Treated myself to a magic key this year! Let me tell you the lounge is so beautiful and it is elevated so you get a nice breeze and view. We got the drinks to cool down The sunset Paloma was a refreshing watermelon drink with a salt rim. The strawberry peach cocktail was a nice blend on strawberry and peach with a sugar rim. Service was disappointing--they automatically ask for a 25% tip, but all they really do is bring out the food. The environment is just okay--feels outdated and a bit worn. Food-wise, the fonduta and linguine were the highlights. The menu is pretty limited, but overall not bad. The Mickey Mouse key holder isn't anything special, so you're not missing out there. There are a lot of high-top seats, so if you're bringing a kid, definitely request a regular table. Also, make sure you make a reservation in advance. read more

I finally got to enjoy a afternoon snack at Magic Key Terrace while Disney's California Adventure was celebrating the Lunar New Year, which turned out to be a great experience overall! I was able to continue using my Magic Key on the last day as I chose not to renew it as I don't have any RunDisney races coming up in a couple of years because of the Disneyland Forward project. Getting a chance to try out the Magic Key Terrace felt like a treat and I had never eaten off the menu there before! We ordered some small plates to eat together as we would be looking at the Lunar New Year food stands as well. Our location was perfect! We had a spot that overlooked the pathway to the Pixar Pier. This let us watch the parade from the Magic Key Terrace! The first item we had was the Fonduta, a mixture of smoked mozzarella, fontina cheese, cream, roasted garlic, with crostini, roasted potatoes, and chorizo foccacia. It was very good. Next we tried the Arancini and that ended up being my favorite item of the meal. I thought the risotto balls were perfectly cooked with a crispy outside and cheesy center! Every bite was satisfying and paired well with the small bites we had ordered. The Butternut Squash was a unique flavor and scrumptious! The Heimlich Chew Chew Juice that I drank was a non-alcoholic beverage made from lemonade, Minute Maid, Granny Smith apple syrup, and fresh watermelon juice. The Heimlich Chew Chew Juice was nice and cold and really helped bring down the richness of the foods we were eating. Our dining experience at Magic Key Terrace was nice and enjoyable. The menu appetizers lends itself well to be eaten by sharing it around the table with others, so it would be a good way to go about trying new things on your trip to the park, and the outdoor seating area offers a nice place to relax while taking in the view of Disney California Adventure! I thought the arancini was my favorite dish that we ate, however everything we tried was delicious and I will keep it in mind for all my trips to Disney in California! read more

I was so excited to try this spot as you can only go as a magic key holder. The view was great as you can see the tops of Cars land. However with a reservation for my husband's birthday our table was not ready until half an hour after our set time and we checked in early so a lot of our Disney day felt like waiting for this reservation. The food was just alright, but Disneyland and California Adventure has tons of other options that are way better for the price. Our waiter was super nice though and the service was great! read more

This is the spot that our friends put together for my fiancé's birthday. It's got a great view of Pixar pier, and the surrounding area. Since our friends had magic keys, they got us in as guest to try out appetizers and drinks. We shared the Focaccia with two house butters and the Fonduta with potatoes, Spanish chorizo, sourdough crostini, and a blended cream The service was good and the seating was comfortable. Wonderful experience at this beautiful restaurant that overlooks Disney California Adventure. The food and drinks were delicious. Everyone in my party enjoyed their dishes. The linguine was cooked perfectly and came with a bright citrus sauce. Paired beautifully with the pinot grigio. I was in heaven. My friends got the gnocchi. It looks small in photos, but in person it was a huge fulfilling portion. My friends got the pork milanese. The outside was crunchy and the inside was juicy. The service was extremely attentive. The staff checked in on us very frequently during our meal and all were very polite. It was funny because one guy kept asking to clear our dishes multiple times but we weren't done eating yet. I appreciate that the table was ready at our reservation time. This is the only Disneyland restaurant we experienced this at. One more thing I appreciate is the fancy ambiance. At Disneyland California Adventure. Managed to snag a reservation since it was on a weekday as it's usually booked out. Need an annual pass to be here and the vibes were very nice. A nice place to sit, talk, drink, and eat. Our server was very nice and really made sure things were good. He even provided with more bread to finish with our fonduta. To be honest, we weren't expecting much from magic key terrace. We just wanted to go once before our key expires to see what it's like. We were so pleasantly surprised! The weather was perfect for sitting at the balcony's edge. We got a nice breeze and view of the park. The food was great and larger portions than I expected! Very tasty! The cocktail was a little sweet and light on the alcohol but still tasty. I don't think I'll order cocktails again though. A few months after becoming Magic Key owners we finally decided to book a dinner at Magic Key Terrace with the World of Color dining package. It's a pretty sweet deal. You have to order from a pre-fixe menu (starting, entree, dessert, and non alcoholic bevvy) that costs $73 but you get preferred seating for World of Color which was definitely worth it this time of year as we got to see the new Lunar New Year pre-show! So cute! As for the dining experience, we loved the food but the service was a little meh. I got the Cesar and it was delicious, I'm honestly such a fan of all the salads here so far, but the waitress forgot to bring silverware so I was just sitting there until she came back to check on us. For my entree, I got the gnocchi alla vodka and it was delish! So creamy. It is a bit spicy so be warned. For dessert, they only have one option: the Spumoni cake. This was pretty solid! Very pretty with all of the layers. I'd definitely try this again, it's a nice spot to get off your feet for a while and enjoy a decent sit down meal. read more

Perfect place to grab a bite & drinks while away from the crowds. This is exclusive to Magic Key holders. Located next to / above the Wine Country Trattoria at DCA. Love the foccacia with house-made butters. For entrees we love the osso buco and the bucatini. They had flat breads on the menu before but my guess is the menu is switched every so often. This place is known for all their signature cocktails, wines, and beer. Lesson learned, must specify NON-ALCOHOLIC Mint Julep when ordering. Because I got 2 and it was so good I gulped it down so fast... world was spinning and looked like a tomato the rest of the night. It was the cocktail Mint Julep. Good food. Great service. I had low expectations going here since Disney restaurant food is typically overpriced food with average taste. However, I'm happy to report the spicy vodka gnocchi alone was worth the visit. It was perfectly al dente and the sauce was creamy with a slight kick that coated every crevice of the pasta. The bucatini alle vongole was also cooked well but too lemon-forward in flavor. There was a decent amount of seafood though so I would say it was worth the price. Since the magic key discount applies, the meal was pretty affordable considering it was Disney and we left pretty full. The customer service was pretty good all throughout our meal. Magic Key Terrace is such a perfect spot to unwind and relax with a great meal--especially for Magic Key holders. My husband and I really enjoy coming here, and pretty much everything we've eaten so far, we've loved. The drinks can be hit or miss, but since it's a full bar, you can always ask for something off-menu or have them make a classic. That flexibility definitely helps. I also appreciate that the menu changes each season. It keeps things interesting and makes us want to come back a bit more. In all my visits to DCA, I'd never even thought to check availability to dine at the Magic Key Terrace. It wasn't until my friend - one I hadn't seen in almost three years and who is no longer a Key Holder herself - mentioned this as a spot to sit down to talk over drinks that I looked into it, and got us added to the walk-up list. The wait wasn't bad, less than 30 minutes, and we were able to sit a bit on some of the benches below. I got three texts in total: one to confirm we were on the list, one to tell us we had about 15 minutes left in our wait time, and one to say our table was ready and that we had 10 minutes to check in. Check in was quick and easy, they just verify your name and check your pass before inviting you to walk up the stairs to get your table. The second check-in desk provides menus (which are different from what you can get at the dining room below) and your table. We had a high table on the railing, with a nice view of the park (and the rain, it started pouring halfway through our meal, but we were covered, if not warm.) The chairs were *super* high, and for the vertically-challenged out there, can be an interesting hurdle. Our waitress, Sam, was friendly and welcoming, answering my friend's allergy-related questions and providing recommendations. On Sam's recommendation, we ordered the Avalon Cooler ($20.75) and the Amalfi Sunset Paloma ($19) to sip on while we considered. Both drinks were good - and very pink - but I preferred the less sweet Paloma. For our meals, my friend ordered the gluten-free Roasted Half Chicken ($34) and I went with the Orecchiette ($24). It didn't take long for the food to come out, piping hot and ready for consumption. The orecchiette were perfectly cooked, if a bit too stuck-together (I blame the cup shape of the pasta for that, they tended to stack and stick together.) I did enjoy the flavor of the dish, with the rich sauce and various vegetables: broccolini, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes and onions. It was filling and quite tasty. My friend made short work of her chicken, which was served with mashed potatoes, roasted carrots and Brussels sprouts. The only negative thing she had to say about the dish was that the sprouts had an off flavor - she compared the flavor to wet cardboard - but she did say the chicken and potatoes were very good. We were able to take our time chatting, eating and sipping, the staff never making us feel like we had to move, get up or clear out. I appreciate that most, because we did have a lot catching up to do. read more

It was confusing because checkin downstairs is for a different restaurant but come to find out it was for both. No signs posted anywhere. They need to clarify this. Once we checked in, we were ready to get seated upstairs. The host sat us outside which was cold. Luckily they had outdoor heaters. Order a flight aprol spritzers and cocktail. Appetizers of meat and cheese. For main dishes, ordered Seafood pasta and Pork with pasta. Received our meat and cheese platter, the restaurant added more cheese because they ran out or meats. Hmmm? The cheese plate was rather tasty! Honey and pistachios. As our appetizer was served, we were still waiting for our drinks and waters. We received our drinks 20 mins after. Unacceptable! Receieved our main dishes. All was very tasty!. No complaints on that. The price you are paying doesn't do justice for the amount being served. Feeling unsatisfied do quantity given. Overall, had a good time. Good vibe overviewing the scenic landscape of Disney California. I would do this again when it is warmer. Experience was good, just ok. Magic Key Terrace's new menu is really good! This is a unique location at Disney California Adventure, where you need someone with a Disneyland Magic Key annual pass to make a reservation. While it's not as prestigious as Club 33 or 1901 Lounge, it's a neat perk for passholders. You also get a great view of California Adventure, since this is on the second floor. This was our first visit in a long time. Reservations are suggested but definitely not required. We have been able to do walk ins plenty of times and tonight was not an exception. This was an Oogie Boogie night so we wanted to relax before the event. It is located upstairs, but here is an elevator. This is a casual ambiance with different views depending on where you sit. There are restrooms upstairs. Their menu changes by seasons and we have gotten to try multiple items. The charcuterie board is probably our favourite because of its consistency and variety. Their food is usually ok, not great. The Trattoria downstairs is for sure better. On this instance we had the arancini and were definitely disappointed, we should've gone with our charcuterie. They do offer multiple expensive cute looking drinks and mocktails. We typically order a bottle of wine. Overall it is like most Disney restaurants in their price and ambiance. Food: Great meal at DCA! For starters the Fonduta was meat/bread/potatoes with a gooey cheese mix that was awesome to start out the meal. Along with my Millionaire's Manhattan (cinnamon boozey joy of a drink) it made for a great start. The Panzanella salad was a great fresh add to the meal as my family ate family style off the plate. Following this was the Oslo Buco with a tender fall off the shank pork over a creamy bed of polenta made for a delisious dish. The Bucatini Alle Vongole was a great pasta dish with well steamed clams (not my favorite but it was still good). Overall this new menu is "Top Notch, Top Mouse"! I'm really disappointed with our experience at Magic Key Terrace. Our party of 6 had a reservation at 5:10 PM on a Sunday, but despite arriving on time, we weren't seated for about 35 minutes. This was especially frustrating because we had another scheduled commitment afterward. The situation felt very disorganized from the start. There appeared to be only one server and just two people managing the front desk, which made things feel chaotic and understaffed. When we asked for an update, we were told there weren't many tables that could accommodate a party of six--but that's something that should be managed better when accepting reservations of that size. To make matters worse, when we were finally taken to our table, the manager told us to "walk up slowly," and when we got there, the table and the area underneath had not been cleaned--it was visibly dirty. That was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. We didn't even order any food. Overall, the lack of organization, long wait despite a reservation, and cleanliness issues really impacted our experience. I expected much better. We weren't greeted by our server and we ended up leaving since it was a horrible experience. It needs to be improved. Hopefully. read more

We recently dined at Magic Key Terrace in Disney California Adventure and left extremely disappointed with the overall experience and service. To start, we had a reservation at 5:40 PM and arrived on time, but were not seated until about 45 minutes later. Unfortunately, the delays didn't stop there--we weren't served our food until over an hour past our reservation time. We'd didn't mind not getting best view seating but we didn't appreciate being seated right in front of the staff exit where mops and brooms were visible in our periphery. The service from our assigned server was noticeably lacking. She rarely checked in on us, and basic requests were not handled in a timely manner. For example, when she asked if we needed shared plates, we said yes--but they didn't arrive until we were essentially finished eating. The only positive part of the service came from Diego, who wasn't even our main server. He was attentive, refilled our water regularly, and checked in to make sure we were taken care of. As for the food, it was underwhelming. We ordered a charcuterie board from the "shareables" menu and an arugula salad--both simple items that should not have taken long to prepare. The portions were far smaller than expected and not appropriate for sharing, especially considering the price. Speaking of price, the bill felt extremely overpriced for both the quality and portion size of the food, as well as the poor service we experienced. Overall, this was a very disappointing visit. As Inspire Key holders, we expected a much higher level of service and quality, and unfortunately, this experience did not meet those expectations. read more

You can make a reservation ahead of time or join their walk up list depending on availability. They have higher end food options and the portion sizes are decent. The Bucatini Alle Vongole had a bright lemon flavor and was packed with clams (both in the shell and out of the shell. The Pork Milanese Al Marsala came in a very large portion. However, the pork was over-seasoned for my taste and the angel hair on the bottom was on the mushy side. The Hazelnut Affogato Cocktail was supposed to come with chocolate sauce, but they didn't tell me that they were out of it until after it arrived. The cast member gave me chocolate from her personal stash, which was very sweet. I just wish I had known and then I would have ordered it on another day. I recommend this as a relaxing place to eat if you are able to go. I will note that you do pay for the ambiance and the price is a little bit higher. Our first time dining here. Looking at the menu, it didn't seem that enticing. But we wanted to try and let me tell ya it was a good experience. What made our day was Quiana, our server. I'm a brand new Magic Key Holder (out of state) and booked a 3:30 meal for after my half marathon in the morning. My friend & I had a great experience. Our server was attentive, friendly, and great. The terrace is fully covered but open to the outside. They also have MK exclusive merch available for purchase. We ordered the Fonduta to start, which ended up coming out a few minutes after our entrees. The mix of cheeses were delicious, as well as the chorizo slices, toasted sourdough, and potatoes. We had some pretty good cheese pulls! I ordered the Almafi Sunset Paloma and it was so refreshing! Highly recommend. My friend tried mine and ended up getting her own to go. She ordered the 5...4...3...2...1 originally. I also ordered the n/a Heimlich Chew Chew Juice to go which was rather sweet. I ordered the gnocchi for my main and enjoyed them. Update 2/8/25 The menu has changed from 2024. In the 1st quarter of 2025, there are selections for seafood (a shrimp pasta), fried chicken (Cornish Game Hen), and beef (a short rib). There short ribs were very tender. The reduction sauce went well with the short ribs. It gave the ribs a very succulent flavor. The veggies were pretreated perfectly. The Cornish game hen was surprisingly tender. It cooked perfectly was seasoned just right. A great selection to choose from. The service was very good. Our server was attentive and friendly. The Terrace was a bit hectic today, so props to the staff. Many guests were as excited as we were to try the new items here, which hadn't changed in a few years. We looked over the menus and ordered a few drinks and an appetizer to start. We enjoyed the Lime Thyme and Mint Julep Cocktail; both were refreshing. One in our party had a Hazelnut Affogato Dessert Cocktail for dessert, which they said was good, too. For food, we had a mix of items, all of which were delicious and satisfying. No leftovers were claimed. We ordered the Arancini, Panzanella, Roast Half Chicken, and the Bucatini Alle Vongole. Serving size won't leave you feeling a food coma. The amount was just right for me, but those with bigger appetites may feel underwhelmed. We had a couple of kids (5 and under) in our group, and they enjoyed their Cheese Pizza and Slider meals, which came with fruit, veggies, yogurt, and a drink. They cleaned their plates also. Overall, it was another pleasant experience, and our server was kind and attentive. The food and drinks come out promptly despite a busy lunch. Lastly, the high prices reflect the Disney resorts, which is no longer surprising. Terrace is still an enjoyable treat occasionally. read more

We had dinner here as a group of three. The ambiance is beautiful. This restaurant sits on a patio elevated above Disney's California Adventure Park, so the view is stunning. This restaurant is located in the park though, so you have to have a park reservation for that day to eat here, and this restaurant is exclusive to those with annual passes, plus their guests. Our server was nice and attentive and had good knowledge of the menu. To drink, I had the Avalon Cooler. This drink was delicious! It was light and sweet but not syrupy, like a fancy strawberry lemonade. For dinner I had the panzanella salad. It was delicious and fresh, which was just what I needed after a few days of theme park food. My friends had the Roasted Half Chicken and the Linguine Allá Vongole which they enjoyed. I finished my meal with the Hazelnut Affogato cocktail. This was a normal affogato with a shot of liquor. The ice cream for the affogato was preformed into solid balls so that it didn't melt immediately, which was a good thought, but it was actually too solid. The ice cream barely melted at all so instead of mixing with the espresso, it was chunks of ice cream floating in espresso. Also, the scoop of ice cream was too small, especially with the double shot of espresso. Overall though a good meal as far as theme park dining goes. read more

As long as someone in your party has a magic key pass you can eat here. We have dined here several times and there hasn't been a dish where I'm like we have to go to get it. If Lamplight Lounge is open I would rather eat there. Most of the portions for the food are small. Kids meal looks like it had a visit at pyms kitchen. My wife likes getting the drinks. Service is usually good. However, food has taken longer time to come out than other places. It's located on the second floor of Wine Country Tattoria. Depending on where you sit it has a nice view of the park. We keep coming back because of my wife. read more

Magic is definitely not in the air at the Magic Key Terrace. For a key holder exclusive place, my expectations were definitely much higher than what I got. You only need one person in your party with a magic key to dine here. We came on a Sunday evening, and the place wasn't really packed (which should have been telling). We were seated in the back corner away from most of the other parties, which made us feel like we got missed/forgotten throughout our visit. Service was painfully slow. To get drinks, to get food, to get a server's attention, all of this took the whole gang's effort. Our server herself was sweet and even tried to jump into one our group selfies, but just the turnaround time for things was not it. Food wasn't anything special either, but I think we gobbled it up since we were hungry after waiting for so long. The only plate I can recommend is the Route 66 Fried Chicken. This isn't your typical breaded fried chicken but is a fried Cornish hen. The meat inside was juicy and tender, and the potatoes served on the side are delectable. Everything else was decent, just not worth the price. I did enjoy a glass of their Riesling though, but you can also just wine downstairs at Wine Trattoria. I don't have much to say for this one other than the service really ruined our experience. I would have much rather gotten a quick eat somewhere else in the park, but at least I can say I've tried it and used a magic key perk. Lamplight Lounge may be a better alternative if you're looking for full service dining in the park. read more

Great service! After check in, there's always a few minutes of a wait for them to text you, whether you're a few minutes early, on time or late. New menu for the season. I was looking forward to having the gnocchi but it was a bit chewy and not that soft tender pillowy texture. The spicy vodka tomato sauce with basil helped. The osso buco was so much better. It was a bit fatty but that's normal. It was on a bed of creamy mozzarella polenta. The polenta was pretty good but a little bit gritty. The grilled broccolini was a bit burnt in places. The hot English tea with lemon and honey is my favorite. Our reservations were at 5:30 and we were lucky it wasn't too hot. This is a nice place to relax and try out new items on the menu with great views. read more
