The pricing I was charged was a bit more than what was on their menu, which I hadn't noticed until after the fact. :-/ When the sandwich arrived it was not at all what expected. I looked up the sandwich months ago and it appeared to be a juicy chicken breast between sliced cabbage on thick, fluffy bread. What I got was some beat up, flattened GREEEEEEASY gummy chicken that wasn't the least bit appetizing. It reminded me of frog legs and I was pretty much grossed out after the 2nd bite. The bread was exactly the same as Astesano Bakery Bread and didn't seem "home made" as their menu states. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't (home made) but it sure seemed like the same bread I buy at Safeway. Needless to say I was BEYOND bummed out. I guess that's partially my fault though, I mean... I saw a picture they used to have posted on their menu (it's no longer there) and had expectations that it was going to be exactly the same, which it most certainly was NOT. If I could sum it up in 2 words: Gummy & Greasy. Yuck. The best part was the cabbage so, that's what I ate and ditched the rest of the "sandwich" to the trash. So yeah, $13 + tip for some cabbage. Awesome. With that said, I don't recommend this place for the Sando's but! I may return for the egg rolls. They look good in the pictures however since I got 100% duped this time around, I think I'll ask if anybody I personally know has tried the egg rolls first before I spend any more money here. I do like their outdoor dining and if they could move the ginormous trash bins away from the outside dining tables it would be a great place to dine (who wants to eat next to trash cans??) I'll end on a positive note and say, I did like that they have an option of indoor or outdoor dining, if they move the trash cans, that would be my preferred place to eat.

Today I just tried the Hmong sausage and Thai tea. The lady working was sweet and let me sample the tea to test its sweetness. I think it's spot-on. The sausage is perfectly juicy, spicy and savory. It's rich, flavorful, and reminds me of the holidays.

I first of all am a huge yogurt fan! I have lived in Chico my whole life and I have always loved going to Jon N Bon's for my frozen yogurt needs but since Gelayo came in town I have to give it to them hands down as the best frozen yogurt shop in Chico!! To go along with their frozen yogurt they also serve Gelato which is irresistible in my opinion. The toppings at this store are great and they don't melt all over there holder like I have seen at other yogurt shops. The service is amazing every time I come in. The workers always have a smile on their faces and are so willing to help you whenever you need it. Gelayo is with out a doubt a 5 STAR yogurt and gelato shop in Chico. I bring by friends and family in all the time and we all just cant get enough. The frozen yogurt was said do melt by one comment post but from what I'v witnessed it doesn't melts faster then any other frozen yogurt I'v had. It's creamy texture melts in your mouth with a flavor that just makes you want to have more and more. This is a day to day treat I just cant resist. Great Shop!!!! read more

Gelayo Frozen Yogurt is by far the greatest Frozen Yogurt shop Chico has to offer. With the combination of Frozen Yogurt, Gelato, Boba Drinks, and a new tea and coffee line this shop is here to stay! I have been here numerous times and have been impressed every time. All the Gelato flavors are made by hand every morning! The taste you get from freshly made Gelato and Frozen Yogurt every morning is irresistible. The employees there are so helpful and so kind! They know you by name and are always asking how your doing. This place is great for all ages. Kids, teens, adults and seniors will love this place! Located in the east avenue Safeway shopping center next to Pleasant Valley High School. Just look for the Monument or the conner store that looks like candy land landed in Chico. If you haven't tried this place yet you are missing out. I have been eating yogurt for many years. Normally, everywhere I travel I try a yogurt store in that location. My first impression of this yogurt store is the store is immaculate. That to me tells me someone is on top of the business. I found the service very friendly and the selection was great with 6 yogurt machines and 12 flavors. But get this they not only have great yogurt but they also make their own gelato. Wham !just like that I fell in love with this store. Plenty of seating, bright, and hold on....53 toppings for the yogurt, so something for everyone. You owe it to yourself if your in chico to visit this store and try their yogurt and gelato. Believe me I am 65 years old and I know what great tasting yogurt taste like. You won't be sorry you found this one. read more

Great Great Great! Gelayo Frozen Yogurt is one of the greatest frozen yogurt shops Chico Ca. has ever seen! This Frozen Yogurt shop has every thing you need. They serve hand made Gelato prepared daily. With all the new frozen yogurt shops going in now this is by far my favorite. My family loves going here for desert after dinner or just for the heck of it. The owners keep this place very clean. With 6 frozen yogurt machines to chose from this is the largest selection Chico has. I have never had boba tea before but when I tried it was great! I 110 Percent recommend this place for everyone. I used to be a Jon & Bon's lover but I have now switch to Gelayo Frozen Yogurt for all my yogurt and gelato needs! read more

My family has been coming here since they first opened and we think they are wonderful in every way. The owners are so welcoming and kind, and their Gelato and frozen yogurt are amazing, and they have SO MANY toppings to choose from. I love this of the beaten path yogurt shop. You can request boba as a yogurt topping. It is soooo good! This is cleanest yogurt place I've been to and the topping selection is amazing.
