Tried to purchase a new GV70 at two other Genesis dealers closer to my home, but just could not agree with them on price. The difference was $500. I called Genesis of Braintree and told them what I was willing to pay and what I needed for my trade. John the GM said I'll take the deal. I showed up the next Saturday and the deal was done. There are Genesis Dealers that are closer to my home. I drove to Braintree because I liked the way they interfaced with me during the initial car search / negotiation. I did my research and Eric (SM) answered all my questions via email without any type of standard sales tactics or pressure. He kept in touch without being intrusive, and most important - he never left me hanging waiting for an answer to my questions. I was pleasantly surprised when he was on vacation that John (GM) stepped right in to assist. John was also very good to work with. I should also mention there was another gentlemen who spent 50 minutes with me in the car going over the features / functions. He was very good and made the "picking up" process that much better. I wish I remembered his name. I would have stayed local if that same sense of customer focused mentality and quick replies was experienced. So far I love the car (G80), the ride is quiet and I like the combination of knobs and touch controls. The large screen was a concern, I thought it would be distracting. I now like it very much. As far as the space, the new showroom / service area is well planned and provides a nice space to get work done while waiting for a service. After spending the kind of money you pay for a genesis you would think the service department would treat you with kid gloves,not this service department.The service manager is a joke ,he does not know how to treat customers,service writer should be titled as a secretary because he has no idea what he is talking about.Someone should clue them in that the service department is the back bone of the dealership. We just bought a car from Genesis of Braintree and it was the best experience we have ever had! We looked and test drove a bunch of different cars and three things stood out: 1. The service level at Genesis was much higher than anywhere else from the salesperson, manager and even other salespeople in the office when we walked in. This high level of service was experienced before, during and after we purchased the vehicle. 2. The car! We loved the way that it drove and the interior and options available. 3. Just got back from Genesis of Braintree. Just went in to look at GV 80 prestige. Sales manager Gary Keith and Eric couldn't have been nicer. No pressure great experience and I wound up buy a Prestige. Can't wait to pick it up in a couple of days. I was a little apprehensive when first drove up to their temporary building. Luxury car? Absolutely! Luxury service? Not even close. I leased a GV70 in April of 2023 and love the vehicle. I didn't want a car with matte paint, but got stuck with one due to low inventory and got to pay $1500 premium for it. After the sale service is definitely Hyundai level. My 8k service wasn't put into the calendar so I sat home with my thumb up my a$$ and then had to call to reschedule. My 16k service was even worse. They picked my car up Friday morning and then called me at 5:16 to tell me they couldn't return it until Momday. I was promised that the car would leave the dealership at 8 AM smart, but they didn't leave until 9:35. When I filled out their survey and complained, i was told they were really busy and should have considered an Uber or Lyft. This will be my last transaction with Genesis and Quirk. Beyond disgusted. read more

When purchasing my car, the dealer drove the car up for my test drive, and I informed them there was a large dent in the hood. They told me it was no problem and they would fix it to look brand new. They encouraged me to purchase the vehicle and they kept the car to fix it. They called me 5 days later to let me know my car was fixed. When I got there I still noticed there was a gap in the hood. I told them I wasn't satisfied. The service manager told me it was probably a defective hood and he would replace the hood and the joint (that now had visible marks from being fixed). They told be it would take about 3 weeks for the hood to come in and they would be in touch. One month later I called and they reported they hadn't gotten the hood in. Another month, same response. When I called back after 3 months, they said it hadn't come in but they would schedule to pick up my car because it should be in within the next 3 weeks. They picked up my car and 1 month later they returned it saying they fixed the hood, took care of a recall and replaced my cluster screen, which wasn't turning on correctly. The joint was replaced but the gap in the hood was no different. when I looked at the paperwork it says nothing about replacing a hood. I called and said I wasn't satisfied as I had bought a brand new car and expected it to look brand new. they told me they didn't replace the hood because the gap "looked a little better." I was extremely upset as I had waited more than 3 months for a hood that they had promised me. The service manager gave me a long reason for why this was going to be difficult (because the repair was "within Genesis specs") and I may not have my car for a while. I contacted Genesis and placed a claim. Buying a new car should be a quick and amazing experience. This was anything but that. read more
