    a plate of sushi
    Brent W.

I lowered my rating because now I'm feeling sick from the food. Very disappointed. I was craving sushi and thought I'd give someplace new a try. The reviews looked good so I decided to order a shrimp tempura roll and an eel roll. I also saw a Thai beef dish that caught my eye so I slid it over to my cart. There were so many great sounding items on the menu, I thought I had found a new great spot. Unfortunately, things went down hill from there. First, the order was late. Secondly, the sushi was so poorly made it fell apart before you could even try to pick it up with chopsticks. Thankfully I already had chopsticks because they provided nothing in the bag for me to eat with. I'm so tired of restaurants not putting eating utensils in the bag. Now back to the sushi. I've honestly had better tasting sushi from Giant Eagle. The rolls were tiny and the didn't hold together. Thirdly, as for the beef dish, I was impressed at the amount of beef and mushrooms but unfortunately the dish lacked any taste. Did they forget to season this dish? I tried everything to make this dish taste good but without any success. Finally, I would recommend you skip this spot. There are so many other places to get great Asian fusion, this wasn't it for me.

This place is outstanding! I had the mixed hibachi and the Tom Yum soup. The freshness, the execution, the bang of spicy (I asked for it) and the overall experience were nice dining room , nice place for an elevated dining experience in Dublin.

While visiting my daughter in Dublin, Ohio, I stopped by the Blue Ginger restaurant for lunch while she was working that day. It is featured as an asian fushion culinary experience. The menu certainly reflects that concept. Chinese ,Thai, Japanese and Indonesian dishes stood out to me on the menu. I opted for a dish called Sambal Samba. What stood out in the dish was the use of Indonesian spices which include: turmeric, white pepper, lemon grass, ginger and Java tamarind. The dish had chicken, carrots, onions, mushrooms, jicama, eggplant, basil with a sauce that was flavored with Indonesian spices. It came with a choice of white,, brown or fried rice. You also had a choice of hot and sour or Miso soup. I chose the Miso soup. The lunch cost $10.99. I also had a cocktail called the Crouching Tiger ($7). I enjoy trying new foods and this was not a disappointment. The service was quick and efficent, the ingredients were fresh and the flavors were delicious. I had the Jasmine tea ($2.99) with my meal but felt that it was not flavorable enough so I took a star off. Additionally, the eating area was too dark for me. The wood for the tables and benches were dark and the lighting was dim. Parking was adequate in this strip mall. If you pay in cash there is a 10% discount on the entire bill.

My favorite Asian Fusion restaurant in Columbus! Great food, huge menu, and excellent service! I recommend the sushi for sure!

My boyfriend has been telling me about Blue Ginger for over a year so we finally went to check it out. Something he loves about this place is they have such a great variety from Chinese, to Thai, to sushi. I love all of these cuisines so I had a hard time deciding what to order! I ended up ordering shrimp shumai, wonton soup, and one of my favorite Chinese dishes, Singapore noodles. I used to live in San Francisco and loved going to Chinatown to get dim sum so I was so happy to have shrimp shumai as an appetizer. Yum! The wonton soup was a little different because instead of it being a chicken or pork based broth it was miso broth, so that was unexpected but enjoyable. The Singapore noodles were good, I enjoyed them but I will say they didn't taste like a signature Singapore noodle. Maybe because the Singapore noodles I'm used to have BBQ pork and shrimp and these had chicken, shrimp and beef. Also the curry flavor was different than that signature flavor I love. But I enjoyed the noodles and overall thought my food was really good. My boyfriend had Shanghai peppered chicken and I'm gonna say it was the most amazing Shanghai chicken I've ever had. I would go back there to have that for sure! Next time I might try some of their sushi as well! It was nice because if you pay cash you get 10% off. We will be back!

    Love boat for two

So, it's been a long time since I tried Blue Ginger. Our past few experiences weren't great, but they were several years ago now, so we decided to give the place another try. We only ordered the sushi love boat between us. I thought it was excellent. It was definitely more than two people can handle and could easily work for three. The quality was also quite good. Nice large pieces and fresh. The service was good as well. The selection of cold sake was a bit disappointing but other than that everything seemed pretty good. Our friends who were vegetarians seem to enjoy their dishes as well. I would rate it in the 4-4.5 star range for the sushi love boat.

While the menu looks expansive and the atmosphere inside the restaurant is nice and cozy, I wasn't super impressed with my food unfortunately. I ordered takeout and was quoted 20 min, but I arrived in 15 min and my food was done so that was good!! I didn't feel super welcomed by staff but again, I was just a takeout order so I understand. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and a miracle roll, and neither of them were my favorite sushi I've gotten. I also ordered a side of fried rice and it was dry and wasn't exciting. I can't say I'd recommend this spot from a takeout experience.

House special fried rice with all the meats - beef, chicken and shrimp

One of the upsides of being quarantined is that I've rediscovered some restaurants I haven't been to (and love!) in a while. Instead of getting food near my home, I went to Blue Ginger. The food is as wonderful as I remember; so fresh and delicious. The menu is broad across the Asian spectrum, so all palates can be satisfied. Our family ordered house special fried rice, udon noodle soup, and some sushi. The portions are large and food was packaged well for take out.

    Sushi Lunch

Food is hit or miss.I decided to post some pictures of things that were actually good. We have been coming here for a while and some of sushi is good. For example sweet potato roll. Last time we ordered fried rice and chicken, general tso, but it's just not good. Chicken is weird and I wouldn't eat it... Ambiance is nothing special, it's empty most of the time. People come here just for takeout for what we've noticed. Ok the other hand, service is responsive and quick. All together 3 stars for me.

I honestly love blue ginger, every time I go here I get fried rice with general tso chicken, and shrimp tempura sushi. The food is always hot and they give you enough food to last you and hold over til the next day. One of the best to do it so far for mealso the staff is always friendly and nice, they always greet right when you walk in. In this order I did order shrimp tempura but forgot to say sushi shrimp tempura, so if you like it the sushi way make sure to say sushi!(my boyfriend orders lo mein which always taste good)

Space is pretty but could use a fresh paint job (I'm being very nitpicking here). Cannot beat the lunch specials! It's $11 (if I remember correctly) for a soup and entree with either steamed or fried rice and the portions are full dinner portions. Everything was delicious! My companion got the special with chicken with vegetables and fried rice and a cup of egg drop soup. I got crab Rangoon (obsessed - they have the best I've ever had), salt & pepper dry pot chicken, and spicy wontons. My only complaint is a minor one but I didn't think the wontons were spicy at all. Next time I will ask for more spice. It's a solid choice for lunch or dinner and will definitely be back!

This was our second visit here -- it provides an efficient decor and service, and has both an American Chinese as well as Sichuan style Chinese food. This visit we got their fish filets in Sichuan spicy soup and their sautéed vegetables. The Sichuan spicy soup was delicious and has a good amount of heat. The stir fried vegetables were sautéed with garlic -- a bit on the bland side but pretty good and a good complement to the spice levels of the Sichuan fish. The quality and variety of Sichuan offerings in Columbus continues to grow, and Fiery Sky Asian Kitchen is the latest example of this. We will definitely be repeat customers here.

I liked how fresh their veggies were and when they ran out of one thing, they quickly replaced it. I made sure to grab some Napa cabbage, bok choy, enoki mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms, tofu skins, and beef. The beef was slightly frozen, which was a good sign because I led feel iffy about eating raw beef that was sitting out at room temp for a long time. They have an assortment of ramen so also got a pack of seafood ramen and was able to split it with my friend. In terms of choosing your ramen flavor, seasoning doesn't matter as much as noodle texture because they just use the noodles and toss the seasoning away. Once you get to the check out, they weigh your bowl and you can pay. The build your own bowls range from about $13-15 per pound and you can choose between dry or soup bowls and spicy or mild. I got the spicy mala soup bowl and it was medium spicy (4/10 for me). If you want more seasoning, there's a sauce bar that has cilantro, garlic, oil, hoisin, and other sauces. They cook the bowl for you and bring it to your table. I liked how they cut the fish balls in half to make them easier to eat. Everything was cooked well but the flat rice noodles got a bit soggy. They also have rice bowls and bingsoo (shaved ice) for dessert. By the time I finished my bowl, I was very full but I'll have to try their other dishes next time. In terms of pricing, if you're not a big eater, it would be a good option compared to all you can eat places since you can control the amount of ingredients and you don't have to feel the pressure of trying to finish all your food.
