plate. Typical Brazilian steakhouse-style restaurant, comparable to Fogo de Chao and Chamagaucha in terms of cold bar and meat selection. I heard that the manager used to work as GM at both of the aforementioned Brazilian restaurants. The service was okay but somehow I sensed some negative attitude, perhaps it was near close of business and the business was slow that night; however, I did get the cuts of meat that I requested freshly from the kitchen. Not that many people will care about the self-serve section, but there was only little bit of lobster bisque left waiting to be dried out and the pasta had already dried out. The desserts, creme brulee in particular, did not appear to be prepared freshly as the caramelized sugar was soggy. Oh well, maybe I will stick with Chamagaucha in the future. read more

We have eaten at this place on one other occasion two weeks prior. At that time food was good but service was lacking. That time we went at 430 when they listed their happy hour 4p to 7p. Today we went to eat at 440 and were told to come back at 5p as they were closed. The signs on the front door even said open. We left and came back at 510p to be told they werr still not open. The lady up front said "You can wait till we get ready or leave, your choice." My wife and I sat and waited till 530, at which point I walked from the reception area to the inside to find the manager and staff just standing around. Obviously we left at that point and will not be going back. If you could care or less about a business being open on time and horrible service is okay then this place may be great for you. read more

Very, very disappointing to say the least. The salad bar was disappointing and many of the items on it were very, very spicy. The best thing on it was the boiled shrimp and cocktail sauce. As far as the meat offerings they were a very low hard of beef and extremely chewy and disappointing, the chicken legs tasted as if they had been soaking in cheap white wine for days and were horrible! The pork ribs were tough and one bite was enough of them. The grilled shrimp was very good however. The sides were horrible even the bananas, which are hard to screw up. The service at the table was pretty nonexistent and most of the female servers, at least at our table were rude. We decided to try this for Fathers Day but will go back to Texas de Brazil from now on. All the advertising for this location stated that dinner prices all day with a complimentary desert. We'll bait and switch occurred when we were billed for Fathers Day special price that was $7.00 higher than their published dinner price. Insult was the desert was not even fit to eat. Fantastic. My husband, boys and I stopped in on Sunday afternoon to see if the quality had gone up since the new restaurant moved in and oh my goodness. The staff was AWESOME and attentive. My husband likes his meat rare and they were more than happy to accommodate him and then were still quick to bring it back at a medium/medium-rare temp for me and the kids. The meat itself was clearly well sourced, well seasoned, and absolutely delicious. The shrimp, yum. The bacon wrapped chicken, yum. The house special, yum. Get the picture...? I've been to a couple Brazilian steak houses in CA, but I keep saying it, the beef in TX is the best. All the cuts of meat brought table-side were really good. Juicy, flavorful, and needless to say plentiful. Nice modern atmosphere, full salad bar with pre-made and raw ingredients. Upon sitting down at your table your offered the temping bread and other "filler" foods...suggest to skip and concentrate on the meat!
