We ate at George's on a Thursday night as a group of 7. They don't take reservations but we arrived around 5:30 and were seated right away at an outside table. Our server was excellent and knowledgeable. I personally had the snapper and the rest of the group has a mix of other fish plates and pasta. Every meal was plated beautifully and was equally tasty. One of My girlfriends had the shrimp plate and it was delicious! The fettuccine was also good if you don't like fish. Overall this place is definitely worth adding to your list to try. read more

Okay okay, I don't mind paying Pricier prices for amazing food. And this place is kinda both. My scallops were 45, I think, and I'd pay that over and over.. so yummy!! My husbands wagu steak was totally forgettable except for the fact that it was 75.00 and lacked flavor. Calamari was great, as always. Friend oysters were so good I don't care how much or remember... I'd pay it again and enjoy every single bite! Kids tenders were a hit w my little! Service was good at the table but the hostesses seemed scattered. Rooftop bar was nice! The ambiance, service and atmosphere were what you'd expect from the location and style of restaurant. Having said that, the food was decent, but nothing spectacular...especially for the price. I'd eat here again only because options are limited. Aside from that, a Publix chicken tender sub would have been much more enjoyable. The service was professional and the staff was courteous. Sooo we had an "interesting" experience here... My husband, myself and our baby went here at 2 hours prior to them closing! The person at the check in told us it was a 2 hour wait..we were quite confused! Anyways, we told her we had a baby so needed room for a stroller. She stated there was no room outside even though there were empty tables! Since we really wanted to try this place we agreed to sit inside...however, she sat us in this awkward spot between other families and there was no room my baby to even move! Never ever disappoints!!! George's is always one of my favorites from when I lived here and I was so excited to return and have my favorites! The lobster quesadilla is always amazing and the mango salsa is a great addition to it. The salmon is incredible and the rangoons with it are so so tasty. My boyfriend had the Pork Belly Tostada and loved his meal, and loved my watermelon feta salad so much he split it with me! It was perfectly seasoned with a little spice too! Our dishes were beautifully plated and we had a wonderful dining experience! Our waitress was so nice and enjoyable to chat with, I wish I had her name so I could mention her! She was very kind and offered us to go cups of water or soda as we mentioned we were headed on our road trip home! Food was delicious! Server was knowledgeable about what could be made gluten free as my wife has celiac. No problem at all. Delicious scallops, spicy and salty shrimp, and whipped feta. Only wish that we would've ordered dessert from here too... we went to drive to get ice cream just to find out that place was closed. read more

Every time we come to Aly's Beach we eat at George's and are never disappointed. Let me tell you about our dinner the other night. For starters we got the calamari fries and the Mexican street corn wedge salad. Both delicious!! For our entrees we shared the spicy salt and pepper shrimp and the seared sea scallops with goat cheese risotto. Both of these meals had great flavors and didn't make us feel to full! THE DESSERT!!! Our favorite brownie we have ever had and we are big dessert people and have had a lot of brownies. It's called the warm chocolate toffee goo and it is phenomenal. There are heath bars melted into the brownie. We almost had to get another one. We will be back for the brownie before we go home! Do not leave George's without one. read more

We have eaten many times at George's while we have been at our condo nearby. We always go there at least once while there and it has been our go to for our one fried shrimp dinner. Last Friday night, October 18, we went expecting the usual but instead had a plate of the tiniest shrimp I've ever seen as opposed to the normal regular to even larger we have had for the past 10 years. If they got these in the popcorn frozen section of Publix, it would not be surprising. I'm not sure what has happened and if this is the new size but we won't be back. Add the credit card fee which we don't this is disclosed and yet another reason to look elsewhere. Sad to see a good steady restaurant decline like this. read more

A very good dining experience at George's. The food was really good. We started off with the calamari fries and lobster quesadillas. The calamari fries were quite large and tasty. Lobster quesadilla was a party in my mouth- both appetizers were worth the money. For my entree I got the fried shrimp which tasted so fresh and were properly breaded and fried as expected from a place like this. I opted for the grits instead of the French fries and I highly recommend the grits, they were dynamite. The surprise of the whole meal was the hush puppies. Perhaps the best hush puppies I've had in my life. I'm not originally from SEC country, but I've eaten seafood all over SEC country in my 38 years and these were damn good. I washed it down with a spicy margarita made with fresh lime juice. Had great service and will be going back to this place next time I'm in 30A. read more

We were really excited for dinner here and it was a bit of a disappointment, but a few things were great. We arrived right at 5 and were seated immediately. It was a cold evening so we sat inside but they have heaters outside and it's enclosed so that would have been an okay option as well. We started with the lobster quesadilla and for it to be raved about so much on here, we thought it was just okay. Had a lot of meat on it including crab and shrimp so that was nice but otherwise didn't have a lot of flavor, even with the sauce. The pineapple salsa on it was yummy. It was a big quesadilla but not really worth $25 in my opinion. I want to say that the crab cake dinner was delicious. Crab cake was cooked perfectly and was the perfect size. The sweet potato gnocchi was amazing and this dish was the highlight of the night. The house key lime pie was yummy! My husband got the chef's feature which was a steak with chimichurri sauce, with steak fries and asparagus. He ordered it medium rare and it came out rare. My husband isn't one to complain or ever send food back so he took a few small bites but then when he cut into the middle it was basically raw and cold. We overheard our neighbor say the same thing about his steak and was sending it back so he decided to say something as well since the cold meat turned him off from eating it. Our waiter was apologetic and took the plate back. We weren't trying to get free food but were expecting a new steak, but when the plate arrived back it was his original steak with the two pieces he cut off of it to inspect it, so basically the chef rubbed the sauce off and threw the pieces back on the skillet and re-plated it.., which honestly just seems so unsanitary considering the silverware my husband used to cut it had been in his mouth. Not sure if that's how it's usually done since we never send food back, but it just seemed a little strange. Like I said, a few positive parts of the night, but the steak situation just weirded us out! Staff was very nice and service was quick. read more

My burger was a little overcooked(Med) and a bit dry, the bun was typically bad(like most burgers now, they don't use regular hamburger buns, the use those oversized brioche buns that are dry, I guess you can tell, I don't care for them. French fries were awesome, lightly battered n crispy fried, best I had in 4 days here. Blackened grouper tacos were delicious, as per my wife.
