We have tried their food multiple times now at the Ballard Farmers Market. We have gotten Sambusa's from Geni's multiple times, the last couple times we have also gotten the Pasteis de Nata too. We love both the Sambusa and the Pasteis de Nata.

Amazing food and great owners! A regular stop at the farmer's market! The food is so flavorful, and a decent quantity. The green chutney is quite nice as well, make sure you add it! The chai has interesting aromatics that are different from Indian masala chai, so that was interesting to taste. In the summer they have rosemary lemonade which is good too. The owners are very nice, one week they gave me free samples even though I already had food from another stall! Good people just trying to spread the love of great food!!

**vegetarian review** I went to Geni's in ballard farmers market. It comes highly recommended from a friend so i had to try it. I got the veggie option - which had 2 sides and one injera. Its. really delicious - i think i havent been to a bad ethiopian place ever. The only thing is its quite expensive, even for seattle area. I have been to other local restaurants which are substantially cheaper, so it didnt feel like worth the money. I understand however, the increasing price for ingredients etc farmers market location etc playing its roll, so I would still recommend trying it if you are in the market.

Had the food at the farmers market yesterday 7/14/24). Food was very tasty but the portion size is a complete rip-off. Meat entree was $16 for 5 little chunks of chicken and a couple pieces of potato with the anjera bread. Super disappointed. Oh also, don't forget to add tax and tip, so this portion could Mrs to about $20. I know prices are high at a farmers market but C'mon!

Yummy Ethiopian food with awesome staff! I saw the stand for Geni's Ethiopian Corner during the Night Market Festival in the International District, so decided to check them out, especially since they were grilling up veggies and meats that smelled oh so good! For the menu, there were only two options - vegetarian and a beef/meat combination, so went with the meat combination. The meat combination came with beef tibs, injera bread and choice of two sides; I chose kale and lentils. Although there was a line of people waiting for their food, the wait didn't take too long. And before I was given my plate, the chef kindly went over the two different sauces, a mild and spicy sauce that they had in bottles for people to help themselves to. My meal was good! I liked the beef tibs a lot more than I thought I would, as they were sauteed well, making the texture soft and easy to eat. I also liked that the meat was sauteed with onions and jalapenos, adding more spice to it. Kale and lentils were awesome sides! I really enjoyed both of them, but would say the lentils were my favorite part of the whole dish. They had a kind of spice to it, yet there was a nice citrus flavor to it, especially when you added the mild sauce from the bottle because it had a sour-like taste that was yummy! I haven't had much injera bread before, but it was a nice addition to the meal, particularly to soak up the sauce from the lentils and to roll up everything, like in a wrap. Glad to have tried Geni's Ethiopian Corner, as it provides solid Ethiopian food with a lot of flavor for around $12 on the go!

I love Ethiopian food and was delighted to know that there are quite a few Ethiopian restaurants in Seattle.

A Seattle dog is a quintessential food item while visiting Seattle. I am happy to say the Dog In The Park Seattle Dog lived up to my expectations. A crispy grilled dog, cream cheese, and plenty of grilled veggies. There are loads of toppings to choose from, too, but the young man serving up the dogs recommended just plain for the first time to really get the classic experience. I think some light mustard and maybe some saurkraut would have been a great addition. Friendly service and good recommendations for a first-timer, though. This location is located not too far from Pike Place and Westlake station. Convenient location. The price is great too! Go enjoy a Dog In The Park!

When I kindly asked for no cabbage and only onions the guy said "okay" only to turn around and give me a hot dog covered in cabbage. When I went to specify my order he just shoved the POS at me and turned to the next person. Mind you the vegetables are not premixed so he could've easily just thrown onions on the grill.

Several different options with hotdogs and polish sausage- my absolute favorites are the Seattle Dog and the Midnight Sophie. Whichever you choose- don't forget to ask for some of their homemade slaw to top that beautiful dog! I first found Secret Sausage outside the Owl and Thistle in Pioneer Square. Then outside the Clink after a game. It was an elusive Seattle street food treat- and in a lot of ways still is. They've expanded in recent years so sometimes you can find them at Microsoft campuses on occasion too. But I'll let you in on a little secret... they have a deal with the Thunderbird Tavern in Ballard. So if you're craving a Seattle Dog on a random Tuesday at 8:30pm for example... high tail it to the Thunderbird and get you one! Especially on a warm Summer evening: a Seattle dog with extra slaw, a glass of your favorite cold drink and a spot on the back patio - doesn't that sound so good right now?! Another favorite with Secret Sausage is The Firlander Sauce. While I personally am not a big fan of hot sauce, this spicy condiment has been a staple in our family for several years now. I've been told it makes a good gourmet hotdog over-the-top good! Ha! So if you're a hot sauce fan- it's a must try. Locally owned small business with a commitment to quality. Every hotdog I've ever had from them (ahem, and there have been a few over the years,) has been consistently good. Seriously, the best!
