I just left this Genghis Grill off of 161 in Grand Prairie the service was horrible. #1 when I walked in I stood at the bar approximately 5mins before this young man acknowledged me when he did he asked if I was dining in or take out I told he him take out he walked away not saying a word there was two people at a table and myself he walked away not saying . He finally returned took my order (2 egg rolls) I had to asked what my bill would be he stated $2.80 I gave him a $10.00 bill and when he returned he handed me $7.00 he walked away I'm standing there waiting for my change however he started doing something else more people have walked in waited until he finished and I inquired about my twenty cents he stated we don't have any change I stated to him why didn't you explain that when I handed you my money .Talked to the manager she was not any better. When I received my order he didn't bag it he attempted to hand it to me in the white container I had to ask him to bag my order reluctantly he did with attitude. Oh my gosh, Genghis is so yumm! Kinda pricey but really good. Chefs here cook the food perfectly. They are really low staffed right now so be patient. They really should make the bowls bigger for the price they charge. In a new shopping center that you can probably find some other things to do after lunch. I love genghis grill but I HATE this location! I'll drive 15 more minutes to the one in the highlands before eating here.. strictly because of the service. I've never seen a waitress roll her eyes in your face before until coming here, a skinny gothic girl (I think her name was anais) I was actually shocked, because all my mom did was ask her for a to go drink, AFTER we ate, and tipped her over 20$. Today I had a chef bowl General Tso it was really good . This may be my go to dish. I ordered it thru the app and it was ready when I arrived. The last one I had about 2 weeks ago was a build your own large with cabbage and potatoes and it was atrocious. I ended up throwing it away because it was too juicy the potatoes were too hard and the taste was too sweet.25$ totally wasted but the bowl today made up for it it was a small and it was just enough for an evening meal. read more

The concept of creating your meal to your specifications, is absolutely awesome. The food was awesome. After they took my order they ended up giving it away to someone else. They sa that they would give me another bowl for my inconvenience but when it came time to get the bowl they charged me anyway. My husband and I went here for the first time and we will never go back. We ordered an appetizer and two bowls. There was only two other tables being served in the whole place and about 6 cooks including a manager, plenty of people to get food out on time. We waited 30 min with no food and the server Breanna only brought out one bowl when she did come. My husband got half of a bowl and we ordered a large. The food was mediocre at best both of our bowls were dry and needed more sauce, very overpriced for what we got. The servers and the cooks were spending more time talking than making our food. When we asked for our appetizer to be taken off the bill and to get boxes and our check the server Breanna gave us attitude and made rude noises towards us. Easily the worst customer experience I have ever experienced. Our waitress Breanna was rude and didn't make me or my girl friend feel welcomed. The cook was also extremely rude and told me that I had to get a large and a regular size bowl because my regular size bowl was "over flowing" (this was after I had tipped him, keep that in mind) for 2 bowls and quesadillas we spent over $70. This place is a disgrace and the food is mid at best. Poor customer service, fine-dining prices and average at best food. I Would never recommend this place to anybody I care about. What I do recommend is Tons Mongolian grille, it's about 5 minutes away from this GG location. It's all you can eat, very good customer service and for 2 adults it's roughly $23 USD and they offer complimentary ice cream. The address to TONS is 4136 S Carrier Pkwy, Grand Prairie TX 75052. It's a newer establishment.. I can't speak to how it was pre-covid19 as this is my first time at this location but I'm just happy to sit inside a restaurant. They are operating in accordance with state guidelines so they're operating at 25% capacity. 75% of the tables have a marker ontop stating it's closed for social distancing. Ordering your food is definitely a big change.. You never touch the bowl. You still go down the line but they'll put in what you want. I would like to specifically give a shout out to a great employee... Mrs. Katana. She was the one putting our bowls together. She was sooo nice to my indecisive children. Great personality, very attentive and of course patient. I really appreciated it. Food wise, outstanding! Everyone loved it. It's been a hot minute since I'd been to Genghis Grill, the last one I went to was in Addison which may be why I haven't been back. This location is new, brightly lit, and has a much better parking situation. (Parking is a HUGE problem at the Addison location) Plenty of booth seating. There's also seating at the bar. TVs that can be seen from anywhere, but they had some sporting thing on, possibly football... I wasn't really focusing on that lol We were seated quickly and felt right at home. The Dragonfruit Sunrise drink was a $5 special and did not skimp on the alcohol (nice). The place got uber busy seconds after we arrived so the line behind us at the ingredient selection station got long fast! Which moved quickly despite how many people showed up suddenly. The food was well cooked. All the servers were super friendly and courteous. Our server was very attentive. I will certainly be back to this location again. The new rewards app is going to pay in dividends since they have specials on different days of the week, lower lunchtime prices, and orders to go. read more

The food was great! However this place needs a manager on-site. We walked in and they were ok busy, but hesitant to seat us right a way. Our waitress seemed new. I've been to other locations of Genghis trough out their years and never seen such a poor managed one. Their was dirty tables and just trash on the floors, really sad actually. We received our bowls and I was crushed because their bowls have gotten a lot smaller. We got up to create our bowls and their buffet area was not nicely clean. I didn't put much attention since I thought, maybe they had a lunch rush and haven't got to tighten up. BUT after waiting for our food for a while to cook, noticed the standing and chatting.
