Late night ice cream stop after the Botanic Gardens really hit the spot. Solid gelato on The Hill (seems like it was the Little Italy of St Louis?) and we got to explore a neighbourhood that we otherwise might've missed. I ordered the espresso chip and blueberry, unusual pairing but I really liked it! My friend's hazelnut had swirls of chocolate fudge and that was actually a GOAT

What a sweet treat to end our lunch on The Hill. Gelato flavors were varied and our selections were delicious. Customer service spot on and plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. Perfect for a laid back Sunday afternoon!

Went out for some late night ice cream with some friends and decided to check out this gelato shop. This was the first time that I've tried Gelato and it was thick and creamy. The gelato shop offered many different flavors to choose from. I decided to taste the pistachio gelato and it tasted good, but for some reason it was brown instead of green. After tasting the pistachio gelato it didn't taste like pistachio, but more like a subtle chocolate flavor. I'd try other flavors next time, but I don't think I'd try their version of pistachio next time.

Fantastic gelato! I was surprised they didn't have pistachio flavor when I visited, but they offered a slew of alternatives. The amaretto flavor is a must have! A small cup for $4.25 comes with the option of 1-2 flavors. The gelato is rich and creamy. There is plenty of seating inside and out in the back patio. Easy street parking. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2024

This place was recommended to us by the sweet staff over at Charlie IMO's and I am so thankful for that recommendation because the coffee was incredible!!!!! Perfect balance between sweet and creamy and coffee. My fiancé got the affagato which he devoured in a couple of minutes. Wish we lived nearby to be here on the daily. Thanks so much for the wonderful experience!

Came in on a Saturday night for dessert, surprisingly crowded given how cold it was. Food 4.5/5: Got the piccolo with a mix of hazelnut and biscotti. Both flavors were quite good. I do feel like there weren't a ton of flavors overall, didn't have my favorite pistachio but quality seems pretty high nonetheless. Service 5/5: friendly and helpful, happy to let us try multiple flavors. Ambiance 4/5: separate area for seating with a cafe vibe, clean and nice given the weather but nothing that wowed Value 4/5: pretty good price for how much they pack into the container. Overall 4.5/5: fair value and high quality gelato with somewhat limited flavor options, would come back if I was in the area. Parking: street

The gelato here is absolutely amazing coupled with its proximity to a beautiful fountain in the back. We went during the day on a hot Saturday afternoon and easily found seating inside. There is a large oversized patio in the back. I'm told this gelato rivals the best of what is available in Italy. Our service was a 10/10 with the employees helping us narrow down our decision using the side-by-side method. Pro tip: You can get side-by-side flavors to make narrowing your choices easier.

I attended this place as part of a food tour I was on. They had a number of unique and traditional gelato flavors. The staff was friendly and patient. I went with a small cup of toasted almond. This was very fulfilling and tasty. It tasted exactly like the good humor bar, which was what I wanted. The toasted almond flavor was not too overpowering, which was something I did not realize until I was finished. I also tried the root beer float flavor. That did not disappoint either. Like the toasted almond, this was not too much either. It had a subtle taste, which was enjoyable. Will I go back? No doubt.

My Macchiato was good and the service was fast and friendly. Prices seemed to be reasonable. Parking is TOUGH though. Very cute shop. Would love to try some of the gelato!

I was even more pleasantly surprised to see MUD\WTR on the menu, I recently quit drinking caffeine, and of course I have seen a lot of ads for mushroom coffee, I very much appreciated the opportunity to order it here as opposed to having to buy it online to try it. Personally, I liked the mushroom coffee, I have always drank coffee black and I appreciated the flavor of the mushroom, turmeric and additional spices.

It took all my strength to not buy one of everything but I selected on four picks for my first of two visits, as well as a bag of their sourdough shortbread that I just finished today and am already missing. I was also given a taster of their apple crisp with my first order, which was very delicious and will be a great addition to any holiday meal. The maple glazed doughnut was soft, a perfect classic. The cranberry ginger jam was delicious and punchy, but could have used a little something on the actual doughnut to balance out how strong it was. I enjoyed both kolaches; the everything seasoning one is well reminiscent of the classic bagel and schmear with its cream cheese center, and the three cheese bacon had good sized strips of bacon baked in. Perhaps my favorite was my take home item from the next day, their cinnamon roll. I warmed it up a little, not that it needed it. Pillowy soft with a delicious frosting. I also miss that already too. I really appreciate that you can also pick up local eggs and milk from this spot with Fed From The Farm. As you can see, it was very busy around 9am when I came in Saturday morning, but the line moves quickly and there's space in the back to wait for your order. The parking lot is small and fills quickly but nearby street parking seems feasible enough. Really glad I got to check out this spot!

I'd just done a training run that began and ended at the shoe store across the street. At the conclusion, I was given a Paloma-flavored non-alcoholic beer, courtesy of one of my running group's sponsors, but what was I supposed to do with that? It was decided that we needed coffee. (How ironic, by the way. Receiving a free beer from your sponsor.) We seem to have gotten there just in time. There was already a healthy crowd of people who apparently weren't runners, based on their physique (lol jk), and several people from our running group arrived after we did. People apparently like this place. The vibe is quirky and independent, with a lot of random decor, including a Blues Brothers poster and a sign declaring that the Teletubbies are welcome, and a lot of local-interest signage and artwork. People in the City love to remind themselves that they're in St. Louis. You never see anything like that in my native West County. Truth be told, I wouldn't even go into a coffee shop unless someone else suggested it. It costs less at QT. But I figured when in Rome. I wasn't about to get a sandwich, in part because I wasn't hungry, and in part because I'm always wary of food from places that specialize in coffee, but I figured I'd try one of their fancy coffee drinks instead of just a regular coffee. I went with something called a Zippity Do Da, or something to that effect. It was a latte, served hot or cold (I of course went with hot), with... if I'm not mistaken, peanut butter, honey and mocha. I liked the idea that there was a peanut butter element, in part because I couldn't imagine what that would be like. Peanut butter, even the welfare version you get at Aldi, is at least somewhat viscous. Was this going to be more like a milkshake? That could be gross, and grossly caloric, canceling out any benefit of my training run. Of course I was going to drink it anyway. Turns out that the peanut butter was the element that was least prominent in the overall taste of this drink, though you could in fact taste it. I found it impressive that, if you concentrated hard enough, you could detect elements of peanut butter, honey and mocha. It's like when you purchase a fancy bottle of wine, from, perhaps, the aforementioned Aldi, and you really can taste bits of oak, vanilla, campfire and a slight nuttiness. No Diddy. These people are true coffee artists, the cafe equivalent of people who work at Subway. I'm at the nearby shoe store every once in a while, so maybe I'll return. I might even cop a bagel.
