Lots of food , to much for me, but very good. Excellent , fast service. I loved the hash browns, but my mom did not. My sister said they were ok. Normally I like to get two eggs , hash Browns and toast, but today I tried there special eggs Karkinagri which was interesting. The meat was more on the processed side than we liked, but normally we don't eat meat anyway. My sister had the western omelette, she liked it. Coffee is ok, coffee shop coffee. Rude. I dropped my mask on my morning walk to eat at George's. I have supported them all of COVID. I was told to leave, and they did not have a box of guest masks to use. They didn't even offer an apology or to be seated outside as an alternative. Just a "Please Leave". I returned later with a mask from the French Bakery that happily had a mask, and was very helpful and nice. I shared my better experience of good manners from their competitor, and was told " don't come back". So much for being a loyal customer and good tipper during COVID, not even a thank you after all our meals there. read more

Came with a coworker for breakfast. Service was a bit slow for it being pretty empty mid-week breakfast time. But the food was good and the server offered gluten free bread when I asked for my order to be noted that I have to eat gluten free. The serving was huge and pretty tasty. I would definitely go back for breakfast and may just have to check it out for lunch. read more

Don't expect to get what you order if you are not sitting inside the restaurant to eat. 90% of the time my to-go order has been completely wrong (someone else's order) or it is missing something. After 7+ incorrect to-go meals I felt a review was necessary just to let people know. The food is good which is why it gets 2 stars, but man is it frustrating that they consistently get it wrong, won't be ordering any to-go orders after this last one, which is a bummer. But would still eat inside as you can much more easily send food back and correct it real time. read more

This is my second time here for brunch. Since Kirkland has limited places for brunch, I come here. Service is good but I'm not sure about the food. The pancakes were overdone, too thin and chewy. I should've gone with the waffles. The breakfast burrito wasn't good so not the place for that. Haven't tried the omelettes but they look good on the plate. read more

I would love to give this place 5 stars because it is my absolute FAVORITE place to get breakfast, the eggs Benedict with feta cheese is amazing; its the only thing I have ever ordered! Other food I have tried from stealing bites off of other people plates has also been delicious, but I always go back to the eggs Benedict! The Reason it isn't being given 5 stars is for the service, sadly it's mediocre. I must say that the service is friendly, IF they ever show up to take your order. We typically go there for breakfast when we are walking in downtown Kirkland. The breakfast menu is good. The Service is good too. However, we seem to get the same waitress every time we go in. She always forgets something and she hardly ever interact with us. Seems like she is dazed and not in this world. It is also a bit overpriced for what you get. But they can charge their prices because there are not too many breakfast places in Kirkland. read more

George's is...diner-plus! Family run for, what, 40 years? They've added a full bar in recent years, but the menu is diner: breakfast all day, burgers, grinders, sandwiches, salads -- a greek theme running through the menu, while not overwhelming it. The food is really pretty good. The portions fit the price. The service is attentive. The thing I love about George's (besides the thick bacon), is the sense of community. New-comers feel welcomed, regulars feel like family. Everyone should have a diner they "belong" to -- this, to me, is Main Street America. read more

My husband had eaten here once before and said the food was good. We stopped tonight (Friday) on our way through town. It took the waitress a while to come to us once we were seated. She never really introduced herself and was luke warm at best. I ordered the village salad and a diet coke husband the grinder with a side of au jus and a bowl of chicken chili. My salad was delicious, great dressing, fresh veggies and warm pita bread, overall a nice big portion. I never did get my diet coke and since the waitress barely came around I gave it up. My husband's meal on the other hand left a lot to be desired. Portion size was good but his "hot" sandwich was cold as was the au jus that we were warned was really hot. Everytime we needed anything it took forever to get someone's attention. My husband ended up wanting a beer but knew the wait would be long so he went and paid for one at the bar. The same beer ended up on our final billions so we had to ask for a refund on that. All in all not an impressive experience. Only gets 2 because my salad was good. read more

Absolutely love this place! We were in town for a medical appointment & stayed at a close by hotel. We found George's online, decided to order their meatloaf dinner for take out & absolutely loved it. Definitely tasted like homemade, as a matter of fact, we liked it so much, we decided to try breakfast. We both ordered the Western omelet with Gyro meat & it was tasty, tasty, tasty (and huge)! Every time we're in town, we visit George's, whatever we stay at the hotel, or we just on a follow up appointment for that day. George's is our go to place!! read more

Food is good. Very clean & remodeled so it is pretty bright & comfortable. The front windows roll open so it is a popular place on a Summer day. Can be pretty loud with the open floor plan. This open plan also allows you to watch your food sit in the window for almost 15 minutes while staff walks by. I even watched while the manager/owner had a conversation with cooks thru the window. He then meandered away. At least they have a heat lamp over the food so the top of your food stays warm. Good thing I ordered a salad. The only smile I saw from my server was when she delivered the final check. Note to self. Order from Uber Eats next time. For a $14 salad I'd hoped for more. read more

Super yum place right in downtown Kirkland. They have a spread of things to choose from, from breakfast to lunch and dessert options. Service is usually pretty decent, though last time seemed like our waitress had some attitude and never came to check on us throughout our meal-had to flag her down a few times just to get more water. We all have our bad days and it's usually a great place to eat so we will be back! I think they are even offering live music some nights as well that may worth checking out! read more

Meh.... My buddy and I swung in for breakfast on 4th of July. Got a place in the bar very quickly. Our service was very good. Waitress was friendly, accommodating (my buddy doesn't eat eggs), and our coffee and water glasses stayed full. Really, though, you go to a place for the food...and that's where it seems like it was really phoned in. I had the italian sausage and eggs. I don't know where they get their sausage, but they need to look elsewhere. It lacked any substantial flavor. The eggs were rather small, but they were cooked exactly as ordered. The toast was a bit overdone, bordering on burned (but I'll qualify that with the fact my wife says I don't like toast...I like "warm bread"). My buddy had chicken-fried steak with bacon. Bacon was very good, but the steak seamed to be a frozen steak out of a box that had been re-fried. It was also incredibly salty (and I love salt...). Look, this place has a lot going for it, I think....the people are very nice, it's a fun place to go, etc. If they can step-up their food, I think it could be some place I return to....maybe I'll go back in a few months to see how things are going. read more

Mixed feelings, but great food. I will definitely go again! We went for a Sunday breakfast and the wait was reported to be 20 minutes, but was more like 35. We were seated on uncomfortable barstools. It took about 10 minutes to get coffee. We were told a new pot was being brewed, but then they forgot the IOU. The omelettes we ordered came with some of the freshest lightly sauteed vegetables I have had. Yum! But the toast wasn't done and didn't come until we were half done. Bummer. Drink refills were slow. Decor is blah. But the food was great. We will go back to try dinner...and we will try for an earlier brunch. read more

Unfortunately this place is now solidly mediocre. Service has always been a challenge here but over the past two years the food quality has gone down hill, the prices have gone up, and the portions have gotten smaller. The restaurant is really nice looking after the remodel but food is what keeps people coming back and unfortunately it's not good enough to return. read more

Great BLT!! I always get the roof of my mouth torn up with the toast when I get a BLT. Here, they butter the toast! It's a wonderful flavor that's crispy, not dried out toast. It's sourdough too!!! Don't make the mistake of not getting the fries. You will regret it. read more

Had the worst service EVER at Georges in Kirkland today. After waiting for 15 minutes got a seat and ordered. 30 minutes later still no food (how hard is it for a hamburger and a order of spaghetti with salad?) so talked to the hostess indicating that we would be leaving soon if we didn't get the order. She indicated on average it takes a minimum of 30 minutes to get food. Then comes the waitress saying she's not sure when the food was coming out, and didn't know where the order was. Note that the place was NOT filled to capacity - and there were at least 3-4 tables in the same boat. It also looked like there were at least 4 servers standing around waiting on food from the kitchen consistently. Although the new remodeling looks good, I would say you should now avoid the place - it looks like they might have new management that don't know what they are doing (sadly). #worstserviceeveratGeorges read more

George's has abruptly opted out of this program which we learned tonight AFTER we placed our dinner order having laid the Passport card in plain view of the server. As a 20 year supporter of this restaurant , they just blew it for us and we will likely select other Kirkland Restaurants to spend our $$ at in the future. Great friendly staff, and wonderfully tasty food! Had the Belgian waffle/strawberries. Strawberries were very fresh. Hubby had omelette half order and still more than enough to fill him up. He did they were excellent and they looked it. Also a great diner ambiance. A bit pricey but you know that walking in due to location as I'm sure the rent is not cheap. Having grown up in Kirkland - I've been to George's more times than I can count. I was classmates with one of his son's and it just feels like family every time I go there. The fact that the food is WONDERFUL doesn't hurt a bit! Highly recommend stopping by George's. My husband and I have been eating at Georges for about 10 years now. Always great food at good prices. This place is always busy early on the weekends. The breakfast is the best around! I do miss talking to George as he passed away a few years ago :( But his son has taken over the restaurant, and has been doing an amazing job. My Favorite food there is the Gyro Salad. How can you not love Georges.. Great omelets and other breakfast treats. Georges is a weekly stop for my family and I on the weekends for a great breakfast. For me, food typically outweighs service. I'll wait patiently for a table, sit calmly while an overworked server scurries to grab my order, and enjoy the idea of a delicious entree placed in front of me...I mean, it's busy! Right?! That being said, my most recent visit to George's didn't impress. Although it was busy, it wasn't busy enough to justify the 1.5 hours it took for our 4 top to order, get food, and pay. It almost felt like the server (who we didn't see after she initially took our order) went on break and didn't tell anyone to take our table. The food was very good. Order the santorini and chicken chili if you get a chance. Just make sure you remind your server that you're there for service AND food. Not service OR food. I'm honestly sad to write a one star review, as I've given this restaurant ample amounts of tries before doing so. Today, I was ignored while waiting to pickup a to-go order I placed roughly 30 minutes in advance. After patiently waiting, which I don't mind doing, I was curtly told "wait girl I'll be with you soon." So, I waited while the waitress tended to the restaurants tablet/ipad. Soon enough, maybe 5-7 minutes in total, she asked my name & abruptly walked away. Returned within the minute & placed a to-go order on the table in-front of me. I was confused if it was mine or another order because this was not clarified. Of course, I don't want to touch other people's food, so I tried to get her attention to ask. Unfortunately, I was ignored yet again. Luckily, the order was mine & I didn't have to touch too much of the contents to figure that out. On top of the extremely uncomfortable experience I had there, our order was incorrect...again. Went here for the first time for lunch & wasn't' very impressed. We weren't even sure who our waiter was, as we had 3 or so people tending to our table.. who were all MIA after we got our food. That wouldn't normally bother me but my friend ordered fries for an appetizer with ranch & mustard, but they forgot her mustard & we had to flag someone down for it. I ordered the chicken burger with the honey mustard on the side, & he even wrote this down as he was taking the order, & it was not on the side when it got to me :( it took awhile to get our food so I wasn't going to bother sending it back (it wasn't very busy at this time either). Honestly this place is 3.5 stars. Their service is great. I have been here a couple of times for breakfast, and their breakfast is above average, and their coffee is good. I recently had the spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. The pasta was cooked well. However, the meat sauce and meat balls were very bland. I had to add a lot of salt for some taste. They could also improve by adding a third meatball based on the size. read more

I really wanted to like this place more. It is family run and small family run business are what I think makes Kirkland unique. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was fair. I was between 3 or 4 stars. When I have breakfast I want great coffee and great bacon. The coffee was "gas-station quality" coffee and the bacon was very fatty and did not have much lean on it. So as far as atmosphere and friendliness goes I would give it 5 stars. But the food quality was only really 3 stars. So I settled on 4 stars. I tend to think that with small improvements in their bacon and coffee quality that I would give them 5 stars. That said, it is very inexpensive and you probably get what you pay for. read more

We ate here twice. I found this place on a scouting mission. I had lunch here and we came back with a party of four and six the next day. All food was delivered at the same time and beyond expectations. The drinks were strong and the food amazing whether breakfast, lunch and dinner (although we were only there for breakfast and lunch). We had egg dishes all great for breakfast and especially loved the Benedix avocado toast runner special and I forgot the name it's a vegetarian dish which scrambled eggs potatoes tomato arugula spices and cheese get it with a side of biscuits, oh my, oh my. Sorry no pictures. The dinner menu looks really fun and my on my next trip to Kirkland I will stop here for dinner. We went on a Sunday morning, very crowded time. We were given a 45 minute wait and a suggestion of walking along the waterfront. We had a great time there as it's just two blocks away. We checked back with them and our table was ready in 25 minutes really courteous staff. There is lots of counter seating to the left as you walk in. This place used to have good food and services but it has gone down the hill. The food quality is terrible and they have jacked up the prices. The food is super oily and usually soggy and gross. For a $15 average I would definitely go somewhere else. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. read more
