Is what it says it is. Has the same food as Genji but also provides it TO GO. As a result of the TO GO premise, this place isn't somewhere to enjoy sitting at. With that being said, it was tolerable for my husband, myself, and our 8 month old to sit down and get a quick, tasty meal. They nickel and dime on the veggies but it will still end up being cheaper than going to a sit down hibachi place. If u really want to save money, do a combo meat, add a couple veggies, double the rice and share. I will be returning to get my hibachi fix without a wait. I'm always glad to try new places near me, so I don't regret coming here! My food was pretty tasty - I just felt that it wasn't a great value. I am typically a light eater; I am usually able to get about three meals out of Chinese take-out or a Chipotle burrito. This only gave me one meal and at comparable prices. Slowly becoming my favorite 'fast food' restaurants. Was really the first place I ate when I moved here. Love the Yum Yum and the fact that I can get a semi healthy lunch fast! I love hibachi and eat it at least once a week. I usually go to Hibachi Express but wanted to give Genji Go a try because I know the taste varies by establishment, as I've been to Ichiban, Sakura, Fujiyama, and Iron Chef all around Columbus. So I tried two locations in two weeks: Lewis Center and Gahanna. I got chicken once and steak the other time, both with mushrooms, onion, and zucchini. Both came with plenty of food. No issue with portion sizes. The online ordering for no-contact pickup was easy and convenient, and both of my orders were prepared on time and correctly. Great cost as well. However, I wasn't a fan of the taste. It was too spicy for me. Not sure what makes it that way, and that's just a preference. It's the same way for me with Iron Chef and Ichiban. I just prefer the tastes of Sakura and Hibachi Express. Overall I would still give the business an 8/10 due to the quality, quantity, timeliness, correctness, and price. Seeing how Genji has expanded, there's plenty of people who like their taste. Give it a try! read more

I am from the east side of Columbus so went to Genji often on special occasions! I was STOKED when genji go opened up out east and then in my hometown of pickerington! I went into the pickerington genji go all the time when I went back to town but was bummed there weren't any closer to Delaware. This one popping up so close to home has been AWESOME! I haven't been in this location for a few months and looks like the staff has changed a lot. As I walked in they staff was talking and laughing a lot which is good but not when they are not paying attention to the customers. Placed my order and was told to pay. As I waited I got excited that I was getting fresh steak and shrimp for my bowl but my second bowl was chicken that they had in a pan that looked dried out and had been there for a while. They put my yum yum sauce on the counter touching a dirty towel and really was off putting. As I watched them finish cooking my food they take the dirty pan that had dried juice from previous being used and put the fresh in then as they are scooping my stark into the bowl they drop some on the counter and they scoop it of the counter and put it in my bowl but as it goes into my bowl hits the girls hand that was holding the counter. I was very disgusted and didn't even eat my food after seeing all of this. The girls were all moving around collecting money then handling food. Horrible. The price is shocking for the bad cuts of steak and who knows what their brown sauce is. Spare yourself and do not eat here. Yuck.

If overpriced, poor quality, bland food is your goal, at least find a place where the service is good. Sure, I could have missed the employees that were cool, but the two I dealt with had lots of rules for how a customer should order and be processed through their assembly line. I placed a order thru door dash for my daughter and I from Genjigo and the order arrives on time as always with door dash. I did not eat my meal till later in the evening due to me being the medical field which was a chicken, steak and shrimp bowl and every single piece of steak was though as leather. I then called when I git off work and spoke with a gentleman named Garrett who I informed of the issue and that I still have the meal, he apologized and stated that he was a manger and sine the order was placed with door dash he can not resend it but I can come in and get the order replaced. I then called today several times to place the order and pick it up so to COVID19 and every time I called it rang busy. I get there there is line to the door and several delivery drives waiting also so it was like 11 people (and that was really to many for that little area) all together as I waited literally in line for 15 watching as they place orders on a table I watch at least 5 different delivery drives and customer walk up touch and handle the bags without gloves stating how long they have been waiting and with me being in the medical field I feel that is VERY UNSANITARY as we are all dealing with COVID-19. Finally a girl greets me I tell her the issue and name. She them gets a guys who tell me right away "OH NO!" Garret should not have told you that you would have had to call door dash. I then explained to him that I would not have came there to get anything replaced unless he informed me to. He then hit even rudder and said I can purchase two more meals and "if" Garret really said that then he can credit me my money back for the meals I buy today. So not only was he rude, had the worst customer service I've ever experienced he is flat out calling me a liar I asked him to write down his name and to take my name and number to have Garrett contact me when his comes into work the next day after he wrote down his name he then slammed a pen down for me to write my information on. Good food, a lot of portions but its a little on the expensive end; $8 of chicken/ rice $9 for steak/rice $10 for shrimp/rice Extras such as mushrooms/onion/zuchini are a $1 extra a piece The food sits in these pans and sits for god knows how long.... But the staff was so mixed i was shocked The boy who took my order had a hard time speaking and i could hardly understand him And the other boy who scooped rice and but meat and veggies in looked really stressed and made me feel a little uncomfortable But the manger did a really good job keeping the place under control even when it was busy But never the less the food was solid better than Jap steakhouse in my opinion read more

Food is ok, but the service is so inconsistent. It depends on who is serving the food as to how much or how little you get. We alway pay for double rice, yet I have learned that there is very little difference in double rice verses regular amount. Money not needed to spend for sure. Also, the steak amount varies so greatly. The first of three exact orders might get 2 scoops of steak, while the next will only get one and the last might get three. They need a more consistent measuring tool-- maybe like the cup they use to put the steak on the cooker. It is not cheap food, so for $15 a plate I expect to get a decent amount of steak in each dinner. read more

I love GENJI on Sawmill Road so when I saw this place I had to try it. everything was relatively fresh when we went to pick up dinner. The portions were good and prices lower than the actual sit down restaurant. Note the name- Genji GO- the food is intended to be picked up and taken to eat at home, its not designed to be sit-down.
