    Gelato of the gods

Usually 5-star. Today the gelato was mushy and sticky. Not hard at all. Portion sizes also seemed much smaller. Overall a disappointment when it is usually top notch.

Stopped by on a Saturday night with a friend for a sweet treat and had a great time! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was super cute and there was plenty of outdoor seating to choose from.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were helped very quickly, and the line was not very long. in fact, we took longer to decide what we even wanted than it did to get to the front. My friend got the mixed berry, vanilla cake, I got the Oreo cheesecake, and we split the red velvet marquise the mixed, very vanilla cake was phenomenal, same with the Oreo. We got the red velvet marquise because we thought it would be fun to try something new, it was definitely interesting! Didn't get much of a red velvet or cream cheese flavor, and the outside was very jelly, but it was still fun to try. The server was really nice, helped us decide between a few options, and answered our questions really well. Altogether this was a fun, quick outing For our weekend.

Really enjoyed this place and all the different options of dessert they had. Definitely something for everyone. My friends and I shared a huge crepe and it was delicious! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was really good and vibes were great as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't go wrong with dessert!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice place with good atmosphere and friendly staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The mango sorbet was very tasty and my friend liked the pistachio gelato. Next time I plan on trying a crepe

Stopped in for dessert after dinner about a block away and the shop was relatively empty for a Sunday evening. Extensive menu, quick service and the most delicious looking desserts you could find! We ordered a panna cotta to dine in on, and then gelato to go. The panna cotta was my absolute favorite: well balanced and not too sweet. It was a vanilla cake with I think Nutella which was so good! We did pick up gelato to go, and the raspberry fell a little short to our expectations but I think that's personal opinion more than anything. Thr passion fruit was an absolute favorite and if in the area we would 100000% get it again.

Service was great. The ice cream was delicious. The tiramisu and fruit cake were just okay. However, the chocolate marquise was fantastic. Highly recommend that if you like chocolate.

An's Dry Cleaners lines remain notorious so my friend recommended this spot. AMBIANCE: Parking: Street parking, some metered, some not. Seating: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside seating, good for small groups, individuals, and pairs. Room for about 20 people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Vibes: Welcome to the gayborhood. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside, the vibe is cozy yet modern--comfort meets artisanal. There's plenty of seating, soft lighting, and a mix of locals and dessert-lovers unwinding.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The scent of gelato and freshly made pastries fills the air which makes you want to say "yaaaaas"[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] FOOD/DRINKS: Honey Lavender (Recommend) Smoooth. A lite floral feel that's subtle, elegant and soothing. Hazelnut Cremino (Recommend) You got to love that chocolate hazelnut taste. Creamy and sweet. I think the hazelnut and lavender gave it a good balance. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Friendly and quick service. Brian was great! TL; DR OVERALL: 4 Stars. Good flavors, selections, all at a reasonable price. Figaro Dessert Café brings creative, high-quality desserts to San Diego. The gelato stood out for flavor, texture, and presentation. If you're in the mood for something special (and dessert-focused) in North Park, this place is a strong call. I'll definitely be back to try more of their flavor lineup. TIPS: * Go with friends so you can share multiple desserts and sample more flavors.

Located right in the heart of Univ Ave, Hillcrest, this dessert cafe has a wide variety of deliciousness to choose from. They def have a lot of GF options on the baked goods and Vegan sorbet options on the gelato side! They also have yummy crepes which we are looking forward to try next time, as well as their hot chocolate! Bookmarked!

I love gelato. Today was a very good day. We'd had some dinner and we decided we wanted dessert so we took a walk. We saw some interesting places, and I saw the gelato sign. Many gelato places will also have espresso. This place, however, has a wonderful variety of goodies. They do crêpes, they have all sorts of little chocolates and some other pastries, but I ordered gelato. They had a really nice variety of flavors and I appreciate that It didn't have that artificial color enhanced look. I decided to have a single scoop of a mango and it was delicious. Now I'm not an expert so I couldn't tell you how authentic it is, but I will tell you it was yummy. I had the mango gelato and was such a nice balance of mango and creamy without being overly sweet I debated on getting an affagato however, I wanted to avoid the caffeine however I think this place probably makes a very nice one Some of my party had a latte and they really enjoyed it The girl who waited on us was very helpful and made us feel incredibly welcome. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And I'd love that there were two cows on their ceiling, but upside down. Such a conversation piece[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

Passionfruit Tart and Mango Strawberry Cheesecake
    Winnie L.

Pro-tip: They are one of the dessert places that open pretty late so it's a great option. Only a street parking available. Highlights: I was pleasantly surprised by the passionfruit tart. I thought the flavor was not too sweet or too tangy but just right and the tart crust was really crispy and yummy. Lowlights: I do think it's a bit overpriced especially for the size. It's a bit odd to me how they still have such a huge selection even just 30 minutes until close. It makes me wonder how fresh the desserts are.

Reminds me of a couch but pretty good

Hmm not really sure what happened to the quality of service at this place but the two guys today really couldn't get it together. We LOVE the desserts here but somehow the two guys working today just didn't know what they were doing. Boxed up our desserts, left them on the counter and continued to serve other people coming in. Then one asked the other "bro, whose are these?" And the other had no idea until we spoke up. Honestly, wtf. Order on DoorDash. Probs a better experience than coming in person.

Sometimes dessert is a work of art, sometimes it's just something yummy to satisfy a sweet tooth. This visit proved to be more on the artistic side than just sweet. Everything in the display case is absolutely beautiful and I wish I had time and physical capacity to try them all. But alas, I have my limits and had to stick with what I came for-the crepe. The nice man behind the counter whipped up a couple of delicious crepes for us-I had the banana, strawberry and Nutella and my wife had a cheesecake something or other. They were both sooo good and plenty large to share. I should have stopped halfway through, but I pushed myself to finish it. The whole thing. Yup, I ate it all. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This cafe is beautiful, clean and a little dark. I know it's probably mood lighting, but would have loved just a touch more light.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] However, as we got used to it, we settled in and enjoyed our mid-morning indulgence. I'll definitely be back to try some of those beauties in the display case.

Fígaro, one of my favorite sweet treat spots in north park. I'm always guaranteed something yummy. Either gelato or a crepe or a chocolate marquis, there's so much to choose from and you can't go wrong with anything you choose. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store is always clean and the staff is always friendly and helpful :)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Pizza was good, but soggy in the middle. The pasta was good, no complaints there. The sandwich was very lacking in the meat department... It was basically a bread and arugula sandwich. Had very low expectations for the gelato to begin with seeing as the colors were extremely unnatural and the way it was heaped was a clear indication to me that it is not legitimate gelato and unfortunately, I was proven very right. I got the strawberry so that my toddler could have a few few bites and it was so unnatural and weird tasting that she didn't even want any... And if that doesn't say something! My husband got the coffee flavor and he literally took three bites and threw it away as well. I will say, though, on the food front, the prices are reasonable here all things considered, but maybe stick with pasta... based on everything As a whole though, you can likely get a much more legitimate Italian meal somewhere else in the area, but it will probably cost you more.

We thought most italian places would provide some sort of complimentary bread, but this place did not. We ended up ordering the Carbonara, Fusilli Alla Vodka, Pappardelle, and Salsiccia pizza. Each were fantastic, but the family really enjoyed the Fusilli and the Pappardelle the most! The short rib meat was extremely tender and flavorful.
