I use Geets diner for business meetings and family breakfast dining. Always a great staff and good food. Highly recommend.

I was happy to see that GD had reopened, I was told by the manager/owner? that it had opened last March. I found out that was open a few monthsbefore I stopped when I saw a Geets Diner sign on the Atlantc City Expressway, and I wanted to stop and see if it was different than the old Geets (which I didn't like). Stopping for a very early breakfast coming back from a trip to Philly airport, I found service ok but the wait for food coming out of the kitchen seemed a lot longer than it should have been with only three other people in the place ( it opens at 7:00am and I was in the door at 7:05). Hotcakes with a side of scrapple, were good, and I will give the place a try for a future lunch . read more

I love there pot roast and beef stew on Sunday's and Monday's the ambiance is pleasing and great staff too!

Being turned away for dinner at 9:50 while there are plates on the table is a tad bit confusing. It also did not make much sense that we were offered to eat in the diner 5 minutes before we were told that food wasn't being served. Very disappointed and will not return. read more

This is a good size diner, with a dinner look, and a fairly good diner feel. Staff were friendly, food seemed to be made fresh, and portions were decent. My wife enjoyed the wedding soup and I think I liked the mozzarella wedges the most. The one thing I can say is that everything was kind of bland. Burger was juicy, but no flavor. Prices are a little high also. $15 for a burger and fries is high. The amount of items on the menu left me a little confused also. More than just they the normal diner fare. Went once with my mom waited over 15 min at table no " do you want coffee" no water , no acknowledgment that we were even at the table...we got up and left ( this was a week day around 10am). Went this morning Saturday 10:30am with Husband. Again sat at table, no coffee , no water, just sitting waiting. We finally got up and left. Will we give them a 3rd chance NOPE ! If you like long waits, whether they're busy or not, then go. But if you like to be acknowledged when you're at the table and at least get a coffee or water, find somewhere else to spend your hard earn money. read more

First time here in years. Was dying for some breakfast and this place didn't disappoint. Everything tasted great and was served quickly. Friendly service and the restaurant was clean inside. Reasonable prices and portions. All the baked goods upfront looked outstanding but after a 2k calorie breakfast I figured I'd pass. Pay up front type of diner. Don't go on there peak hours on the weekends. We went to this location on a Saturday afternoon around 1'ish. We got sat in the back dining area near the window. The tables was dirty and windows was covered with flying gnats. So, we kindly walked out after letting our waitress know the issue. She didn't seem to care one bit! read more

Community comes first at Geets. My 87 year old Aunt raves about the people, the food, and I can understand why. The portions are hearty. The choices are endless (and they will accommodate most requests). The deserts, OH the deserts!! But here's the true beauty of Geets - the people who work here. My Aunt is an independent old school Italian gal. In her heyday she would make the most unbelievable melt-in-your mouth food: Meatballs, briscolle, frutatta, just an amazing cook. She knows good food and is very hard to please. We come to Geets and there's a swing in her step. She is warmly greeted and treated like a queen. (Deservedly, so.) The team at Geets treats her like family and I love seeing her doted on. Their food is truly homemade and heartfelt. Every bite is as good as the next. I am grateful to the owners and this amazing team for caring for their patrons and taking the extra step to make all feel welcome. Special shout out to Amber who is an absolute GEM and goes above and beyond every single time. Thank you for all you do and giving my Aunt a home away from home. read more

Although I had a very good waiter, the establishment itself has gone down, the food could be better and it could be much cleaner, they used to be one of my favorites, the hostess should be cleaning the menus in between seating customers, there's always something sticky or dirty on the menus, there is a TV on the wall that is trying to get a signal, it's been stuck on stupid for at least three weeks. read more

This is a follow-up to a previous review I wrote. Previously I'd stated my omelet was filled with broken shells. This time, the omelet (Farmer's Omelet) was perfectly prepared, with delicious home fries and toast. No trace of shell in it. This is the Geets I've always enjoyed! And the omelet was huge! This is an old school style diner. It also has a large bar and outdoor seating. They have a wide variety of entrees and sandwiches. The all day breakfast menu is what brought us in. The server was friendly and polite. The hostess however seemed like she couldn't be bothered to seat us. Not a good first impression. The portions were a nice size and prices are fair. So I want to come to Geets for a while now. I haven't been since it was closed. So I arrive to be seated and was greet by a woman just coming to work. She had to put her pocketbook away and fix her hair. Then I was seated. Look through the menu and got Pancakes, eggs, bacon, scrapple, toast, and potatoes. The food was tasteless and not the traditional breakfast I am use to.. I had to send my tea mug back twice because it was dirty and apple juice was water down. I didn't want to continue to complain so I paid and left and will not return to this diner. Too bad, the best part of my time here was my waitress, Alyssa; she was so nice and accommodating. I did leave her a nice tip because she had nothing to do with food preparation. read more

The food was just OK average or a little bit less than average quality diner food, well I did not like about this restaurant is how they trick the customer. There's a variety of omelettes on the menu, not a whole lot but there's some but if you order anything that's slightly different than what is listed the price almost doubles because it's a make your own omelette and the price jumps up to $12 when the other omelettes are about $6.50, I don't think it's right and I think it's taken advantage of the customer so I will never go back there again read more

I've looked for a regular diner in the area for years. I skipped over Geets because I thought it was closed or partially closed during Covid, and we ate here 15 years ago and it was ok. But almost everywhere I go in south Jersey the food and atmosphere has been subpar in terms of diner food. Today I decided to try Geets again. Wow! The Christmas music, the cleanliness and the food was great. The staff was welcoming and helpful. No politically correct stuff here. It was very old fashioned. Similar to my past in the now defunct South Philly Melrose diner and present and past Penrose diner. I don't live far from here so when I'm looking for a good old fashioned standard breakfast I'll be here! read more

Dined here twice so far, 1st time had the Liver for Dinner, I love Liver, Pretty good actually. good size portion! 2nd time had a Gyro, was ok at best, would not recommend! Edible sure, but no Tzatziki Sauce!! Maybe I should of asked for it, but, That sauce is 100% Standard on a Gyro.. Was kind of small too in size. Servers Christina and Paul, were both Excellent servers, very friendly and helpful! Nice family vibe feel, definitely go back again, need to try their breakfast. read more

breakfast all day is a diner classic which geets has mastered! food was delicious, but there were a couple flies around the table the entire time. i only had to guard my food a couple times, so it was still worth going. i would fight off the flies again if i had to, but please solve the fly problem. service was great, the host was amazing and our server was so friendly!! good value read more

Been coming to this diner since I was young. This place closed down years ago and it was opened again within the last few years and the food and ownership is way better. Love their soups especially the crock of French onion. Their sandwiches and burgers are great now along with their open faced sandwiches. Today I got the special, Hungarian goulash which was absolutely great. Can't wait to come back next Friday and get the special beef stroganoff they make. read more

Welp, I stopped in for dinner and ordered a stuffed salmon dish with angel hair pasta on the side and was served a stuffed flounder with linguini. I had to advise another waitress because the original waitress who served me never made it back to my table to ask if everything was ok. Had to send my food back which I dislike doing and waited for the stuffed salmon. Missed my movie due to the longer wait and ended up having to take the food home. Really disappointed. I'll give them another try and I hope to have a better experience. read more

This was our first time at this diner. Our waiter Jayden was the best waiter I ever had. The food was phenomenal! Our breakfast was the best breakfast I ever had! Fresh homemade! Even the toast melted in my mouth. The steak was phenomenal!! The pancakes were so fluffy and delicious. I absolutely would recommend going here before anywhere else. Hours are 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM, we arrive at 8:55 pm on a Saturday Night and were told they are no longer serving food. Why have posted hours if you are not going stay open? In this time when restaurants are struggling with Covid-19 why would you turn away paying customers? This diner is under new ownership & just reopened this year. My husband & I decided to grab a late dinner here. It is very nicely remodeled inside & clean. There were just a handful of customers there on a Saturday night around 8:00 p.m. My husband wanted eggs & so he ordered an omelette. He said it was good. I ordered the Turkey dinner with stuffing & mashed potatoes. The Turkey & potatoes are real, not processed. It came with a soup or salad. I chose the chicken soup. My meal was just okay. Typical diner fare. I have yet to have a favorite diner in the region. We decided to try their homemade desserts. Again, just okay. The apple pie slice was a wee bit under filled & the chocolate cake had very sweet buttercream frosting. (Our waitress forewarned me) We would consider eating here again, but I'd like to see them up their game to above average food. Currently they are in line with all the other diners in the area. Our server went the extra mile. She warms the plates before the food is served on them & is very friendly & attentive. Went to the lounge in Geets diner. Had Stuffed peppers which was fabulous. My compliments to the Chef! I also had a great martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Convenient parking around the back of the diner to access the lounge entrance. Wonderful food, great drinks and very friendly service. Brandi the bartender was great. The lounge atmosphere was fun and cozy. Will definitely be back!!!! read more
